“We have stayed here twice now and absolutely loved our experience both times. This most recent visit, we were staying for a mini-moon right after our wedding. Everything about this place is wonderful. It was just as affordable as the Hampton Inn we stayed at right before, but ten times nicer. They even called us to let us know that their rates dropped from when we initially booked, so we saved money without having to do any of the leg work. You simply cannot be the location of this resort. You can walk to the downtown or the beach. It's also a very quiet resort - you immediately feel relaxed here. We have also always been super pleased with the welcoming staff. This is a repeat booking for us whenever we come to San Clemente.”

“My son found us Nomads for a quick family trip to one of our favorite beach communities, San Clemente. I'm honestly not accustomed to staying at non-national branded hotels, so I was initially hesitant. The process was unique and the communication was very thorough, and when we arrived we were greeted by the owner himself!!! That was a first!!The rooms are charming and spacious. My two older boys shared a room. And my youngest son and his buddy stayed with me and my wife. There were three beds in the Bali room.We were able to walk easily everywhere in town. The hotel is connected to one of the better bars/restaurants in town, so that was super convenient.Thank you for the hospitality!! We will be back.”

“So my husband and I absolutely love staying here and have stayed many times and will continue to come back. They are a bit pricey though.... the location is what we love. We've stayed in different rooms and trust me we really love our stay. This time we stayed in room #6 by far our favorite. So spacious but come on guys, y'all need to upgrade that bathroom in there. NO WATER PRESSURE and the plaster is chipping off the bathtub. Add some solid shelves in there to be able to have a little storage for our tooth brushes and such. Maybe add an actual medicine cabinet for storage. The room is spacious and should have some drawers for storage as well. **Please add a full length mirror**There is so much room. Overall we love this place so much. Ashley is so nice. We look forward to coming back soon and staying in this room. But please add do something about the horrible water pressure. Happy New Year!”

“What a wonderful throwback. The love these units, this place, has been given shows in every corner. It is simply devine.A leisurely stroll, and you are in the midst of the action at the pier.Watching the surfers do their thing while moving the loungers every so often to follow the sun. Oh, and the sunset. What a sight, what a gorgeous location! And those pillows, forget about it!Well done Beachcomer, well done.”

“We’ve done some traveling through our timeshare and the stay at the Four Seasons Pacifica was done through trading at II. We stayed in 3 bed, 2 car garage unit(Las Brisas). The view, quality kitchen equipments, and spacious unit made our vacation a dream. It was definitely one of the best experience we had! Looking forward to go back, when it is available through II again.Just want to mention that it is not a hotel, but a small 5 unit condo type accommodation.”

“While spending Christmas down in Orange County to visit family, my husband, and I needed a place to stay with our two dogs. It's quite hard to find a decent hotel that will allow dogs without being a rundown mess. Fortunately, we found Surfbreak hotel. It was located a close distance from the family we were visiting and the price did not break the bank. The room itself was clean and modern. The linens were clean and so was the floor. We did not run into any issues with noise or partying. The bed was large and comfortable, and there was ample space for our dogs to sprawl out on the floor. The only qualm is the parking situation can be a little tight but other than that, it was exactly what we were looking for and exactly what we needed in a place to stay. I appreciate hotels like this that allow us to bring our dogs and would gladly return.”

“Thank you soooo much for the beautiful beach facing room in this boutique hotel in San Clemente. Jose, the General Manager, assured us with the best accommodations. Tray, the front desk gave terrific restaurant recommendations, and we were steps away from the fun on the main street digs! Thank you, thank you! Highly recommend this hotel in San Clemente!!!!”

“Great place to stay in the heart of San Clemente on a budget. My sister and I spent three nights in this charming, friendly, and clean little boutique motel. The ambience is very laidback and the staff is so helpful and kind. We walked to everything and took the free San Clemente trolley to the outlets and the pier. Right next door is the Bagel Shack with excellent coffee! Ralph's is a block away. The only "not great" was the water pressure in the shower. We had an absolutely delightful stay and hope to be back.”

“Really nice cottage in a great location! Friendly and uncomplicated contact. Great amenities, clean, good value for money (given that California is very expensive and other locations that were not nearly as nice had about the same asking price).Rooms: Two levels, lower level had kitchenette and dining table, upper level had living room, bedroom and bathroom with bathtub.”

“First time stopping by here. Joyce at the front office made sure that everything was easy and comfortable. The room itself was nice with a big screen TV ( I stayed in the deluxe room). Room was clean, bathroom clean, mini fridge for my beers, and plenty of drawers if you’ve got luggage. Overall, it was a great experience.”

“Really nice staff and nice clean rooms. It's in a good location by the beach and close to all the restaurants and downtown area. I've been coming here a long time. It's nice and affordable.Rooms: The rooms are big. Small fridge and microwave. There's even a hairdryer and an iron and ironing board. Nice and clean.Nearby activities: This is in a good location. Away from traffic but still close to all downtown has to offer.Safety: This is a nice, safe area. As is all of San Clemente.Walkability: It only take 15 minutes to walk downtown. The North Beach trail is close by to walk to the Pier. Everything is accessible.”

“Had a great time at Holiday Inn Express in San Clemente. The room was clean and quiet, which I loved. Breakfast was good. It's only a 5-minute drive to San Clemente beach, which was awesome. Everything was nice, and I'd definitely stay there again!”

“The hotel is in the process of being renovated. We had 2 double beds in our room which were very comfy and linen was very good. Rooms are dated. Everything worked though. No problems. Shower was fantastic. Staff were great. Lovely pool and really hot hot tub. Short walk down to beach. About a mile into main shops.”

“Overall pretty great. Amazing location The room window was right against a common area which was a little annoying when people were sitting right against your only window. The wifi was abysmal in our room. They really need some sort of mesh wifi set up throughout the area with those thick walls. We honestly could not use the wifi most of the time.”

“This establishment came highly recommended by my cousin due to its proximity to her wedding venue (walking distance- even w heels). While we explored other hotels in the vicinity, if your visit is centered around attending a wedding at the nearby golf course, I would strongly recommend the Hampton Inn and Suites. Despite encountering an issue with early check-in being unavailable due to prior check-ins, which was slightly inconvenient, the service provided by Ruby was exceptional. We required an accessible room and noticed the absence of certain amenities like face towels, bar soap, and a bathmat. Once brought to Ruby's attention, she promptly rectified the situation. It is worth noting that a nightly self-parking fee of $18.75 is charged without security provisions, which may catch guests off guard. Although complimentary breakfast is provided, it is offset by the parking charge. The gym and pool facilities, while compact, suffice for guests' needs.”

“If you're accustomed to being treated badly and don't mind paying for worse than expected conditions, then this property is for you. I was appalled by what I seen & how I was treated, I ran outta there like a bat out of hell. Literally. The worst customer service by desk personnel. It took much longer than usual to register - because the clerk left me alone standing at the desk during my check-in procedure, twice, stepping away after answering his cell phone. I visited the lobby restroom - Urine soaked stench! (in hindsight this was the absolute sign, what I was in for). Being tired from a 7hr drive, I expected to rest in peace. I walked in my room for what seemed to be mere seconds, and started to feel anxiety and claustrophobia. Bugs and stains throughout the hotel room. Room furniture in poor condition. Dank air in hallway. Grimy fingerprints in elevator. Not "near" the beach...its exactly next to the freeway. False advertising with the photos. Anyone giving this place a compliment must be accepting of the above. This place was G R O S S. Immediately went back down to the lobby, asked for another room. The clerk's reaction was hesitated, followed by a debate. I called & emailed the manager (was told it was a person named Philip B.) for a refund since I did not use the room. I was told "No, thanks for understanding" - because the clerk "was going to give you another room, but you left". I didn't take photos because it happened so fast, Again, appalled by what I seen & how I was treated. This hotel is fraudulent. It would be impossible not to clearly understand these things are going on with a facility which you work at every day. Staff and Management thrive on being indifferent. Miserable!Rooms: Run down room. Mine had and assortment of bugs (dead & alive). Lobby is outdated. Lobby restroom had a horribly strong stench of urine.”

“We checked in July 4th. The room wasn’t cleaned well. Check out below the bed or behind, there’s dust and spiderwebs. There’s also hair in the bathroom sink and shower. It’s very basic, no towels, no soap in the sink in the kitchen. It wasn’t stock at all. No pots and pans. Internet/cable wasn’t working. The guy was helpful, straightforward and stoic. Regretfully the office is closed so we can’t solve the problem.Rooms: Basic room setting. Need to have deep clean.”
