Drawn to the name, The Higher Consciousness, I found such supplements to elevate my mind. It's a specialty shop located in the eclectic and diverse Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. They carry a wide assortment of unique cbd, mushrooms, and plant medicines not found elsewhere, all reasonably priced. The shop owners are very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to answering questions and making product suggestions based on your specific needs. You can also find an interesting assortment of cannabis and mushroom themed books, novelties, and gifts. I've been here a few times and truly recommend this place. Nothing but good vibes and great customer service here. Thanks guys! Not to mention, it's always good to support and shop local businesses.”

“We are regular customers of Other Avenues - it's just a few blocks away from our home. We've shopped here for 20 years. Early on there were some owner/workers who were really annoying - unfriendly know-it-alls (you might see this in reviews from years ago). But they seem to have moved on about 10 years ago - everyone we've run into the past few years have been wonderfully helpful - and friendly. The entire crew was amazing during the difficult days of the pandemic, as noted in the YouTube video "Other Avenues: Pandemic Thanks!" While we love parklets, the ones in front of that block on Judah do make it difficult to pop in while driving by, so most of our visits are limited to what we can carry home. Parking is tight also because of 2 major construction projects nearby (January 2024). Good selection of items, and their selection of bulk items is the best around. And it feels great to support a cooperative that continues to provide excellent service to the neighborhood since the 1970s.”

I don't know him personally but EVERY time I walk into the shop, he greets me with the biggest smile and genuine enthusiasm, and I always feel so glad that I stopped in. He is at the ready to help with any questions, but also won't be pushy if you don't have any. If I had one complaint, it would be for them to stay open till 7 PM instead of 6 PM--I have such a hard time making it there in time after work! Love, love, love!”

I don’t like synthetic drugs, Guillermo figure out what was wrong with me and within a few days my issues were resolved. “Surprised at the wide gamut of reviews here on yelp-- overall a solid 4 stars when I came by the other day. The place was closed with a "will be back in 10 min" sign, which was not a big deal. Store itself was what you'd expect. Organized, clean, and staff was pretty helpful. Got the job done, no big complaints. Only real complaint would be lack of selection -- I'm used to going to vitamin places with wall to wall selection. This place is more focused in that there is 1-2 options for whatever you are looking for. Recommend this location. Staff is helpful, and location is good being on Market.”
