“New hotel very clean. Great housekeeping.

Rooms: Big clean comfortable beds. Big pillows to match king size bed.

Food & drinks: Poor breakfast hours. Everywhere property stays till at least 10am on weekends some 11am. Not this place 930am is there closing time. Guess you can not relax early morning if you want breakfast. Quality was middle of the road on the food, institutional soggy overcooked
potatoes and lacking flavor. Even though they put onions and peppers they are cooked to slimy texture.”

“My husband and I stayed here while travelling through Santa Cruz by motorcycle. This location was charming, clean, comfortable, and had fantastic service (the staff were amazing/helpful). It's approximately one city block from the beach - ideal! The hotel provided beach towels & bicycles for us. Every day, we enjoyed a delicious and nutritious breakfast. On days when we returned to the hotel by 4 pm, there was a fantastic happy hour with snacks and beverages! Parking was never a problem; we always had a spot in the lot (we were on a motorcycle). We loved our time here and look forward to staying again!”

“I couldn't believe how nice my room was!!! Nice work area, very comfy love seat, fireplace and super comfortable king bed. I would have expected this amount of luxury to be twice the price. Two block walk to the uncrowded beach and plenty of restaurants to choose from”

“Perfect distance from everything fun in Santa Cruz! Incredibly affordable, clean rooms, and wonderful management. We wanted to stay an extra night and management made that happen for us. The rooms aren’t huge, but it was perfect for two people! Will definitely be coming back.”

“A very nice hotel in Santa Cruz, not far from the beach and town. My room was really very clean, there is a nice atmosphere in the courtyard. Only the rooms are a bit noisy and I could hear people walking above me.”

“My family has been staying at Carousel Bean Inn for over 15 years, we love coming here. It may be a “two star” hotel, but in my opinion the renovated rooms, location, service, free parking, and complimentary breakfast make it a three star experience! The rooms are beautiful, and spacious enough for us to fit the pack n play for our 6 month old baby. The fridge with a freezer compartment was awesome for storing ice from the ice machine, and the microwave made heating baby food convenient. They also have an AC unit which is essential for hot nights with a kid! The king bed was super comfortable and soft. Being right across the street from the beach and boardwalk makes things a breeze. We were running behind in the morning with the baby, and the staff were gracious enough to allow us a late checkout. Super friendly front desk staff upon check-in as well! Not to mention the breakfast was amazing. Fanciest waffle I’ve ever had at a hotel breakfast. They had an ample selection of breakfast foods to fill up even big eaters, and we loved the HUGE fuji apples they had (most places usually have red delicious apples, which let’s face it, are never good). We will be staying here every time we come to the boardwalk with the family. :)”

“Hotel: modern, clean, with elevators and a heated outdoor swimming pool, which is a big plus. Great design!

Service: very polite, well organized and helpful. Always remembering about guests :)

Rooms: one small reservation is the wall separating our room from the neighboring one had a built-in door and was so thin that you could hear every word of your neighbors at night.

Drinks: first class ?? I have never had such good drinks in any hotel.”

“We love the Hamilton inns that we've gone to. This specific one had a really friendly man working the front desk when we checked in at night who was back in the morning and was happy to give advice on places to eat (they even provided a sheet full of recommended restaurants with some highlighted). Breakfast was the usual standard good options and a diabetic who needs to watch her carbs, I love that I can get full without needing extra insulin as they had egg and sausage but my son and husband loved the waffles :)”

“Wir hatten wirklich eine gute Zeit in diesem Motel. Der Standort ist fantastisch (man sieht das Meer!) und geht nur 2 Minuten direkt zum Strand. Das Zimmer war klein aber sauber und hatte gute Betten. Die Besitzerin war absolut cool und freundlich und hat uns sogar 1x bei einer etwas merkwürdigen Situation verteidigt. Jederzeit wieder!”

“Really reasonably priced motel for whatnot has to offer. I enjoyed my suite with fireplace and jacuzzi tub for only 195 in the summer! When other places were charging 3-400 for just a regular room!”

“Overall it was okay. The location is perfect, the room spacious, but the cleaning could be a little better. Parking costs $33 per night.

A tip for the owners that will make your customers happier: It is not necessary to take copies of ID and credit cards. :-)”

“This Best Western was good, clean and near the freeway. The noise level was good despite its location. There's a Denny's located directly across the street. The breakfast was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. There are many resturants within walking distance

Rooms: The room was clean and spacious.

Safety: I felt secured in the area.

Walkability: Walkability was wonderful. You can actually walk downtown and to the boardwalk. Its within a mile. We walked through the park to go downtown. The park was very clean and tranquil.

Food & drinks: Food and drinks were good. There's a water purification dispenser in the gym area.”

“At minimum, the hotel deserves 3 stars as it hits all the basic expectations I have of a hotel: the water pressure was comfortable & hot. In addition, the bed was comfortable, the room was reasonably sized, not carpeted with a good set of black out curtains. In other words, this hotel did not disappoint.

It gets a 4 for all the other perks: free parking is the highest for me. Its literally across the street from Marianne's and a decent dispensary. They're also dog friendly and charge a reasonable 30$ per night fee. There are cameras in major locations.”

“A Memorable Stay at Fairfield Inn Santa Cruz

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Fairfield Inn in Santa Cruz, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel was something special.

First and foremost, the location couldn't have been more perfect for us. As frequent visitors to Davenport, we found Fairfield Inn's proximity to our favorite spots ideal. It made our travels seamless and allowed us to fully enjoy the beauty of the Santa Cruz area.

However, what truly set Fairfield Inn apart was the exceptional service we received. It was my husband's 44th birthday during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond to make it memorable. They surprised him with a delicious cake and a festive balloon, which truly touched our hearts. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail made his birthday extra special, and we'll always remember their kindness.

Throughout our week-long stay, the service remained consistently excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist with any request we had.

One highlight of our stay was the breakfast offered at Fairfield Inn. Each morning, we looked forward to starting our day with a delicious spread of options that catered to every taste. From fresh fruit to hot entrees, there was something for everyone, and it always left us feeling satisfied and ready to tackle the day ahead.

In conclusion, our time at Fairfield Inn Santa Cruz was nothing short of fantastic. From the perfect location to the incredible service and amenities, every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. We can hardly wait to return and create more unforgettable memories at this wonderful hotel. Thank you, Fairfield Inn, for an unforgettable experience!”

We will be visiting the property in the future”

“Not a fan of paying for parking in an area that isn't walking distance to the local attractions, however it was only $12. Otherwise very clean mid tier hotel. Good pool/hot tub.”

“We had a pleasant stay. The inn is right off of a main road to downtown. The walk from here to downtown is about 15 min.
The rooms have a ton of windows pointing inwards to the brook and a greenery area. Our room had a skylight, which was nice until morning.
You can see into your neighbors rooms from certain areas.
The tub was nothing special, and we couldn't figure out how to turn ours on, or it was broken. It was very big though. Fit both me and my wife comfortably.
The rooms walls were a little thin and we could hear the road all night, and our neighbors. We could also hear the brook so...
There was no AC or cooler, but Santa Cruz doesn't usually need it. They did have a couple fans in the closet if you needed it.
Last it was contactless check-in. We did need to contact them and it was easy and they were super helpful getting us what we needed.

Rooms: The rooms are cozy with a gas fireplace in front of the bed. There were windows wall to wall, making the rooms feel open. The rooms look out over the brook and you get the sounds of water running in your room.
Be aware the rooms walls are thin and so you can hear the road and any other renter who are noisy.

Walkability: It's about a 15-20 walk to downtown Santa Cruz.”

“My family and I enjoyed the beach not even a minute away, there's lots to explore for the little ones and the bored walk is just seconds away. Which we loved very much. Restaurants and shopping close as well , perfect for strolling with the kids to get some treats , we loved how friendly every one has been including the staff here at the hotel as well as friendly faces in town. Great place to come visit for the week if not more !!!”

“The room was clean. It's very close to the boardwalk. I would've given the room 5 ✨ but the tv only had one channel. Other than that it was worth the rate.”
