“Came in with and older watch that needed a battery. He opened it up and showed me the corrosion from the dead battery. I thought terrible and could be a loss. Eric was kind enough to give it a cleaning and make some adjustments. In the end I have my watch back and couldn't be happier. His prices are still the best in town. He also has lots of art pieces and other oddity clocks which is very cool to see. He showed me a 100 year old clock that was carved to look like a terrier with the eyes moving for hours and minutes. Come to this place and find cool things you didn't know you needed or get a watch repaired, Eric has you covered.”

“I’ve been here a few times and they always have a really interesting mix of antiques. Mostly smaller things but they do have some furniture. But last time I went in looking for something beautiful to store my cats food in. I bought this beautiful glass cookie jar and because I was unsure it would be large enough she gave me a week to bring it back just in case. It ended up working out but I really appreciated the above and beyond customer service.”

“Galerie Sommerlath is a unique source of tasteful art and furniture in Los Angeles. The collection has a great point of view and we love the pieces that we bought. I was happy to spend my money there as the owner is a lovely person. Thank you!”

“Great stuff! But someone should tell these people a LOT has changed since 1910. There are so many styles that have emerged since then and it's good to have some variety in life. I love a solid wooden chair as much as the next guy, but sometimes you just want a lazyboy and a vibrating ottoman. I heard they are only open two days a week because they don't use cars and have to walk 35 miles to and from home. Talk about commitment!”

“If you're a fan of Spanish revival architecture and design, you absolutely must visit this antique store in Pasadena. From the moment you walk in, you'll be transported to a bygone era of grandeur and beauty, thanks to the store's incredible collection of historically significant pieces from mansions and hidden resources around the country. But what really sets this store apart is the owner, Marie. Not only is she a treasure trove of historical information, but she's also a saucy Canadian who is as sexy as she is knowledgeable. Her passion for Spanish revival design is contagious, and she's always eager to share stories about the pieces in her collection, their provenance, and the period in which they were created. What's more, Marie and her team are in great demand by the movie industry, thanks to their ability to provide authentic relics that create realism and authenticity on the big screen. So if you're a fan of classic Hollywood movies or just want to add a touch of movie magic to your home, this store is the perfect place to start. But what really makes this store stand out is its prices. Despite the incredible historical significance and beauty of the pieces in the collection, they are extremely reasonable. The lighting options are tremendous. There are often truly unique architectural pieces from the richly appointed mansions of Beverly Hills, Pasadena, Bel Air and Hollywood. “My daughter and I stopped in looking for an antique store. We found the most interesting place! It had a piano on a stage and seating. Thete was a sweet man there who spent time talking with us. As we were leaving, he let my daughter pick an antique postcard for free. She picked one with a horse and she loved it. Thank you for the interesting experience.”

“Awesome store, with lots of great items, Fair prices. Only thing is some of the items for sale here belong to someone who isn't physically there. So the woman at the register calls that person, tells him/ her what item(s) I was interested in, and then a price was given. So no haggling for a lower price. Other than that, it's an awesome store with a huge variety of vintage/ antique items.Btw. If you plan on checking this place out. Clear some of your schedule for that day, so you have enough time to see everything. I spent about 45min- hour in the store. Probably saw only 40% of the items.”

“Some of the reviews made me nervous, but the man is perfectly nice and they seem to pay the highest prices around for gold and silver. Yes, there's a guy in there who's smoking, but it's not as if the place is filled with smoke. I recommend this place.”

“My fiancé and I came here a couple of times this week and it didn't disappoint either time. The first time we stopped in, we found a bunch of antique bottles we plan to use as wedding decor for a really great deal! Several vendors had sales going on when we stopped in, so that was a lucky find. The staff and vendors greeted us and made sure we knew they were available if we needed any help. They were all very kind and friendly. One guy was so helpful getting the bottles off a high shelf for us and packing them up. And then the woman who checked us out was so sweet as well! We came back today because I had an appointment to try on wedding dresses at one of the booths, Cream & Ivory. Let me tell you, I have scoured the internet for vintage wedding dresses, and I was very impressed with the selection here. I would have been happy with several of the dresses I tried on to be honest, but I did find the perfect one I was looking for! Morgan, the owner of this booth, was so kind, patient, and helpful with getting me in and out of some of the dresses. (FYI: there's a little dressing area with a curtain in the corner to change, but you'll need to make an appointment with Morgan to try on the dresses, as some can be understandably delicate and she can help you carefully change into them.) As someone that feels uncomfortable and out of place in a traditional bridal shop, it was a lot of fun to try stuff on here and felt very relaxed and chill. Morgan is really cool and easy to talk to. She also gave me helpful and honest feedback and wasn't pushy or pressuring in any way, quite the opposite actually. The prices are beyond reasonable, which is so refreshing both in this economy and in the wedding industry. I love that it's important to Morgan to keep some cool vintage wedding gowns accessible in a city like LA. I'm in love with the dress I went home with today and really enjoyed my whole experience! Thank you Morgan, wishing you lots of success with your shop!”

“What a lovely store. They have a thrift shop with housewares, clothes, and furniture, as well as new pottery (large and small) for plants with a very extensive selection. The exterior shop extends around the neighboring auto shop and massage business. I will definitely be back!”

“After visiting the Goodwill, we were walking to a local pizza restaurant near the metro when we saw this shop. We went in thinking it would be a thrift store-calling-itself-antique-for-clout and didn’t expect this to be a two-story haven for art dealers, rug sellers, chandeliers, Asian pieces, and even a shoe shine stand! This was definitely a diamond in the rough!”

“Val is a great craftsman. He restored a chest of drawers for me and I am looking forward to him restoring a dining set for me as well. I would recommend him to anyone, as long as you are not in a hurry.”
