“Windrose Provisions is a small boutique grocer, similar to Cookbook Market, Wine & Eggs, Sip Snack, and Altadena Beverage & Market. They carry interesting pantry items like olive oil, spreads, Sqirl Jams, ice cream, beverages, fresh farm produce, fresh farm eggs, coffee, potato chips, condiments, crackers, pasta, etc. Many of the items are locally produced. They get bread and baked goods from Bub & Grandma's, Clark Street Bread, and Gjusta but I'm not sure how often they get these deliveries. I went on a weekday and they only had day old Clark Street Bread items (50% off). Check the refrigerated case by the register for cheese, miso, soup, salads and sandwiches (@austinboos salads & sandwiches). Windrose Provisions is owned by the same people who own Windrose Farms in Paso Robles.Unlike Cookbook, Wine & Eggs, Sip Snack, and Altadena Beverage, they do not sell wine and spirits (missed opportunity). Windrose Provisions has one freezer with ice creams from Jeni's, McConnell's and 626, Uli's Gelato, frozen noodles, frozen dumplings, frozen pies, and frozen pizza. The produce selection seemed very sparse (but maybe they were waiting for a delivery). Come to think of it, the selection in general felt sparse. The place is stylish and minimal in design with wood shelving, white walls, and cute wire baskets. They also have a few tables and chairs. They have pop-ups, mostly on weekends. It seems like the best time to go is on the weekend. My picks:* Organic bunch of carrots, $3* Clark Street baguette, $3 (was 50% off, originally $6)* Walker Brothers kombucha, $5* Canyon Coffee instant coffee, $20* 626 Ice Cream, $13* Austin Boos' chicken sandwich, $7 (was 50% off, originally $14): The sandwich must have been day old but I couldn't tell and wasn't told when I selected it. It was a small sandwich on a baguette. The baguette was fairly chewy because it was a day old. I would have loved it fresh because it was made with a spicy chili oil, cubed boneless, skinless, roasted chicken, peanut dressing, cilantro, green onion, peanuts, and farm fresh kale and greens.”

“Every time I'm in the mood for some good Filippino food, I always stop by Chaaste for a quick takeout. Christian and his family are always welcoming and very pleasant to talk to. And they're very helpful. They have fresh hot food for purchase by the container/box sizes. I always get a little bit of this and that. Today, I got the 2 chicken skewers, lumpia shanghai, beef kaldereta, pancit bihon, and their famous mama san turons. If the weather was warmer, for sure halo-halo would be on the list, too (i always get that during the summer!!). And I also picked up a can of coconut water from the market side. Everything is delicious!! Come and try it for yourselves, and support the local small family business.”

“BEST. SANDWICHES. EVER! I've always heard of Lanza brothers and heard they were famous for their sandwiches and being a LA local I've never stopped by until recently. I've tried their tuna sandwich (10/10) and pastrami (9/10.) Each sandwich did not disappoint! The yellow chilies they have on the side definitely elevated the sandwiches. They're super fast here!! Will definitely be back for more delicious sandwiches :)”

“Been drinking this milk since my childhood in the 70's when the cows were at the corner and across the street. (Still have my parents wooden bottle caddy) We use to stick our heads out the windows and mooooo at them. Great family memory to the Montebello Dairy. I will continue to go there as long as they're still around. I can't forget about the jumbo fresh eggs at a very good price. Chocolate milk? DELICIOUS! EGG nog? Prefer in glass, but I still purchase it, The Best! My granddaughters refuse to drink out of plastic since I've introduced them to my childhood milk. What I do miss is the Popsicles and fudgesicles, and 50/50 bars from there, but it's ok the milk is still the THE BEST!!! Thank you for still being around. See you soon. God Bless.”

“I went to Trader Joe’s today on 2/14/24 & Susan deserves a raise she is very welcoming, kind, and helpful. She has a very good eye saw that one of the juices I got seemed opened I didn’t even see it and she changed it for a new one so kind of her and grateful she spotted that quickly.”

“Great deli, highly recommend. They are not open late, so you may have to get something to go. Lots of sandwiches, and other Italian food options. May want to phone in your order and save some time. No seating inside at the moment, no restrooms either. Parking, entrance, aisles and counter are accessible. Dedicated parking behind the building. If you have a date, stopping by to pick up stuff for a picnic is a great idea. Or my favorite, pick out a sandwich, bag of chips, and a hot item to split, you will have plenty to share. Then pick out each other's drink, and a cookie or two to share after your meal. Sharing food like this with a loved one can be really fun. They have a lot of interesting products for sale, could also pick out stuff to make a dinner later with. Even if you come alone, they will likely have something you will find appealing.Parking: Parking behind shop, should be plentyKid-friendliness: Should be able to find somethingWheelchair accessibility: Entrance, aisles, and counter are accessible.”

“I stumbled on this place. Carnitas and bolillo are so good. The bread was so soft it was dangerous. I read a yelp review that raved about the marinated chicken. I bought some and can say the review hit the nail on the head. The chicken was fabulous! I also bought a pack of yellow and blue corn tortillas and I was blown away. The brand was called La Mixteca. The blue corn was so good, I'm willing to drive 30 minutes one way to buy them again! 5 star”

“This review is for the man who directs cars in the parking lot he has long hair. He was so kind to hold my cart so it wouldn't roll away while I was putting my bags in the car when it started to rain. I needed a moment of kindness that day. Above and beyond customer service. Thank you. Everyone who works there is very nice and helpful. Love this TJs.”

“So I rarely leave reviews but felt that this place warranted one. I rarely eat pork if ever maybe once a year, with that said I go next door to this salon place but not for what you think. Was waiting and saw a lot of people coming and going at the meat place "LUPITA'S" next door, I'm always hesitant to try at those places but low and behold my mom who goes to the same beauty place was waiting and grabbed some carnitas and brought me some OMG that carnitas was soooo good, not greasy at all and hardly any fat, well my mom said you have to tell the man no GORDO Lmao. Aye my mom, I don't speak Spanish but I don't think that is the correct term in Spanish for FAT lol. Sooo I do recommend that anyone who is in the area grab carnitas, asada, or chicken. I hear it's all good and they have an "A" rating which is something I look for when buying or eating at an establishment. Ooh ooh forgot they even make food my mom said they make your burritos with fresh meat grab the raw asada and cook it and then make your burrito, yum! Talk about fresh, right!!”

“I have been coming to re_grocery since it opened in 2020. I love everything about this store. Staff make you feel very welcome and are knowledgeable about the product range. Every time I shop, I feel I am making positive impact and contribution to tackling the problem that is pollution caused by plastic packaging. Even though I have my favorites, I always find something new to try. I have bought household products at other refilleries in the past and can confidently say that the quality at re_grocery is noticeably better. I wish for the future where there is a re_grocery store on every corner of LA. Thank you team!!”

“I go for their small meat department. Small, but extremely high quality meats. The department staff is friendly and they make me feel like an old friend. I'm always greeted with a smile when at the checkout registers. This market is relatively small, but it's jammed-packed with delightful things to discover and find. I suggest that you visit for yourself. Stroll around and be amazed at the produce, the teas, desserts and the exotic foods and delicacies. Walk into this friendly, inviting and fun spot. Walk out a repeat customer.”

“Store is managed by an experienced group of humble, respectful, dedicated family members that have been apart of the local community for over 20 years. “I was craving some Turkish delights candy, and found this place on Yelp and bookmarked it. Since I was in Pasadena running errands, I decided to make a stop by here. The shop is small, but charming! Brightly lit with lots of yummy products lined up on the walls and throughout the shop: Dried fruits, roasted nuts, seasonings, buckets of nuts and what I call Turkish delights, but it's called Mediterranean Delights here. I was hoping for the pretty, extravagant ones I saw on the Yelp pictures, but they only had some pre packaged ones in bins. I like that they're in a sealed wrap so they last longer. There are a lot of packaged snack items that would make great gifts. Since I am nuts for nuts, I had to give these roasted treats behind the counter a try. The proprietor there was super friendly and let me try some pistachios before I bought them. There were so many flavor options I had trouble narrowing down what I wanted. I settled on lemon pistachios and sesame peanuts in addition to a few of the Mediterranean delights. The nuts are flavorful and tasted fresh and crunchy. The candies were pretty good also. All the loose items are sold by the pound and prices are pretty reasonable. Highly recommend this shop if you're looking for some fun flavored snacks!”

“Man, If youre a Vegan, You might not wanna step foot in here lol. We checked this meat market over the holidays and i experienced a whole bunch of exotic meats again. I purchased some beef, Chicken, Lamb, Eeel and you name it. Im not much of a steak eater. But they have all of the Rib Eye you can imagine. Little Vegetables and fruit here too. My first time here, I was impressed with the meats. There were no masks enforcement, But i dont really care, I still wore mine. Staff were cool. Hope i have the chance to visit here again. We have very few stores like these in Orange County. But that could change in the future.”
