4444 Pacific Hwy, San Diego“I know that even though there are so many great reviews that you’re still skeptical. But I’m here to tell you this place is great and we had an amazing stay. The rooms were spacious and clean. I love the big counter/sink to layout all the toiletries + another sink inside the bathroom. The staff were all wonderful and very helpful. Ya the breakfast isn’t great, as some people have mentioned but it’s good enough to get you on your way for the day. I did hear the train one night. Wasn’t a big deal. The location is also outstanding. A 7 min walk to Old Town and even closer to the light rail. We took mostly Ubers (seems like everything is close by in San Diego) but we took the light rail to the USS Midway which was incredibly easy.”
“A person who lives in San Diego recommended this place, so I visited to use it along with the golf course. It was the best hotel I have ever stayed at in the US. When I picked up the phone, they knew what I was talking about and I was impressed. The service that puts the customer's needs first was the best. The staff's response made my vacation perfect and I want to visit here again. I was grateful to the hotel staff who made my time happy.”

4255 Ocean Blvd, San Diego“We were on the 3rd floor facing the beach. The view is spectacular! I highly recommend the sunsets. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They communicated with us frequently and made us feel comfortable. The location is perfect. Plenty of places to eat. All sorts of quaint little shops. There is a supermarket across the street. Plenty of entertainment. If you enjoy a visit to a bar there are places from small and cozy to larger venues. There is also plenty of interesting and entertaining places within a short drive from the motel. We will definitely be there next year for our vacation.”

Bldg 1401-A Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego“It's been a good stay. I like the simplicity of the hotel. It is reserved for military, DoD, and their retirees. I do like it's right next to the beach.”
“This isn't a hotel, it's the single best interior design piece in the western hemisphere. It's a surrealist art bar/diner/restaurant/lounge/pool/bowling alley. The fact that they have nightly rooms is a secondary perk. You must see it if you have the chance, whether you stay overnight or just go for drinks.”

550 J St, San Diego“Lovely hotel with one of the greatest restaurants I’ve experienced while traveling. Great location but gave it 4-stars due to room size. Tight spots and layout made for an awkward setup.”

723 Felspar St, San Diego“Stunning luxury oceanfront boutique hotel in Pacific Beach, next to the historic pier. Each room is designed in a modern style with floor-to-ceiling windows, and beautifully appointed. The staff is exceptionally accommodating and eager to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Be sure to check out the Tower Deck to relax on one of the beautiful lounge chairs. Room service offers the incredible cuisine from their Tower 23's own restaurant, JRDN.”

525 Spruce St, San Diego“Service was exemplary. They offer you a timeshare presentation but will take no for an answer. No request was too small and was immediately fulfilled. The staff was a joy. Our room 507, was large and beautifully decorated. I love the history of the building and highly recommend it. The only small complaint is that the building being old means the sound of your neighbors can bleed through a little bit.Rooms: Large. Great bed. Shower hot, but pressure low.Walkability: Across the Road from Balboa Park and walking distance to many great restaurants. Also for convenience there is a 7-Eleven across the street”

2131 Shelter Island Dr, San Diego“Great location on a Marina. Was able to walk across the street to see the synchronized fireworks displays. Two-story layout was pretty good, and the pool was a bit small but nice. Onsite restaurant was quite good, especially for breakfast. May have been a bit pricey, but it was a holiday weekend.”
“We had an amazing stay at the Dana in mission bay, the service was outstanding the resort is very cozy tans the rooms are clean with very comfy beds would definitely come again and highly recommended for friends and family”

710 Grand Ave, San Diego“Nice Oceanside location. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel, but this fits the clientele and club nightlife of PB. I would keep this in consideration if you are looking for a white Oceanside stay. For the price per night it was a nice ambiance and an enjoyable stay without any interruptions. The WiFi in the building though is very poor, and could benefit from a bandwidth increase.Walkability: Extremely close and convenient beach access”

She was so nice and friendly. Sabrina made the trip 5 times better. If anything Sabrina should get a raise.
Nearby activities: There were so many things close by.”

2051 Shelter Island Dr, San Diego“I stayed here with my family over the 4th of July weekend. It is definitely an older property but the rooms seem to have been renovated in the past 5 or so years, so be prepared for a shortage of electrical plugs. The standard rooms are also rather small but for a shorter stay it may not be a big deal. Moreover, the room was mostly clean, however we did find a used floss pick behind the corner chair and the area behind the dresser was shocking dusty. This hotel’s best quality was its proximity to many area attractions; Ocean Beach, Downtown, and Balboa Park were all less than a 15 minute drive away. The property was also very well connected to local trails and I enjoyed going on runs around the local area while I stayed. Overall a decent stay, and I might return on my next SD trip perhaps in a higher category room with a patio.”

“A fun and affordable spot to stay in Gaslamp District. My room was a bit small but the layout was clever with spots to hang bags etc on the walls. Loved the arcade and a table with football under it. And um, did I just see someone walk out from behind a bookshelf???
Walkability: Close to lots of food and drink spots, very walkable area.
Food and drinks: I appreciated the free drink at checkin!”

555 W Ash St, San Diego“The room is clean, the location is great, the breakfast is simple and small, and I have already expected it because I read the article first (meal bags are brought to the room for microwave heating). Parking for 22USD a night is quite a deal nearby. There is an older person at the counter. The lady is very kind and polite. This hotel is highly recommended.”
“The hotel room is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast changes every day. It is within walking distance to Little Italy, and there is a 711 in the nearest supermarket. All in all a very nice hotel.”

The layout is of a motel but with all the positives without the negatives. It is charming, well run, clean with beautiful spacious rooms and also very good breakfast.”

207 Fifth Ave, San Diego“I’m not the type of person that would leave reviews good or bad. However my family and I recently stayed here on 11/2/24 for one night. We valet and from the moment we arrived to the day we departed, WOW! We were very very impressed with our stay. At check in they had a small line, I was greeted and walked by a staff member to the back where they check in special hotel members. Check in was a breeze and was even offered a complimentary beverage of choice. Made my way to the elevators and up to my room. Upon exiting and walking to my room, we were greeted again by hotel staff members. The hotel member welcomed and asked if we needed anything and was told to let them know if there was anything we need to just let them know. I really appreciated that they were adamant, welcoming and the warm hospitality just in the first 15 minutes I was there. Our room was very nice, we had standard two queen room. Beds/pillows were comfy, the view was of the Petco Park stadium which was really cool. I wasn’t to thrilled of the pocket door to the restroom or the fact there was no exhaust fan switch. Loved the decor in the lobby, of course the pleasant hotel smell you always get at nice hotels. We’ve stayed a many hotels in my life time, and frequently in Vegas, HRH is up there on my list! Will definitely and highly recommended. I will definitely be back in the future, thank you Hard Rock”
“Clean hotel and relatively quiet for the good location. Alan in particular made our stay very pleasant, but the other employees were also very friendly. The only suggestion: The amenity fee should be included in the room price.”
