“After stop and run damage to my Audi, cabriolet, Francisco and his team repainted the entire car. The quality of the work was amazing. Even areas one would never normally see were repainted. I have had a ton of compliments about the car since it was repainted, even though it is now 11 years old. The most important point I can make is that they take a great deal of pride in their work. “5 STARS for personal caring service. Jiffy Lube staff told me I needed a new muffler & brakes. Worried and as rattled as my muffler, Don (owner & grandson of Johnny Franklin) quickly got the truck up, surveyed the situation and tightened my loose muffler. He could have taken advantage of my auto ignorance. Instead, he reassured me I did not need new muffler/brakes and waved off my attempt to pay small fee. COME HERE IF YOU WANT HONEST, QUALITY SERVICE. A rare, local gem.”
“I wanted to add to my earlier review from --wow- ten years ago. Phil and his team remain the best. I have moved to south bay and I have a new mechanic down there who is also great. Phil's just too far away now, sadly. But this weekend I was in the city visiting family when my car burst a radiator hose. I had AAA tow the car to Phil's up in Marin. (it would have been $700 to tow it to the south bay!!) Bless him, he remembered me and my car. Even though it was after noon on a Friday, and the tow company didn't get the car to him til about 2:15, and they close at 3; he took a look at it, reassured me that it was ONLY the radiator hose and not something worse like a head gasket. Assured me that on Monday it would be fixed. What a relief not to have to worry over a longer holiday weekend. He knew we are farther away from home and wanted us to have the the peace of mind and knowledge so we could make decisions about how to proceed. Phil and team are just amazing. It's hard to find such great people who do great work. I feel lucky to have both mechanics.”

“I have a 2002 Solara with 230K miles on it, I took it in for an oil change and Juan Carlos showed me that I had broken rear shock that was making a lot of noise. I was very happy after replacing the rear shocks, until noises that were covered up by the broken shock moved from the back ground to the fore ground. And that started making me crazy. Juan Carlos was so patient with me, describing as best I could, what I was hearing. He kept telling me, "I just want you to be happy". and one by one, he tracked down what were the culprits... like a detective pursuing leads...and its an old car, and now.... its almost as quiet as when it was new. Sooo... am I happy,? OMG !!! I am so happy with how he helped me. So much so, that I bought him a bottle of Milagro Reposado Tequila to thank him, which just by coincidence, was his favorite tequila. So, If you are really pleased with his work, get him some tequila. And... if this review was helpful to you... I like Bourbon... just give it to Juan Carlos for me... Thank you, Rick”

“I no longer own a BMW now but when I did, A-1 was my primary mechanic for all issues on my beamer. Best price anywhere and did the recommended fixes that JP recommended and never had an issue again. My 2006 3 series had over 300k miles before I sold it almost a decade ago.
I now own another brand of vehicle but if I ever own a BMW again, this will be the first place I'll take it to without a second thought! They know BMW's down to the atom! You won't regret!”

He agreed to see me in the afternoon after finishing with another customer and sure enough, he was ready to help when I arrived. “My car needed new bearings, control arms and CV axle (when it rains it pours I guess). I shopped around and Marin Auto Care was not only competitively priced but the owner is awesome. There are no frills/embellishments when discussing the car with him. He will take a look at the car when you bring it to him - for my car he just told me to wait 15 minutes and took a look and instantly knew the problem(s). I didn't get the issue resolved right away just because I was not ready to spend money on the car yet and he had no issues with that. He was patient and when I was ready he scheduled it pretty quickly and finished the work in half a day and returned the car well ahead of the agreed upon return time. Like I said - no frills, no extras, no sales tactics - just what is the issue, here is how we can solve it! Pretty happy with the service.”
