“My kitty Kush had a bad tooth. They have extracted it with care with no I'll effects and today he's the same fat happy love bug he always was. The staff is wonderful and compassionate. I wouldn't hesitate to take Kush there again if he had a problem.”

“I’ve never been met with such empathy from workers as the workers here at Foothill Farms. Came here for end of life services for my cat and received a very sweet hand written sympathy card in the mail. They also got us in on a timely manner as my cats health had changed rapidly and nowhere else would take us in as quick as here did. I highly recommend this vet overall. They’ve been around for a long time and actually care!”

“I have been taking my pup here for years. Tried a closer VCA vet once and they were pretty terrible and costly. Southgate feels like a local vet that genuinely cares about their clients and their pets. And fair pricing. Love them.”

“We have five animals at home (4 cats and a dog), so naturally, we have to bring them into the vet quite often. Ever since moving to the Sacramento area, I have brought my animals here. The vets here are always very nice and are able to let you fully voice any concerns you may have and are very good at explaining what it is that they believe is the best course of treatment for your animals. They are also extremely quick. I have never had to be here for more than 40 minutes at max. Other vet places I have been to I am lucky to get out in an hour. You can tell that the vets and technicians truly do care about the animals, and you are always greeted by friendly faces upon entering the building.”

“The staff is wonderful. Very efficient procedure to drop off and pick up your pet after surgery. Love the reminders about your appt and clear post op info and report of what care and treatment was performed during surgery. Recommend them 100%”

4.5 Superb17 Reviews

“This place is here to take care of the animals without trying to get rich off of our love for our pets. The Dr is kind, efficient, and knows what he's doing. He's not trying to get more and more money from you just to line his pockets like so many other vets in Natomas. They truly care for the animals. Great service, wonderful employees, and we will never go to another vet again.”

“We took our 6 month old German Shepherd Harley in to see Dr. Chen because Harley was having a lot of diarrhea (sorry TMI) but the doctor and the vet tech (I forgot her name) gave us great information and we’re super helpful, AND Harley loved everyone. The ladies at the front desk were also very nice and professional. A wonderful experience overall.”

“They are so nice and they explain everything in detail to you. I was able to get an appt in as soon as possible on Christmas eve. My poor dog had a very bad ear infection due to chronic allergies as explained by the vet. The front receptionist and the vet are so nice. Would highly recommend this place.”

“All the Vet clinics in the area have been wonderful ! I am trying to write reviews for those who gave incredible service. If you have rescue kittens, this is one of the clinics I’d recommend. They are very affordable and good about working you in, especially for rescue and fosters. Very happy with their level of care.”

“I love some of the people there. Shelters can be very hard and devastating. There is some suspicion of putting down animals un lawfully in many SPCAs but who knows. I know my volunteering experience has been wonderful and I know there's people in there that care. I loved working with critters and cleaning. The critter side of things were really thought out. Sometimes there was a volunteer not on bored with certain things and forget stuff. But overall maintaining the place was great.”

“I cannot say enough good things about this place. I felt so safe putting my cat in their hands, I could tell they cared very deeply for all of the pets that they treat. I have never had an experience with a vet like this, where it is so clear that they truly have the animals best interests at heart and will do all they can to help. They could not have been more thorough, and at the end of the appointment I was expecting to pay a huge bill. (Which I would have done gladly for the service) instead, I found that they were even more reasonably priced than other vets I had visited, all while being more personable, kind, and thorough. It was clear to me that the people here are not just trying make a profit, they truly love cats and love helping them.”

“We had to take our Nini in because he was I'll. We tried antibiotics and prednisone but he was still not eating and incredibly weak. He was 11 first time being ill. He was silently suffering so I made the decision to let him cross over. The staff and Dr. Moon were so caring. The doctor genuinely cared for our dog. He knew it was time too. All of the animals in this family will go to them. The office was clean and quiet. Thank you for asking a difficult day less painful.”

“Highly recommend them if you have rescue kittens or fosters. They are very affordable and great about working you in. They work with rescue and foster pet parents and are very accommodating. They also offer payment options for rescue parents bringing in foster care or dogs for a non profit. They love what they do. Definitely recommend”

“We will never be short of gratitude for the folks at Midtown Animal Hospital. We've taken our dogs here since we moved to the area in 2017 and always felt taken care of and confident our dogs were being given exceptional care. This proved true when in early 2020, one of our dogs developed what we found out was heart disease. Well, over three years later he is still here and doing better than ever thanks to the amazing, thoughtful, and evidence-based care he has been given. At nearly 16 years of age, both our dogs are playful, happy, comfortable, and healthy. We're grateful to have them well into their golden years – Thank you Midtown Animal Hospital!”

“For your pets and even for yourself, any significant health concern merits at least a consultation with a specialist if the condition is not improving. The whole staff clearly loves animals too. My Draco dreads going to the vet but he certainly enjoyed the snacks at the front desk!”

“It's wonderful to be in a lobby and reception area strictly reserved for cats. The vets and techs are very good with my Calico that doesn't like to be held.”

“Vista did what others could not. My primary care told us prepare for our loves passing. 16 year old, bully breed, beautiful, happy girl. Doctor did his best and things got complicated. A week later we expected to have to say goodbye to our little monster (Alexandra Amanda). Doctor Sarah Cocherell gave us the honest, fair possibilities. Then during her operation Sarah found a way to save our girl... and did. She is now home with us happily recovering. And we are so thankful for professional and caring work Doctor Sarah did. The staff at Vista are empathetic and true pet lovers. And they will do everything they can to help your pets needs. "Dogs are not our whole lives, but we are theirs."”

“They were very nice. Explained things well. Very reasonably priced. In a time where vets are scheduling appointments out over a month or longer wait, they have been able to get us in within a day or 2. Highly recommend.”

“They took such good care of my fur baby. His vet was closed...I called and told them that he hurt his leg...they said bring him on in....this was after I was turned away by 4 other places.”

“I took my dog in for a severe cough that wouldn't stop. Dr. Mary was awesome. She has a very calming and warm energy that my dog and I both appreciated. He is 12 and has never let a Vet touch him without being absolutely terrified but he was cooperative with Dr. Mary. I wish she could be our permanent Vet! The lobby was clean and most of the staff were very nice. I appreciated the fact that they take the dogs back right away so there isn't a lobby full of sick or hurt dogs. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I called a couple days later with a question about one of the medications and the person who answered said she would check with the Dr. and call me back and no one ever called. Overall, I highly recommend this place and would definitely return.”
