“We stayed for my son’s Marine graduation and I’m so happy we chose Old Town Inn! Every staff member was incredibly nice and helpful! The rooms are not fancy, but everything was so clean and comfortable. I will recommend this gem to everyone traveling to San Diego!”

“This is our second time to San Diego and we wanted a hotel with a better view. The Inn at Sunset Cliffs is an amazing place! The view was spectacular, the staff are incredibly helpful and nice! They have on site equipment rentals which was extremely convenient. The room was clean and everyone was comfortable. ! Sunsets from this hotel are second to none!! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone going to San Diego!! It was so hard to check out today but we will be back!”

“Service was exemplary. They offer you a timeshare presentation but will take no for an answer. No request was too small and was immediately fulfilled. The staff was a joy. Our room 507, was large and beautifully decorated. I love the history of the building and highly recommend it. The only small complaint is that the building being old means the sound of your neighbors can bleed through a little bit.Rooms: Large. Great bed. Shower hot, but pressure low.Walkability: Across the Road from Balboa Park and walking distance to many great restaurants. Also for convenience there is a 7-Eleven across the street”

“This place is the best! You can’t find a better place on the beach! The views are amazing, the service is great, the amenities are comfortable, and the room was spacious.
I had never been here before and heard great things about it, but it exceeded my expectations! No BS!..
Everything you need is within walking distance including a grocery store. And all the equipment rentals you need near by.
An added near by recommendation that is a must would be to try Nico’s Fish market. It has amazing fresh caught fish meals.”

“I really enjoyed my 2 night stay here. I was in town for a work event. Location is great, walking distance to shops and restaurants in Old Town. Also a quick 10 min drive to Hillcrest, Little Italy or Balboa Park...VERY WELL LOCATED!
The room was very spacious, clean and very simple. AC worked great. The room I stayed in was at the end of the hall on 2nd floor next to the utility room and had windows facing the street. Other rooms have windows facing the hallways where you need to keep window shutters closed for privacy.
The waffle at breakfast was super fluffy and staff in all areas were very courteous, helpful and friendly.
I would stay here again.”

Rooms were cool.. everything was clean and spacious..no complaints there. Location is ideal..at the northeast end of the Quarter. Quiet enough to be away from all the hype and close enough to walk all around downtown.

“The hotel only has valet parking for $65 a day/night. You have in and out privileges all day though. I believe until 9pm and then you have to pay for the next day automatically for valet but double check this. There’s a $35 resort fee each night and $200 deposit required at check-in. There's an option to park around the corner for way less though like $25 a day. It can be hard to get parking at these “ACE” public parking lots especially on the weekend. You can only park your car for a max of 10 hours too. I just remembered to pay for parking via the app though. This hotel is in a prime location where you can walk to the bars and restaurants.
The hotel reminds me of spring break and vacation. It’s cute and in a good area. The $65 a night valet parking was a bit too much IMHO. I would probably not stay here again for that alone but also the walk around the corner is not far at all. There were four free water bottles available by the coffee machine in your room. There was also water available by the elevator before you go up but it was empty by nighttime. So, if you are planning on going out, please bring enough water back to your room before.
There was a mini fridge in the dresser. I really liked that they had this. There's no jacuzzi but the pool is heated.”
“Our stay at Hotel Catamaran in San Diego was incredible! Dante at the front desk made our experience even better than expected. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, setting the tone for our entire visit. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home.
The location couldn’t be more perfect—having the bay right in front of the hotel was a dream! Waking up to such breathtaking views each morning was one of the highlights of our stay. We loved how easy it was to walk to nearby restaurants, the beach, and so many fun activities.
The food at the hotel was delicious, and every meal was truly memorable. The amenities were comfortable, and the housekeeping team did an amazing job keeping our room spotless and cozy. Hotel Catamaran has it all—great location, top-notch service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the best of San Diego.”

“Thanks to Emilio at Front Desk for his kindness & great service in setting us up for our great stay @ The Pearl!
We expected basic lodging, prior to an early flight home to Seattle. We were pleasantly surprised by the very cool restaurant & bar that are wide open into the pool area, which was illuminated w/soft mood lighting, plus candles at each poolside dining table! Fun retro menu & vintage TV Shows on big screen too!
Our small room (overlooking the restaurant & pool) was very well thought out to provide everything we needed... and nothing we didn't.
This is a definite return location when traveling this way again!”

“I stayed here with my family over the 4th of July weekend. It is definitely an older property but the rooms seem to have been renovated in the past 5 or so years, so be prepared for a shortage of electrical plugs. The standard rooms are also rather small but for a shorter stay it may not be a big deal. Moreover, the room was mostly clean, however we did find a used floss pick behind the corner chair and the area behind the dresser was shocking dusty. This hotel’s best quality was its proximity to many area attractions; Ocean Beach, Downtown, and Balboa Park were all less than a 15 minute drive away. The property was also very well connected to local trails and I enjoyed going on runs around the local area while I stayed. Overall a decent stay, and I might return on my next SD trip perhaps in a higher category room with a patio.”
