“I looked online for mechanics in the area for BMW and the reviews were said it all. I called and a gentleman by the name of Will took my call and was able to fit me in the same day. He called me with options to resolve the issue and was able to pick up my car same day before the close of business. Very satisfied with the outcome, good customer service and happy to have chosen to go to Bay Motor Works.”
“The short version: I can't say enough positive things about Kenny and VAS Motor Works. They are friendly, knowledgable, honest, and efficient. Would highly recommend them.
The long version: My MK7 Golf had a check engine light for an intake air leak, and another nearby shop quoted $8800 to replace the intake manifold, PCV, injectors and do a carbon cleaning, as well as replace the coolant expansion tank. That price seemed ridiculous, so I called Kenny at VAS, who said they'd usually charge less than 1/3 for the same work.
I brought the car to VAS, and they did their own diagnoses, and found the air leak to be just the PCV and the coolant leak was from a cracked hose, not the expansion tank. 24 hours later, my car was back on the road and running great for less than 1/5th the original quote from the other shop.

“Had my car window broken last night. I was recommended this shop by an Auto repair company. I called and they said they could take care of it. I brought my car into their auto glass shop. They fixed the window and cleaned the broken glass but also noted other damages they found, all within the same day. It only took 1 hr of time. “I got a Land Rover Discovery Sport last year - it’s my first time owning a LR and knew I wanted to find somewhere to take it other than the dealership. I found 11th street Auto repair online and they specialize in LR’s which is amazing and frankly is only a few blocks from my house! I had my car serviced last year and it was great. This week (my second visit) I had a brake problem and had my Discovery towed in. Jack was amazingly helpful and communicative and also took the extended warranty I had purchased when getting my car last year. I ended up needing a few things replaced and also got it serviced for a very reasonable and affordable price and it was SO wonderful he dealt directly with my warranty for payment and figuring out what was covered. This place is awesome and feel very lucky to find a helpful mechanic that I trust.”

“Customer service like no other. I brought my 1993 300SL to Randy and the staff at Octane after my SL failed a smog check that was required to renew the registration. It can be a real challenge to find a garage that is comfortable working on the early 90's Benzes, which are an odd mix of analog and very primitive digital systems. I got my car back swiftly and at a very reasonable price, which was less than quoted. Happily cruising the coast in my SL again!”
