“I love the Stone Room! It has a great selection of crystals and stones at very fair prices. They also have a fantastic assortment of gemstone beads. Tenzin is always delightful and knowledgeable to work with. I have picked up some great stones here, and I know they are sourced in the best way possible via Tashi's travels and direct relationships with suppliers in each country. Most crystal stores that buy from gem shows and have no idea where their products are coming from, so I feel far better about buying from The Stone Room.”

“This is strictly a repair place, not a jewelry store, in a strip mall that features massage parlors. Don't be put off by the unprepossessing atmosphere. John is a master craftsman who knows his business. I had a saga with an antique garnet and diamond ring that had prongs sticking up. First I took it to Pavé which had repaired earrings for me for $35. As I noted in an earlier review, they would charge $675 to repair the prongs, and recommended removing the garnet for another $325. That was about the price of the ring when I bought it, so I decided against letting them repair it. I took it to Kim's Watches and Jewelry Repair, where I had had a bracelet untangled for only $8. Mr. Kim didn't replace the prongs, but he bended them, for $40. I thought the ring was fine but the prongs began sticking up again. Mr. Kim again worked on the ring, and charged me nothing. But I knew the problem wasn't solved. When I saw the positive reviews for Underhill Studio, I took the ring to John. He carefully examined the ring and showed me photographs. Virtually all the prongs needed replacement, but not the center garnet. It took two visits, but he replaced all of them for $185. The ring looks great and I think the problem is finally solved. If you want an upscale jewelry store, Pavé is fine. If you want an expert who charges a fair price, try Underhill.”

“Oh Sparkly Ragz how do I love thee...let me count the ways! I can't even remember how I found them. But it was through Facebook on one of their Facebook Live sales during the peak of COVID in 2020. Sooo glad I came across them. They are a quite consignment and exclusive boutique. They sell new, used, like new, and handmade items. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I've gotten purses, jackets, scarfs, jewelry etc! Both new and used. I've loved almost everything I've purchased. I tend to buy through the Facebook Live sales they do. And rarely make it into the store. If you're in the area worth stopping by, if not worth taking the trip! Good people and great items!”

“I've been to Industrial several times and have NEVER had a bad experience. The staff is always kind, considerate and helpful (even when it's the end of the day and they are about to go home).I have gotten 4 piercings at Industrial and my spouse has gotten 6. Again, always a positive and pleasant experience.All 4 piercings I got at Industrial were genital piercings. Now I mention this ONLY because, let's be honest, you want to be able to trust the piercer who is working on such a sensitive location. NOT A PROBLEM! You're talking about decades of experience and knowledge. I live in Vallejo but I will always make the drive to Berkeley when I need piercings. They are the best in the Bay Area. Plain and simple.”

“the owner of 30+ years (Bob) is a very nice guy. and more than knowledgeable when it comes to anything coin or precious metal related! although some times (mainly when you are selling something) he will use said knowledge and low ball you a bit because "he has to make a few bucks" which is understandable.. but a few times I brought coins that are considered collectible and the quote I recieved every time was " melt price " .. then next week I see them in his display case priced at double of what he paid me. it's just business, I know... but you don't have to get over on people. that's just my $0.02 cents..
