“I took my iPhone to this store (HMB Cellular on El Cajon Blvd) two days ago. It was damaged when I slammed my car hatch door while the phone was sitting right on the latch. It certainly damaged the screen severely but also a dent on the back of the phone. I was certain the mother board inside was probably damaged. The young man at the front counter, whose name I don’t recall, was extremely kind and helpful. He kept Re-assuring me that although it looked bad, it was still possible for the inside to be intact. He proceeded to open the phone and checked all inside parts in detail which took him a good hour, and told me the phone was still completely intact and that only the screen would be needed to be replaced. He replaced the screen. My phone works as well as it did prior to the damage. Thank you HMB Cellular)! I can now see why you have 382 reviews and all with 5 stars! I will certainly be referring friends and family!”

“What an incredible store with great, knowledgeable staff. I started buying vinyl records again after a long time and discovered that they have 2 enormous room filled with used and new vinyl records. They also have record cleaning machines in the back. I love spending time here. They also will demo anything you’re interested in hearing. “My car was an old 1980 Buick Century Limited with an alternator that went out. Grant rebuilt it for me and did a phenomenal job QUICKLY for GREAT price!! He's also a Denver Broncos fan and that touched the human side of car repair for me a lot!! Besides from football, this man is caring and a wonderful customer service rep for his company and does his job tremendously well. The trust factor is off the charts! I recommend this company to anyone price and service oriented from caring people. We need more people in the world like Grant!! Keep up the good work Grant and go Broncos.. “I went in with my 87 yr old dad and his 2g phone. Orendo gave us fantastic customer service. He was knowledgeable enough to convince us we needed to replace it and left us confident we were getting the right replacement. He was patient with my dad who wanted to know everything Orendo was doing. My dad is no longer tech friendly and Elvis is too modern for him. The fact that he left the store with new technology and a smile on his face is almost a miracle. Orendo was a breath of fresh air in what we both thought would be a tedious chore.”

Should have each 711 with their own unique in house food service this one was a taco shop down the street should be a pizza ria and the opposite direction should have a deli, north should have Greek chicken...could really change the potential revenue aspects of the convenient fast food...”

“~ Myself and my Sister went to this location today. We went to go inside this location but the door was locked. We were walking to the parking lot to leave and we heard a female mentioned to us she was opening this location. She goes on to say this location was closed and locked due to her being in a meeting on El Cajon , CA. The employee who was scheduled to be there did not show up for work. While she was unlocking the door , preparing to open the store she was calm , courteous and professional. I explained I’m with my Sister to assist her in getting a phone. She throughly answered all all of our questions about plans and pricing. She did not rush us at all. She did a test call to make sure the phone was working and kindly changed the ringtone to my Sister liking. There was One guest waiting after us. Marbella delivered exceptional customer service today! Should I become aware that someone needs a phone I will send them to this location and have them to ask for Marbella! Thank you again for assisting us today!”

The reason I mention this is last year my wife and I were considering switching cell phone providers, and in hearing good things about T-Mobile, we decided to pop into your Balboa store.
This is where we met Ally Fedorka, who we found to be exceptional in every way. She was an incredible listener, she explained all our options, and she helped us understand the value of her offerings in the most professional way. Accordingly, we not only decided to follow her recommendation and become a customer of yours, but when we left the store, we spent the next 30 minutes talking about how impressed we were with Ally’s professionalism.
Now here we are over a year later, and I contacted your store once again, in hopes Ally was still with you. Due to the loss of my wife, I’ll be traveling out of the county, so I needed to ensure my phone settings were all properly set. The good news for me was Ally was still with your company, and I was again impressed by her in every way. Not only was she incredibly helpful, but she was empathetic as to the loss of my wife, and her professionalism shined through once again.
Lastly, as a past business owner I know the importance of hiring the superstars, and you certainly have one in her. As we all know, any cellular company can put a phone in the hands of a customer, but it takes the truly incredible people to ensure those customers remain customers for years to come. I can assure you, as long as you employ Ally, and people like her, I will not only be a customer of yours, but I’ll be a songbird for your company as well.

“When my girlfriend and I made the switch to T-mobile, we were excited because we were informed that we could trade in our phones and T-mobile would pay off our old device with Verizon. After we received our new phones, we contacted T-mobile and they told us my girlfriend's phone didn't quality for the promotion. We felt duped. After several hours on the phone and being met with extreme reluctance to honor the promotion, my girlfriend went to trade the phones in anyway. Theo from the T-Mobile store in Pacific Beach helped us sort out the confusion regarding the promotions, and also discovered that my girlfriend's phone qualified for the keep and switch promotion. Theo spent considerable time and care resolving this matter for us, and was able to get the rebate department to honor the promotion. Not only were we able get new phones, but we were able to keep the old ones as well and have the remaining bill with Verizon handled. Thank you for your diligence, Theo!”

The new ULTA cosmetics section takes up valuable real estate that was better served for clothes and accessories. You go to Target for Maybelline mascara, clothing and accessory dupes, not for Urban Decay.The store is mostly neat and organized if you go 1st thing when it opens.”
