“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint boutique hotel. What makes it special is the extraordinarily hospitable staff! Linda at the front desk was a shining example of this! She was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and so helpful with directions and excellent dining recommendations. She’s a real gem! The cleaners were also very friendly, big smiles and happily provided us with fresh towels.Rooms are small but extremely clean, smelled nice & fresh when we walked in! Two double beds sufficed for my teenage son and I. (Would have been tight to fit 4 adults though)We parked in back behind the hotel and walked everywhere! So very kind of the management to let us park there for a few hours even after we’d checked out.All in all, a wonderful experience! We’d definitely stay again.We never used their pool, bikes or bistro, but all nice conveniences to have!Walkability: We walked everywhere! Hotel is well located right on Orange Ave, an easy walk to restaurants and the Ferry Terminal.Food & drinks: Free Hot coffee, cold & hot water dispenser, hot chocolate, tea available in the front lobby. My son loved the hot chocolate and afternoon cookies. Nice treat!”

“Our first visit to the Beach Village. I saw the wide range of reviews and was slightly apprehensive, but booked anyway for our family gathering of 20. I am so glad we did. The service we experienced was exceptional from pre-planning, to arrival, during stay and check-out. Literally, every single person we encountered was pleasant and committed to providing great service. Each of our 4 suites had great views, the amenities were excellent, and the feeling of being in a small boutique hotel within a big hotel was the best of both worlds. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and apparently due for a complete interior upgrade this year--can't wait to see the results. Needless to say we are planning to return next year as well. Special shout out to Sasha for the extra effort, and manager Sandra for reaching out to arrange early arrival details. Thanks again for an amazing trip!”

“Nice to have a room in Coronado. Disappointed that they have a hot plate that you have to use on a small counter along with 2 coffee pots. Also had a curtain separating the bedroom from the kitchen. If you don't plan on doing any cooking in this room will be just fine. But it's in Coronado, a great place to walk around and spend time on the beach and across the street from the famous Hotel Del Coronado.”

“This was an amazing stay. I was meeting my extended family for the first time in Coronado. They suggested this location. I booked an amazing room with all the amenities. Although I didn't spend much time in my room, when I did, it was wonderful. I slept like a log, walked everywhere, and all the shops and restaurants are very close by. The whole experience was safe, clean and quiet. I definitely recharged my inner batteries. Thank you so much for being ideal hosts.”

“We booked a standard room as a last minute get-away. I didn't realize that most of the rooms are motel-style with doors opening to parking lots and walkways. We probably wouldn't have booked knowing this. Our room was directly across from the back entrance to the lobby and it could get pretty loud. The walls are also very thin so there was a lot of noise both above us and next to us. Our room was also very small- smaller than the picture. I'd booked that room because it had an extra chair next to the bed so my husband could work on the computer and be comfortable but our room was so small that the chair wasn't there as it wouldn't fit.That being said, the room was clean, the carpet looked like it had been replaced recently. They also had large, fluffy bath towels and all the basic amenities we needed. The staff was really friendly. The location was ideal - right on Orange Street (main part of the village) and surrounded by shops and restaurants.”

“We rented 2 rooms between the 5 of us; both were 1st floor rooms that included 2 queen-sized beds, a kitchenette, and a patio with access to the beach, pool, and outdoor walkways. The complimentary breakfast was good; no eggs or sausage, but croissants, bagels, etc, and seating arrangements that left it open for conversation with other guests. The pool was heated, and the workout room had light cardio machines. The beach was right there, as were the kids' playground and cabanas for cookouts on a first-come, first-serve basis. The moods of other guests felt pleasant, and the staff were top-notch. It can be difficult to get a room here, I believe we just got lucky, as it's one of the best military hotels in San Diego. It's worth the struggle.”

“The price is the only downside of this hotel. The views, rooms, and service are amazing. Having full access to the Del Coronado is also great, but you won't even want to leave your room at the beach cottages. ?Rooms: The rooms are clean and very well designed and decorated. Very high end amenities like Nespresso coffee maker.”

“Great layout, the rooms have plenty of space, and it's in an excellent location. The free continental breakfast is actually pretty good too. It's everything you need. We'll definitely be back.”

“I didn’t stay, so I can’t comment on that but the outside architecture and stained glass windows were beautiful ? I’ve lived in SD for 2 years and finally checked out the ambiance Del brings…so glad my out of town friends wanted me to take them to see this classic beauty!”

“Little family get away! Cute little place, its close to great dinner places and to the beautiful water and shops!! Our room was clean, cozy, and fresh! Our room had a wonderful ceiling fan that made such a difference because it's been so hot. AC works great! When you check in you are welcomed with a friendly face and fresh coffee available from 7am -10am.Parking right by our room. Free bicycle rentals woohoo!!! Great little place.Will say the convenience of being close to everything is wonderful, but it does get a little noisy in the early morning with everyone going to work possibly because our room was towards the front of the Inn. Has a cute pool too!!Overall great little place! Will be added to my favorites in Coronado”

“Only spent a weekend there and it was perfectly fine for what we needed. Spent most of our time out and about so only came in to sleep and shower. We had the corner spot and it isn’t as loud as it’s made out to be.Easily walk to the beach front and other spots on the island but might be easier if you just have a bike or scooter and leave your car on the street. Plenty of parking as it is.Rooms: Spacious, clean and cool.Walkability: Close to the beach front easy 15 minute walk.Food & drinks: Plenty of restaurants down the street.”

“We keep coming back. Rooms are very clean, pool area is nice to relax in, staff are friendly and very helpful.Walkability: Located across from the Del and right in the main shopping and dining area in Coronado. Beach is close by too!”
