“such a great local market and i can walk there from my house! the great thing about the local market is that they carry many local brands, which helps our small local businesses. i especially love the selection of baked goods, pies, breads, scones, all from local bakers. they do carry most of the recognized name brand produce, dairy, cereals, etc...so even if you don't want to buy local, you can still buy the nationally branded items. this market is family-owned, and you can feel that small town, local mom and pop when you're shopping and checking out. you feel welcome, unlike the larger chain supermarkets. although i walk here, there is definitely lots of parking on site and on the street.”

“As someone who lives in the neighboring trailer park, this place is exactly what we needed!! There's no other store close to the parks, or at least within waking distance. They have a huge selection of everyday household items and food. We are a family of 4 and it has been incredibly convenient to run down the street rather than all the way down Woodside road. The prices are a little higher than other places but I'll pay it so I don't have to drive further. The customer service is fantastic too!!”

“Always an interesting selection and the prices are great.

Updating my review as per Google's algorithm request. Stop by just to see if there's anything interesting today. Walked out with five 90% cacao chocolate bars at about 25 each. The same ones that sell for or $4 at Lucky and Safeway. I really need to come here more often to see what I need instead of going to the major chains”

“A quality grocery store.I am concerned though that the building is showing its age. I hope whoever is managing/owns the building isn't just waiting around for the property to be redeveloped into something else. With the CVS being built next door, I sincerely hope we get a next generation Smart & Final coming along for the ride.”

“I was looking for lilikoi puree...the young man there was very helpful in assisting me to find the right product. I really like this store as they carry a wide variety of products and all very well priced... Another plus was that there's a donation site in the parking lot and i was able to take care of my donations at the same time. Their fresh food department is great too! Yummy food at good prices. I love this market!”

“Excellent Customer service & even better Super Burrito ? honest price ?. I usually go to Chavez on Arguello for my Barbacoa S. Burrito but lately it's been hit or miss & still around $18 after taxes. I've had a Torta @ Mi Rancho next to Target I went for it Super Barbacoa Burrito ? flavors were great, portions as well the burrito master even diced up a roasted Jalapeno free of charge all for $14.27. What a great experience bye, bye Chavez maybe if I'm on Arguello & hungry otherwise Adios also the cashier gave me a $1 over 73 cents that was cool, no one wants change anymore. People complaining the employees don't speaka English well u have Goggle Translate on your ? knuckle head. Give a try they have Tortas & a whole mess of other food's that look delicious ???️.”

“It is a nice place, the owner is very humble, and the men in the kitchen make very delicious traditional Mexican food. It has a nice part behind to eat, designed in a curious and cozy way...The cashiers are very nice too. Although the food sometimes the ladies in the kitchen are not very detailed to the service. I think they can improve that.”

They also have a nice little taqueria inside that serves good authentic Mexican dishes. The market itself has just about everything you could want in a mexican market. “I'm switching from Safeway to Nob Hill! Prices are cheapest around per unit, so you get the best value here. I saved over $100 on my grocery bill compared to Safeway. It's also got a nice layout and clean bathrooms. Never understaffed, and the cashier unloads your cart for you and the baggers pack everything nicely. They have a rewards program as well. And as if that weren't enough, they apparently also have Beer on Tap?? Best grocery store ever!”

“Well-stocked supermarket, great butcher, friendly staff and a delicious taqueria! The lengua was probably the best I've ever eaten. The next day I had the fish tacos and was very happy. Everything is fresh, the service is swift, and there is an enthusiastic client base. How fortunate it feels to shop, and reward yourself for the errands with such yumminess. One small detail about the supermarket, they also have a good selection of piñatas, and the jamaican hibiscus, was the most fragrant I've ever had. Very fresh, crispy and sweet jicama in the produce section. And if you like sour candy...”

“I always come here to get special craft drinks and snacks. The cashier is always nice and treats us like we are friends. They have convenient parking The only recommendation I have for them is to post their entire fridge menu on DoorDash, if possible, and publicize their menu more frequently.”

“My original 1 star rating below to show what an ungrateful, entitled, hypocritical, know it b I can be. The staff was friendly despite being understaffed. i should be dead or in jail for the stuff I have done to harm myself, my family and society and yet I waltz into Safeway like I'm some baller superstar? God, I'm a delusional p**** sometimes. Much love wood side Safeway!!!! First draft Horrible! No self checkout. Never any checkers. U end up leaving your stuff and walking out. Ate their whole roasted chicken once and it was like eating vomit. I literally threw up. Staff could not care less.”

“A bit on the smaller size, this Safeway still has everything that you would except from a local grocery store. The produce, dairy, and meat departments had what I wanted, and the dry foods and wine sections were better than expected from the smaller size. Staff was friendly and helpful.”
