301 Folsom St Suite B, San Francisco“Independently owned drug stores are becoming increasingly rare and even in large cities they are becoming few and far between.Central Drug store is such a place and it has been a San Francisco institution for decades, serving locals and the neighborhood with reliable and personal service. They have customers that stems back for decades, relying on their home delivery services for their medication. It's also a place where you can buy gift merchandises and your support can go a long way in keeping these folks in business as they struggle to compete with national chain stores.”
“Very helpful. Had many brand name items I needed when I visited Chinatown after getting off cruise ship. No price gouging. Also had copies of xeroxed maps showing where closest public toilets are located near their shop.”
9:30AM - 5:30PM
350 Parnassus Ave Ste 100, San Francisco“Right next to the UCSF Parnassus campus, this is the last of the true customer-oriented pharmacies in the city. I'll never step foot into a Walgreens or CVS again. Deeply empathetic, solution oriented, the kind staff here understands what it means to navigate the morass of healthcare, and will go out of their way to fulfill an order. I am so grateful for Robert and the rest of the team. Recommended forever.”
8AM - 8PM
1 Jefferson St, San Francisco“I had the pleasure of visiting the CVS store in San Francisco recently and was assisted by Raymond. His exceptional customer service made my shopping experience truly delightful. Raymond was incredibly knowledgeable and went out of his way to help me find exactly what I needed. His friendly demeanor and willingness to assist with a smile made me feel valued as a customer. It’s rare to encounter such dedication and professionalism. Raymond is a fantastic representative of CVS, and I look forward to returning thanks to his outstanding service. Highly recommended!”
“I refer everyone to Alto. They're the best. So much better than Walgreens! I was getting my prescriptions filled at the Walgreens in San Carlos because they have a 24 hour pharmacy but the wait when you go there to pick up your prescriptions is always super long, there's a bunch of people coughing in line and sitting in the chairs next to their reception desk, and one time when I got to my car I realized that they had given me someone else's medications! They gave me a bunch of narcotics with some other ladies name on the bottles. Who does that? So I switched all of my medication, my husbands medication, and my parents medication to Alto and they've been great!”
“Every time I visit this pharmacy ( CVS, 1690 Folsom St, San Francisco, CA.), I never cease to admire how well this team works under the management of Jessica Leung.”
10AM - 1:30PM 2 - 6PM
701 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco“This CVS pharmacy & its pharmacists have been incredibly helpful. I have been able to get a specific medication here that other CVS in the Bay Area have been unable to fill. I’m so grateful for their ongoing fulfillment of this prescription. The pharmacist is always so friendly & remembers me by name every time. It is such a pleasure to find such amazing customer service. I forgot my wallet last week & couldn’t get my Apple Pay to work, Felipe paid my co-pay! Wow, so wonderful. I will always cherish this CVS pharmacy”
7AM - 10PM
135 Powell St, San Francisco“I visited San Francisco while staying at a local hotel and found this Walgreens to be a great place for affordable breakfast, lunch, and water. Like a lot of city drugstores, this location has challenges with homeless people dropping in to grab things. Normally they have private security guarding the door but one morning we did see a person grab something and leave while nobody was guarding.”
9AM - 8PM
701 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco“I come here often to pick up meds and wanted to say that the pharmacy manager Glenn and his staff are always patient, friendly and most importantly care and willing to help. Really makes me look forward to the trip every time :)”
9AM - 6:30PM
1380 Howard St, San Francisco“These people are so kind and deal with so much that I can not believe they don't have a million great reviews. They are very impressive overall for a big city in cutting edge addiction specialists and helping people. Very genuine people and I love how they have a big security guard who is super no nice but there to keep the clients and staff safe. I have so many nice things to say about the PHACS pharmacists and how they now will make home visits in certain situations which is amazing. I more just love their patience dealing with San Francisco homeless and Downtrodden. They are angels to me and I refer them to a lot of people. If you or a loved one is looking for help to get off off opiates including fentanyl they will help save your life. All you have to do is show up and ask for help and they will guide you with kindness, no judgement and real help with medical knowledge and success stories. I recommend buprenorphene and or Suboxone over methadone as I was on methadone for 3 years and it did not help me like bup did but every case is different. I just want to say Thank You for not giving up on people and giving people a second chance at this precious life. Prayers for you and your family and loved ones and I'll be referring people to you. Take Care CBHS and PHACS and RAMS is also awesome too. Shoutout to Damian the pharmacist team and all those making PHACS possible at CBHS Pharmacy. You deserve 10 stars.”
10AM - 8:45PM
1685 Haight St, San Francisco“My husband went in here today and came out a happy man! He says the manager there is on point and knowledgeable, any questions they have you covered. He highly recommends and he is picky! Thank you !!”
“I've known this pharmacy for over 20 years. The owner clearly cares about the patients. I was a pharmaceutical rep back in 2002. One day he was trying relentlessly to get a prior authorization through for one of my company's drugs. He impressed me so much with his effort that it compelled me to do what I could from my end. I was able to get authorization for a free 90 day supply for the patient while he fought with insurance. Eventually the patient's insurance approved it. The pharmacists at the big stores would never have taken the amount of time or effort.”
9AM - 5:30PM
943 Geneva Ave, San Francisco“After moving to SF started using Daniel's after a recommendation by my psychiatrist. Free delivery anywhere in San Francisco, including for controlled substances, accept Medicare Part D and Medi-Cal, and they've answered the phone within 10 seconds every time I've called. I'd give 5 stars except that the refill app (myGNP) is a little funky but well worth the trade off in convenience. I don't think there's another solution that's better for non chain pharmacies, however.I love supporting a local, mom and pop business (instead of a behemoth like Walgreens or Caremark who just want your money and are often too busy to be anything other than "human AI" (in that annoying CVS computer voice). Thanks to Daniel's for the old world customer service.”
10AM - 1:30PM 2 - 6PM
789 Mission St, San Francisco“Had to switch to this CVS with my medications. This CVS in located in the Target building. Staff here is professional and the location is clean. It can get busy because it is smaller, and most likely they have moved more clients to this CVS because more CVS stores have closed.”
2AM - 1:30AM
498 Castro St, San Francisco“One of the few Walgreens pharmacies that are still open 24x7 in San Francisco and on the Peninsula. The pharmacy staff is always courteous and professional and happy to help answer your questions regarding prescription and over-the-shelf medication.”
8AM - 10PM
377 32nd Ave, San Francisco“I went in looking for athletic tape for an injured finger. All I found was bandage style tape. I asked the clerk for help. She couldn't find what I needed. I left and went shopping next door. After I left the other store the clerk called to me from the doorway of CVS holding my item. She had found it while I was gone and waited hoping I would pass by. She was so kind and friendly and helpful. I felt cared for. I felt like I was participating in a community like I'd been brought up to believe in watching Sesame Street as a child. Thank you to that young (Indian/Pakistani/Desi?) woman. I wish I could remember your name. I strongly recommend her for manager. ??”
“Ive been coming to this store since I was a kid , back in the mid 2000s and I honestly feel welcomed and acknowledged every visit . This store has deep roots with the community that lives in the Fillmore . The prices are fair and the store is always organized and clean.”
“Have been getting my meds from here for less than 10 years. They are pretty good and can package your meds and have them delivered to you through the mail. Check them out!!”
“I love this pharmacy! The employees treat me with courtesy, privacy and respect. They are really good with keeping your medications lined up so trips to the pharmacy are minimized (and they offer a personalized delivery service). I came to AHF in 2022 with a change in Insurance. It did take a week or two to set everything up when I transferred in, but it was well worth it, and there was very little effort on my end other than answering some basic questions. My favorite thing is the AM/PM blister packs which really help keeping dosing on schedule. Compared to a Walgreens/CVS, hands down I would choose AHF. Earlier than 2022 reviews are not at all similar to my experience. I would definitely recommend this pharmacy if you qualify.”
“The middle age Asian clerk is very helpful and very fast. She knows her job. She gets our packages at the Fed Ex section and she signed us up for the Walgreens credit card. I returned to the store to try to return candy and she was right, if I did that it will cancel out my cash rewards I earned. I came back another day, she wasn't there to return the candy. Later on customer service told me I needed to purchase an item with the credit card to reinstate my rewards and I had 45 days to do it. I charged on my credit card and my rewards were reinstated. In the beginning I felt she was a bit abrupt as we had a difficulty trying to deal with the issue of Fed Ex not responding and not receiving our delivery. She calmly suggested we go to the Fed Ex headquarters located on Sloat Blvd. We did and was able to resolve our issue. This clerk is a diamond, she exemplifies professionalism, knowledge on her job duties and patience with the customers. Wish more employees would model after her work ethic. She's also very courteous.”
8AM - 7PM
1600 Owens St 1st floor, San Francisco“One thing I love about being a member of Kaiser is that I can choose my doctor at any location. I have doctors all over the Bay depending on the service that they provide and the convenience of where I will be for work. This location is the newest one in San Francisco and it is so beautifully constructed. The parking garage is across the street and they also have validation for patients. My doctor's visit was quick and easy and I was not only able to get my prescription, but the pharmacist asked me if there was any of my other prescriptions refilled. I was not planning on doing so, but since she asked and I needed to do it soon, I did. I love this new location and if I have to get services, I will definitely try to schedule it at Mission Bay Campus.”
7AM - 11PM
459 Powell St, San Francisco“I can't say enough about how nice the employees at the checkout are at this location. Got my BART card reloaded so quickly and easily. I stayed across the street so was in and out several times; on each occasion I was really impressed by how cheery the checkout staff is.”
9:15AM - 6PM
1836 Noriega St, San Francisco“Folks here are very efficient. Not the most friendly but they get the job done. Brought my mom here for both the Covid and RSV vaccines with no out of pocket expenses.”
8:30AM - 6PM
2100 Webster St Ste 105, San Francisco“Despite corporate decision to cave to anti women policies, this particular Walgreens went above and beyond filling a prescription for me minutes before closing time.”
9AM - 1PM 1:45 - 8PM
850 La Playa St, San Francisco“I have never used an RX delivery service before but Safeway Pharmacy has been so great. Totally recommended for anyone who cant get out, it makes the whole process so easy.”

789 Mission St, San Francisco“I like this drug store located inside of Target at the Metreon. Employees are nice and everything is centrally located. Hard to beat for people who live and/or work in the area.”
9AM - 12:30PM 1 - 5PM
45 Castro St, San Francisco“I talk directly to the Pharmacist or Angie. They are really nice and very efficient. They have reached out directly to my MD to avoid lapses in scripts and I like the location.”
“Very responsive and timely fulfillment of my prescription! I required my medication within 7 days of the order, and I ended up getting it shipped to my door within 3 days.”
