“This place is the best I’ve ever been to. I came in from out of town and needed to find a specific product and the gentleman that owns or runs the place was fantastic! He didn’t have the one I wanted so he called his partner and within 30 mins it was there! Thank you”

“We live out in this boonies area and are largely happy to have not just one but two gas stations to choose from! Alices is our favorite. When other gas stations (especially down the hill) hiked up their prices during the recent heat wave, Alices kept their prices steady and sane. They are regularly among the most reasonably priced spots in the area, such that I sometimes take my chances driving up the mountain with the gas light on rather than fill up in the valley. This parking lot is bananas during the weekend, so your experience might be shaped by whether you're up here as a "weekend tourist" or around for the most relaxed M-F local scene.”

“Let start off with the basics sandwich services, they are basic. The drink selection though is massive and they have some great mirco brews available that aren't at other retailers. They have other small market selections, chips and candies, etc . I would not call the place super nice but it is a decently stocked liquor store and deli. Staff was a nice once she warmed up and then she was great but it took a bit.”

“Looking for inexpensive gas in the Bay Area is tough to do. Unless you are fortunate enough to use it GasBuddy which is an app that offers discounts on gas & other stuff by signing up & paying with their card. GasBuddy listed this station & didn't disappoint. Gasoline was the cheapest in town & when topping off a rental car, that's what you're looking for. Station was busy, organized, clean & filled up quickly even though I had to wait for the car in front of me. 2 thumbs up!”

“I had an interesting experience here today.First, some key observations:-NO PUBLIC RESTROOM-No carwash-small food shop with lots of stuff-very nice clerk-high gas pricesIt's mid-afternoon, and I'm driving down Woodside Rd with 1/4 tank of gas. Hmm, I better get gas before getting on Hwy 101-South to San Jose. I spot this Shell Station w/ a Food Shop, and decide to fill up. I carry the Shell gas card (with Premium status), and it gives me 5-cents off per gallon. While it's pumping away, I go into the food shop to checkout the snacks and drinks. OMG! No public restroom and that food shop is tight for space inside. But it's loaded with everything you could want. The usual stuff like: Snacks, drinks, sandwiches, candy, ice cream, etc. FACT: A hungry driver gets tired faster. So grab something to munch on while driving. The young lady working as cashier is very polite and patient with customers. This shop is small inside. When 3 customers come inside, you can barely turn around. I go out expecting the pump (# 3) to be finished. BUT NO! It stopped at the 5.5 gallon mark. Yikes, this is not good. I had to restart the pump, and then went back inside to find out why the pump stopped. The polite cashier told me pump #3 sometimes stops for no reason due to vibrations or shaking. Uh-okay, so the nozzle clicks off due to ground vibration. Okay, so more time to buy more junk food for the road. Gas prices are high here. On Feb 10, 2023, UL REG was $4.85 without discounts. Midgrade and Prem are over $5-gallon. But this station is on Woodside Road. A major roadway leading to freeways. Heavy traffic flow. People like me carry the gas cards of five major brands of gasoline. Shell is top tier gas, and today Shell got my business. This location has no carwash. There is enough room to maneuver pickup trucks, SUVs, and light trucks pulling trailers. Good luck when leaving, there's some tight turns around the islands. Located at Woodside Rd & Sequoia Ave, in Redwood City, CA. -”

“Lowest priced gas in the area besides costco, half the time. The pumps are a bit eh but its the lowest priced gas.. The grumpy old man behind the counter leaves much to be desired.. But again, lowest priced gas in the area”

“Chevron gas station with a snack station, multiple pumps, free water and air, large bathrooms, and plenty of room to move your car around. Prices can be a little higher than neighboring gas stations but the facility is nice and well maintained. This is located in a prime spot on Woodside Road near El Camino Real and Alameda expressway. One of the better gas stations in the neighborhood.Food offerings could be better. It is very small, only offering a few chips and drinks.”

“I frequently choose this gas station for its consistently lower prices. Despite its popularity, prompt service ensures minimal wait times at the pump--a notable advantage over the adjacent junction. Efficient and cost-effective fueling experience.”

“This station has very reasonably priced gas and the people that work in the convenience store are very helpful, friendly and efficient. I was there last night and there was a young woman with a dog shouting at the employees--they asked her to take her dog out but she continued to terrorize them and make stupid excuses. If the sign says NO DOGS, it means NO DOGS.”

“Consistently, one of the cheapest gas stations in the nearby area (cheapest we've seen is the sketchy one labeled "Gas Station" farther West on Woodside and I'm always worried what's pumping isn't actually gas). We've lived down Hudson for 2.5 years and I've always stopped here on the way to campus. Pros: Cheap b/c it's debit / cash. I mean, if you're not paying cash for gas you're most likely getting ripped off by everywhere else :P People who work here are really nice and polite, and the store is tidy. Service is prompt and there's usually no line so I can dive in / out on the fly. Your next price-comparable option in the area is Costco gas, which has shorter hours and lines like a Hertz at an airport. How much is your time worth? 2 entrances -- from Hudson or Woodside. Plenty of ways to get in as it's on a street corner. Cons: Plaza is somewhat congested to get around... drive behind the building to get to the pumps on the other side if that's the case. At a pretty busy intersection -- if you're coming out the Hudson side and trying to make a left on Woodside (i.e. trying to get towards the 101), you have to cross 2 lanes of unrelenting traffic. Trying to left turn to get northbound on Hudson? Good luck. I can attest that both are possible and can be done but it'll try your patience.”

“My car was in much need of a wash but due to social distancing I needed a place where I could just drive through a machine, no contact with anyone and have the scrubby rollers do their thing. Fortunately, the Chevron off Whipple did the job! As I drove up, there were only about 3 cars in front of me. When I was next in line, I did have to slide my credit card and press the touch screen once to indicate I wanted the $9.00 wash. I keep purell in my car so I was able to wipe down my card and my hands. The wash took a few minutes then I was in my merry way home leaving all the 20 Lbs+ of car grime behind. It's not the most thorough of washes but my car is cleaner than it used to be. Thanks Chevron Car Wash!”
