Spring 2023: Visited Okuma's headquarters in Ontario, California to pick up parts and get advice about a reel.Staff here are amazing! I had called days ahead of time and scheduled to pick up my parts at will call. The correct parts were ready for me, and two helpful employees helped diagnose a casting issue I was having.The building is a little difficult to reach from the freeways south of it because of the rough roads in the area but other than that it was an excellent visit.

This company is the best! As usual, the awesome staff at Okuma came through and fixed my Makaira 16. Everyone there is a perfect example of what customer service is all about. Kevin and Sherie were so helpful and kind and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again Okuma!

Awesome customer service!!! I snapped a bail arm on my ice fishing reel. I sent customer service a picture and model number and they shipped me out a replacement part the next day. Rare to find such hassle free customer service like this these days. I won’t hesitate to buy another product from Okuma.

Absolutely a true pleasure dealing with Okuma customer service reps. They definitely put in that extra effort to take care of their customer base and get you back on the water fishing. The gear is definitely amazing. I have some Okuma reels that are 15+ years old and still running strong even though I have abused them fighting fishing and traveling with them all over.

I Dropped off a tesoro for some service work they told me four to five weeks because of covid restrictions it was done in a week and a half . They shipped it and serviced it for free . The reel feels better now than ever great job Okuma .

Bought my first two Makaira (16&20) this month. The 20 was missing reel clamp assembly; not the fault of Okuma's inspection process, the bag was ripped open. Called sales and said I was going fishing this weekend. Okuma sales staff, Ron Almanza, sent me a replacement immediate; was able to use the reel that weekend. Thanks Okuma, great service and response.

I purchased a part from okuma and paid for the shipping of that part. When the part arrived a couple of weeks later it was incorrect. It was not the part customer service said they had. I then paid shipping to return the part. It was recieved at the front desk on January 4 2020 Today is January 20 2020. I have yet to receive my credit for the returned part. Customer service agreed they sent the wrong part. They refuse to reimburse my return shipping costs. The customer pays for Okuma customer service mistakes.I've made several calls and given all necessary information they asked for to receive my credit.Based on my experience Okuma Ontario, Ca offers Terrible customer service. There are plenty of other companies to buy from. I'm finished with Okuma Ontario, Ca. ?? Two thumbs down, way down!

Well, our daughter goes to spend time at her grandma's house in utah, every summer. Grandma takes young kids fishing throughout the year. She uses Okuma reels, on all her rods.This summer, one of the kids lost a nut that holds reel's handle on, so I brought it back to California with me to get a replacement. After checking with four or five local shops, and no one having a replacement; I decided to go to Okuma in Ontario.Upon arrival, I found they where closed due to Covid-19. While sitting in the parking lot, trying to call their customer service. A young man, came out to see if he could help. He took the reel, and was able to find a nut that would work, and do the job needed.That was Customer Service, taking care of the customer. Okuma Reels reely take care of the customer's.
