“Everything was beautiful. They are very pet friendly. Meaning you can take the dogs to the pool and they’ll bring them out a bed. They’re not allowed on the pool chairs but totally understandable for health reasons. My pet peeve is spending a lot of money for a dog friendly hotel that’s not really dog friendly. So I appreciate the Montage. Vince I’m assuming who was the manager was outstanding in making my party and I feel the love from the resort. Kate was also so welcoming. Really the whole staff. The spa attendants were so nice. I do like that they have a spa pool that’s separate from the family pool. Plus the spa pool is adults only. So you don’t have to worry about bringing a mommy swimsuit if you don’t want to ?. The rooms had a nice clean and fresh feeling to them. I will definitely be back. Thanks Vince ❤️”

“Rooms: Beautiful clean rooms, light and airy, appreciated all the small details.Nearby activities: Visited the Rivian South Coast Theater, right on the beach. What a space!Walkability: Promenade runs straight in front of the hotel and down to the beach and centre.Noteworthy details: Parking is easy, just turn right off the main road into the hotel parking.Don't miss wine hour from 5-6pm, by the pool firepit!”

“Looks like they did some renovations because the rooms looked great especially the showers! We absolutely loved our stay! From the outside it does look slightly on the older side but the rooms were a pleasant surprise! Even better this hotel is right across the gorgeous crescent bay beach just minutes away! This is the absolute perfect family and budget friendly stay in Laguna beach!! I would highly recommend this to any family on a Budget that really wants to enjoy exploring the beaches and not too picky about the hotel stay!”

“My boyfriend and I came here for New Year's Eve 2023 and it was so great. It was my boyfriend's first time in California and it was the perfect way to kick off the New Year. We were originally supposed to stay at Surf & Sand, but my mom recommended this place, as she had recently attended a wedding here (and it was half the price)! It was so so so so worth it. When we arrived, they were serving complimentary house wine and you could order cocktails for purchase. Then, at 6pm, they had milk and cookies in the lobby. So cute! The concierge let us know that we had been upgraded for free to an ocean view room that was so so perfect for my boyfriend's first time here. It was so beautiful and such a great stay. It is right on main beach and close to a ton of cute places around Laguna! (Definitely try Anastasia's for brunch if you visit!) Overall, it was just a perfect place for our one night stay!”

“While the hotel room is a true 2-star establishment with worn out furnishings and dated decor, the service is very good. I left 2 gold rings in the bathroom and left to catch the early morning ferry to Catalina island after checkout. I called the front desk frantically trying to locate the rings and hope that no one had take them. At first, the front desk staff, Sienna, was unable to find them. However, after a second search, she was able to find the gold rings inside the room. I’m very thankful for her diligence and integrity. If the rings were misplaced at a public place, I’m sure they would be gone forever. Thank you Seaside Laguna staff.BTW the location is a block away from a “secret beach”…the beach is hidden during high tides and is only visible for a few hours midday during low tides. The hotel is pet friendly, thus,, some barking at nighttime”

“We had a perfect last minute getaway here. The staff was super friendly and helpful with minor things that came up, as well as recommendations for around town. Sunset is absolutely stunning from just about anywhere on the property! We also really enjoyed spending our evening in the enclosed heated pool and Jacuzzi; floating around watching the hanging plants sway above you with palms swaying along in the background was a definite vibe. I loved how plush and green everything is here.The property itself is quite unique, the angled balcony rails had my hubby singing the LoveBoat theme song every time we walked back up from the beach. I think it's adorable. They are currently undergoing a renovation but the room we were in has clearly not yet been redone. The minor maintenance issues we had I'm sure will be addressed as they update each room, but it was clean and comfortable which is all I really need. Bed was comfortable, water pressure was good and we did not experience any construction noise the night/morning we were there.Almost everything you need is within walking distance: coffee shop and grocery is one block, yummy Mexican food is 2 blocks, multiple bars and restaurants within 4 blocks. The Laguna Beach trolley runs all along highway 1 from downtown all the way to Salt Creek with a stop directly in front of the property, so you have easy access to any beach or cove you'd like to explore. Take advantage of the parking you're already paying for here.We are looking forward to our next stay here and would recommend it to friends.Walkability: Hop on the trolley to get around town anywhere further than you'd like to walk. Everything you need for a quiet stay is within a couple blocks.”

“As usual, we had a wonderful lunch. The food and service were outstanding. The only thing that would have improved our visit would have been being offered extra pillows (for behind our backs) while sitting on ‘the couch.' I was told that the restaurant didn't have any, so adding those would be a huge plus for parties being seated there.”

“Location and rooms cant be matched in all of Laguna Beach, but gave it 4 stars for one person at the front desk. But a big shout our to the property manager for following up with me and making everything right, truly showing his level of professionalism. I will definitely stay again on my next trip to So Ca.”
