He confirms you have the proper setup before selling you any animals. He warned me about tannins before he sold me driftwood. They have great deals on superworms, and on floating plants like duckweed. Large aquatic plant selection, which is what brought me into the store in the first place.
Their saltwater section is especially impressive. If you keep a saltwater aquarium I highly recommend this place.
edit to add- I do wish they had more freshwater shrimps. They actually separate the cherry shrimps based on the color of their morph, which large pet chains don't do. So the shrimps maintain their colors.

My dogs love the cakes here and they have also tried their cookies and treats that are offered in the cases. The bakery also carries a small assortment of dog food, packaged treats, raw chews and dried chews, and many birthday accessories. There are many things here that are size appropriate for any breed of dog. I've gotten many little treats here for my dogs that range from 3 lbs - 16 lbs but I've seen people come in with their large breeds and leave with something for them.

We came by in the morning where they had a 10:00 opening. Fatih was personable, caring, and gentle with Booker! He took his time with Booker to make sure that he was comfortable! Fatih did an amazing and wonderful job! And Booker was definitely a pleased and happy camper!

Our shih tzu is rambunctious and high energy and I know she is not easy to groom, but Romero did such a great job with her and did exactly what we wanted. We will continue to go back to Fluffy Puppy. We had taken our cat to his primary vet for a regular checkup when they looked into his mouth and told us that it looked like he had cracked his tooth / line of blood at gum line... but sent us home to wait for their cleaning appt / x-rays that was about 2 months away? No. I searched online until I specifically found a dentist, I found Dr. Lynn. Marlene scheduled us almost immediately. Our first meeting with Dr. Lynn, we instantly knew she was someone you could trust. She let us know immediately that our cat was not having a crisis, most likely food dye (eye roll to primary vet... never again for specialty work). Fast forward to today, we just had our second cleaning with Dr. Lynn. Our cat is a pure breed, he is very smart and very sensitive so it can be a very difficult time for all of us. But with Marlene's attention to detail and pre/post appointment reviews and check-in's, and Dr. Lynn's exceptional work (we appreciate the pre/post tooth images, thorough analysis and resulting, noticeable clean, white teeth) we just feel so good knowing our baby is in the best hands, and that we have someone we can trust long-term. Thank you Marlene and Dr. Lynn!

Dr. Lam seems to have done a good job on my puppy's neutering this past Monday, but there was a serious breakdown in communication when my puppy began to show some distress after 48 hours. It took a while to get it addressed which was pretty disturbing, but Erica Wise, the administrator (I think) contacted me and assured me that the issues involved are being addressed and that the welfare of my animal is getting the attention that is appropriate. I will be continuing my puppy's care with Modern Animal.

171 N Altadena Dr UNIT 120, PasadenaIn regards to a review about unfair vet prices and preying on pet owners. Veterinary care in general is expensive. My sons dogs ear infection cost him 750 dollars…an ear infection. This is a dog too keep that in mind not an exotic…of course exotic care will cost more their exotics. If you want to talk about preying on the owners… my experience with that cost me 8 months of vet visits and 2 surgeries costing over 3500 dollars only for this so called “rabbit vet” to tell me he doesn’t know what’s wrong. When just 1 visit with Dr. Silpa ( who is an amazing exotics vet) took one look into my little bunnies mouth and quickly diagnosed him with advanced dental disease. If I had taken my bunny there from the beginning over all I would have SAVED money. So it REALLY does matter to find a good QUALITY vet who knows what they’re doing to take care of your special friends.
Fast forward 4 months my bunny has been a happy hoppy bunny and no more roller coaster rides for him thanks to Dr Silpa!

There was also a vet tech at the first visit whose name I believe was Brian. He was also awesome and took the time to talk to us and explain everything. The receptionist working at the first visit was wonderful, but the receptionist working there at the second visit was rude. Other than that, I highly recommend them.

We've been bringing my doberman here since she was a puppy- she's 10 now. All of our experiences with Rose City have been comforting, informative, safe, and trusted. We've done check-ups, tests, and even surgeries- and my dog has always been in such good hands. Recently their thorough checking prevented our dog from going under a dangerous surgery, which could have ended her life. We're so thankful. We live an hour and a half away and still prioritize this hospital over ones in our area!

The technician assisting (I don't remember her name) was so good at what she did to keep my dog calm. Very nice office, very clean, modern. Check in at reception was good. They have the entry and exit separate, which I thought was unique. Pricey, but if you can afford it, definitely recommend.

Dr Sharp diagnosed him immediately, and we started treatment asap. Andrea’s communication skills are excellent and reassuring. Even Dr Sharp texted to see how Prince was feeling, the next day. That made my day! It truly shows that they care for their patients. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The facility is sparkling clean.
Prince is feeling great again! All thanks to Vetco Pasadena and their AMAZING staff! Highly recommend their services! Can’t thank them enough!

I want a gentleman! LOL! Anyway, Jennifer quickly saw what Bear needed and what I needed in order to help him grow into that gentleman. 800 S Arroyo Pkwy, PasadenaMy husband and I have been trying all the best eats in SoCal lately, and we saw that Howlin' Ray's has one of the top-rated fried chicken sandwiches in the country, so we decided to check it out. For starters, the line is always long. Prepare to wait at least an hour. It's worth it, though. Now, for the food. The menu is small and it's tailored around a Nashville-hot-chicken theme. It features classics, such as a fried chicken sandwich ("The Sando"), chicken and waffles, chicken tenders, and sides like collared greens and potato salad. My husband and I both had The Sando, and I have to say, it's hands-down the best fried chicken sandwich we've ever had in our entire lives. Definitely worth all the praise and accolades. We also really love the banana pudding that they offer for dessert. Now, let's talk heat. The menu offers five heat flavors - country, mild, medium, hot, extra hot, and howlin'. I'm a wuss, so I had my chicken sandwich country-style (no heat). It was delicious! My husband loves spicy food, and he can handle heat. With that said, he tapped out at their 'x-hot' level. He said he can't imagine how spicy their 'howlin' level is. For reference, their 'howlin' measures in at two-million Scoville units. One of the workers said 'medium' is their most popular flavor, and people are often surprised how hot the 'medium' flavor is. So, if you like spicy food, I suggest starting with 'medium'. Lastly, the workers. Wow. They are so awesome! So friendly. So helpful. So cool. We love chatting with them every time we're in there. We've been to Howlin' Ray's three times in the past two weeks, and I'm sure this will now be one of our regular spots. Love this place!

The service here is always great! Well, I like to come on the weekdays, so it's probably better than on the weekends. I did come on a Saturday and it was very, very chaotic. You order up front and then pick your seat. Inside has tables and some outside. Parking lot in back. I love it here!

It included humus, pita, grilled chili and tomatoes and rice. Everything was seasoned really well and the grilled vegetables had a nice cracked char. It’s important to note that the rice is not vegan and not gluten free. I’m looking forward dining there the next time I’m in the neighborhood.

The parking is a little annoying since they recently constructed a ball pit for people, so parking can get heavy if you're not there at certain times. Sometimes, going around 4 pm as a start may make a difference.
Playground: They have a playground for children just at the beginning when you drive up next to a picnic area.
Toilets: Restrooms are located near the children's playground at the beginning when you drive up.
Dog-friendliness: Dog park is friendly. We just need to make sure we keep big pups and small pups separated - some pups don't get along with the big ones. Fights have happened.
Picnic area: The picnic area is great. Some at the beginning when you drive up, or more along as you drive in. Birthday parties happen. They can get crowded on weekends.
