1720 Brommer St, Santa Cruz“Came in just to get a backing for an earring and was not disappointed. Everyone in the shop was friendly, and was able to help me in a quick manner. The shop is small, but the shop is also extremely clean and pleasing to look at. Will definitely be coming here for future piercings :)”
“Very welcoming vibe. They were attentive and ready to answer any questions while not being overbearing, and I was in their store for a while ? when I did need help, they were very kind and we had a great conversation.”
“Volunteering here is easy, fun, and grounding. Simply show up during hours, sign a waiver, and you're good to go. Its so peaceful and beautiful here. It's honestly a great idea for a date to volunteer here together. I love going on the weekends just to weed for a couple hours with my partner and friends.”
“About a year ago my sweet puppy got a hold of a very fragile ring given to me by my grandmother. Thankfully he didn't swallow it, but he totally mangled it. The ring is over 50 years old and was given to my grandmother as a birthday gift from my grandfather when she turned 40. I was heartbroken and was told multiple times that it would be very difficult or near impossible to repair because of how thin the band was and how delicate the setting. Greg at Stephan's Fine Jewelry examined the ring thoroughly and talked me through two options to repair it. I appreciated how honest Greg was with me about expectations for both options, and how careful he was in examining the ring. I ended up having the band replaced and the setting repaired and reset and I couldn't be happier with it. Greg is a master of his craft and I'm glad I ended up taking my grandmothers ring to Stephan's. I will absolutely use and recommend them for fine jewelry repair moving forward. Thank you Greg! And everyone who I chatted with at Stephan's - the staff is so kind. Pictures of before and after are below. It's hard to see how truly ruined it was but it's a small miracle the diamonds stayed intact. The prongs were partially twisted and the band was about to break from how thin and chewed it was.”
“Very well curated products and plants. Mostly inspired by Scandinavian and local design. Always worth a visit when spending time in Santa Cruz. A nice and helpful owner and team.”
“This place is great, my wife took an old gold bracelet that wouldn't stay clasped. She knew it was gold and not plated, as that is what she buys. we couldn't find a kart stamp on the bracelet so we were not sure of the gold quality. The person working the shop had no problem taking the piece and testing it. When he returned he informed us that the bracelet was 18k and carefully explained what he offers for gold and gave us some alternative methods for maybe getting more for it. We understood his offer and took it. We felt was very good offer. It was a great transaction and we can highly recommend this business. We'll be back”
“Such a great spot in Santa Cruz! Adore the variety of items they have here. It's the perfect place to treat yourself or find gifts for others. Love that they have mini variety options of some of their staples for gifts. They have a mix of local makers as well here, which is always nice when you want to shop local. Everyone here is always super sweet and they also host events sometimes too which is a blast! Highly recommend!”
“I just returned home after having such a wonderful experience at Ideal Jewelry..the owner and young woman working couldn't have been kinder or more helpful..I bought a Timex watch with expandable band and tried to make the band smaller by watching a youtube video.Long story short , I had heard about Ideal and went right down and within 20min. my band was fixed and the charge was so minimal..I highly recomend Ideal Jewelry especially since it's family owned..Thank you so much for your kindness..I will be back.Trina”
“I went in during Christmas and found four things I really loved. The customer service is excellent. The store is beautiful and they had a glass sculpture creating a piece with the people who work there..”
“I stumbled upon this unique and cute store while going clothes shopping with my gf next door at Amber Moon (one of her favs) and found my experience delightful. Not really knowing what kind of products they sell, I was happy to find beautiful fair-trade jewelry and a cacao bar. The jewelry is gorgeous and a lot of it had cool geometric designs which I thought looked awesome (lots of triangles and eyeballs). They also sell healing crystals which I do not know a whole lot about but the staff there was happy to share about their positive energy benefits. The thing I was most excited about was their ceremonial cacao though because this was something I had heard great things about but had yet to have the opportunity to partake in. I asked about what makes it a ceremonial cacao and was told that part of it is in the harvesting of the cacao and how the people involved in that process understand the sacred nature of this spiritual plant. You are free to have them make you a warm cup of cacao to drink there (they have a couple of seats outside) or they sell it by the brick for you to take home (I think the cacao brick is around $60). There are a few different options when ordering that has different tastes and health benefits. To be honest, though, the flavor of the cacao is similar to earth. After an interesting explanation of what cacao is and the different benefits associated with the combinations of flavors offered I decided on the Mama Amor that I was told helps to open up the heart space and promote healing. The other option I ordered was the elevate that I was informed helps to raise vibrations, but not like caffeine which tends to be short-lived, but in a more mellow, sustained kind of way, and I was not at all disappointed. Before drinking my cup I said some positive affirmations and a few prayers and I almost immediately felt my heart full of love and my energy being lifted into a place of positivity, healing, and gratitude. To be truly objective after a few great visits I did bring my gf here to share the experience with me and she did have a terrible reaction which included her being sick. However, she told me that she would like to go back and try the cacao again in the not-so-distant future. In the meantime though, I will enjoy stopping by occasionally to browse the gorgeous jewelry, sacred crystals and attempt to open up my heart space with a cup of ceremonial cacao.”
“At least a couple of times I've had watches repaired and/or resized here, and they've always provided good service, quite fast, a good combination of friendliness, politeness, and professionalism, and for a decent price.I have a piece of jewelry that needs to be repaired, and I'll check with DW first; I'm curious to see, and hopeful about, how the experience with the jewelry side of things goes.”
“I love this store! The jewelry is gorgeous! The stones are cut to shine with light, and are so beautiful set in handmade settings! It is so refreshing to see jewelry that embraces natural stones in artistic settings!”

“Beyond their mission, this store is a little gem! It has a variety of locally made and sourced goods from lip balm, herbs, candles and more! The best part is the quality of the products use high end ingredients and truly show the love and care when the team makes them. Take a gander and be sure to ask about their mission as well!”
“Henry, the owner, has the most well curated variety and quality stones, crystal and rocks in unpolished, polished form or figurines and jewelry settings. There is so much available! And Henry knows so much about them all. Such a friendly, amicable and welcoming person. We make it a point to always visit Henry’s shop whenever we go to Santa Cruz. Very highly recommend a visit. ?”
“Definitely a cool shop at the Swift Street Courtyard. I love small boutique stores like this. Beautifully and carefully curated collection of goods ranging from office to kitchen to skin care to outdoors. Pricey but fun! Malin & Goetz, Aarke, Baggu, hand crafted pottery / ceramics & jewelry, candles, Aesop... the list goes on. I love their greeting card selection - creative & witty & one of a kind. A little on the upper scale for home goods but very unique finds. Fun place to browse and kill time because you'll find very interesting items. You bet we didn't leave empty handed. Putting this under the "there is something for everyone" store category.”
“Great service. Been going there for years and never had a hard time getting what I need. Everyone in there is always helpful and very personable with everyone who comes in.”
