“The guys running this shop has always been nice and helpful. The course is always well maintained, if there's a storm they clean it up within the week. Pin positions are always accurate, the store has a wide variety of selections for disc or bags, relatively market priced. Yes you can buy disc online for cheaper, but you have to pay S&H as well as wait, like cartman, come on come onnnn! Anyways, I'd recommend shady oaks to anyone with whatever skill set you have. It is a more advanced - intermediate course, they do have leagues and tournaments so make sure to check UDisc before going.”

“Jamie was all around amazing!!! My friend and I were visiting for the weekend and called Jamie late in the day to take two kayaks out. She was welcoming, friendly and helped us with every step we needed to load up the kayaks.As the sun went down, one of us accidentally got lost. Jamie was incredibly generous with her time and energy. Even after the shop had closed, she waited with me and helped signal my friend to shore safely. To top it off, all of this was the night right before she was leaving for a big trip. I 100% recommend SUP California!!☺️”

“I'm giving a five star rating based on the technician who worked on my bike. If it were based on the service rep at the service desk (tune up/repair) I would give a two. I'm assuming it is a matter of personality, but the "gentleman" taking in my bike could use a good bit of customer service training. That said, the young man who did the work on my bike went above and beyond.”

“I am not a runner, but I do love a nice long walk. I’d worn out a pair of Sauconys I had gotten from a competitor about 8 months ago, so I decided to give this place a try to support local business. It was a terrific experience! The staff member was kind, welcoming and knowledgeable. Right away, she noticed the shoes I bought at the competitors store were too small, and gave me half size bigger. She listened to my concerns about the current shoe I had and what I was looking for. At no time did she make me feel like I shouldn’t be there because I’m not a runner, which has happened and other places. I will absolutely be back when I walk too many miles in these shoes.”

“This place is the best. They have a great selection of basically every outdoor need - clothes, hiking gear, chairs, boots, sandals. I get my snowboards serviced every year for a reasonable price. I bought my wife a bicycle a couple years ago and today I bought my 8 year old his first big boy bike. He was very excited. The Bike shop staff were super knowledgeable and got my boy's bicycle ready by installing the kick stand and bell. The service overall is outstanding.”

They have a huge selection of men, women, and every kid's sports items. The price is better than the retail store. The check-out counter in this store has many windows available. “I am surprised about the low rating for this store. I notice a lot of the reviews are 8 to 10 years old however. Today I was greeted immediately when I walked in the store by Angelique. Once I was in the dressing room, I didn't have to leave one time. She brought me every size that I needed, and was there when I needed her. She was very helpful, suggesting items to try on and very congenial. The quality of the clothing there is also very good and there are many things to select from. Don't let the rating that they have and these old reviews keep you from going there. Not only was Angelique very friendly the other staff was as well. It was a great shopping experience, and I highly recommend this store.”
