Large, clean store. After an accident and a torn plantar I need to wear Hoka shoes, a specific size that allows an orthotics. Sports Basement carries a large variety at a reasonable price.

My wife and I visited this store to buy hiking and trail running shoes. They had a great selection, and it was easy to try on different pairs. The prices were also very reasonable. The staff were friendly and provided useful information, such as the release dates for new models. We each bought a pair of shoes and are very satisfied with our purchases. Highly recommended!

If, like me, you’ve grown tired of REI (deteriorating quality of merchandise, poor in-store selection etc.) then Sports Basement will be a revelation! Don’t let the unassuming strip-mall facade deter you; once inside you will be treated to a wonderful plethora of sporting and outdoor equipment. From bicycles to camping gear to footwear to apparel, Sports Basement has quality name brand items at reasonable prices. They even have team sports items for your little leaguers and soccer players! I’m glad I’ve discovered Sports Basement—- adios REI!

Fun place to shop! Was able to rent a wetsuit same day and go to Santa Cruz for the weekend!!! Everyone is very nice and helpful. If you are into triathlon's you have to check out Sport Basement San Ramon.

I’ve been going to Sports Basement San Ramon for a while. They always have what I need and if they don’t they plenty of alternatives. Their service Reps are friendly and helpful. The bike repair staff are the best! Knowledgeable, competent, friendly and efficient! Great place overall!

Everyone is very helpful and willing to spend time to answer questions. We go here for equipment rentals, bike maintenance, and to purchase items. Location is also convenient.

Best customer service around!! I came in as a new beginner to tennis just wanting a racquet, and walked away with demo racquets to try and so much knowledge on how all the racquets differ and which would be best for me thanks to Eduardo!! He was incredibly patient with how little I knew about tennis and not only answered all my questions but taught me so much about the racquets!
