“Always a good experience here. So thoughtful about the animals' experience. We recently had a scare with our dog's health and she stayed over night for 3 days at the emergency. She was different coming out. So we set up a follow up appointment here and in the parking lot she immediately was shaking with anxiety. Once we were in the room she calmed down quickly and by the end she wasn't nervous at all. I really love the plethora of information and help that they can provide. When you think there are no more answers they have them. A++ from us.”

“We love the East Bay SPCA vet! They handle our dog and cats extremely well and are transparent about services and pricing (and the pricing is reasonable for our area). The only thing that can be tough is that wellness/non-urgent appointments fill up quickly and are typically booked several months out, so we often have to call multiple times to schedule. Worth it to know our fur babies are in good hands!”

“Honestly I feel so grateful I happened across this vet. Dr Jameson keeps it very real with me and is very understanding about my dog who is a rescue and pretty aggressive. If there is ever an emergency they try their best to see my dog as soon as possible. He is always realistic and honest about treatment and medication options, and is patient with my questions. I think it is important to note that Dr Jameson is Black because I see a lot of reviews on here that seem to be criticisms of him stemming from racism and microaggressions and I just want to point that out because I think it's important to call that what it is!”

We brought our cat in presenting pretty severe conditions after some ER visits that felt dismissive, and Dr. Atid immediately made us feel validated and also explained everything to us in great detail. She also acknowledged our urgency and forwarded us to a trusted doctor for further surgical procedures within 24 hours. Overall, GREAT experience at Cheshire Cat Clinic and we will definitely be coming here regularly for future cat vet visits.”

“Great veterinarians. The Dr.'s are all nice and care about my dogs health and happiness while we're there. The receptionists are very friendly and always give my dog attention, plus they're good with keeping animals separate if they're not good with other animals. The vet techs always take good care of her and she comes out happy. We go in often for anal gland issues...one tech keeps her happy on the front end while another does the dirty work. They always let me know how it went which I appreciate. I took her in for a bump removal surgery once and they have a separate room for the dog to recover in, not a crate. Plus there's a parking lot!Thanks for taking such good care of Lulu and making her feel loved while we're there.”

“Our veterinarian service closed- bloody Texas corporation owned group of clowns and we began using the SPCA. These folks were kind and helpful treating my 15 year old English Cocker-Molly. Some of her medical issues happened during the pandemic and the East Bay SPCA simply responded with reasonable protections. Molly was well treated here. Regrettably two years afterward, the Montclair Veterinarians/Hospital re-opened and Molly was suffering and in pain. We reluctantly chose to put her down. Still hurts after a year. The SPCA are a great service, Highly recommend.”

“My chihuahuas all lived to be 16, even though I could only afford to get teeth cleaning done on a few of my pack of 7. I just happened to think of the office of Drs. Hart and Dorsey, after looking to see if they were still in the same location, since I moved to Mich. in 2012. After seeing Ms Cunningham`s post, I had to throw in my two cents. To imagine that a customer would demand to be seen like she was the only person with a pet or limited time. During this Covid hysteria, no business has not suffered for lack of couregeous staff. I started seeing Dr. Dorsey in 199o when my mutt Rapper,was dying of congestive heart failure, aat 16. I took every puppy that my chihuahua`s had, to the Oakland Vet Hospital. One baby in a large litter was deformed, and Dr. Dorsey adopted him. I was happy when she advised me that my old babies didn`t need those vaxxes anymore...Maybe they had an inklingof an idea, that too many vaxxes will eventually accumulate into autoimmune issues.”

“It took a while to secure a new appointment here for my elderly shiba inu. She had been suffering from UTI's and skin itching for a long time. I used to get steroid shots for her every few months from our vet to calm everything, but they were pricey and he recommended that it would cause long term harm to our dog if we do it constantly, especially at her age. We turned to DFA in Oakland and the doctor there was most helpful. She was put on a Rx diet which helped. We also got recommendations to try other foods out there on the market as the Rx food was rather pricey. The advise worked and our pooch is no longer suffering with infections and rashes.”

“I brought my pet here and the experience was pretty great all around. Every time I've looked at scheduling an appointment I can usually find one about 10 days to 2 weeks out. Plus, some of their vets do hours that help for a 9-5 job. The vet tech was very nice and the vet listened to our concerns and offered reasonable paths forward to explore for treatment for our pet. May not be ideal if you have a pet emergency but if you are going for routine checkups or less urgent concerns it was a great option.”
