3868 Piedmont Ave, Oakland“Their business model is Customer First. Emoyees are knowledgeable. Easy returns/exchanges - though I never have returned anything because their staff always points me in the right direction.”
“A smaller size store, but the staff are big dog lovers. The love my black lab, Buddy. Their were tears when he passed. Now, they treat my new lab with the same care and love. When I came in with my arm in a sling, they grabbed the big bag and carried it out to my car without my asking for help. Great staff!”

5108 Broadway, Oakland“Lots of parking, very convenient to shop after grocery shopping and Safeway. Friendly staff and they have enclosed kennel area inside and outside of store for training classes on weekends for our puppy. Easy vaccination available Tuesday through Saturday at the vet clinic in the back of store.”
“Excellent customer service and generally great selection with an unbeatably large parking lot (for the area). Their inventory system isn’t always great at updating (not this location’s fault), but the staff are excellent about checking shelves and inventory in advance if you call ahead and are also happy to call other locations for you if they’re out of a particular item.”

4814 Broadway, Oakland“We've been coming to Petvet since our first dog years ago. The clinic itself is still just as awesome and affordable. Definitely expect to wait as it's first come, first serve, but the vaccination line moves pretty fast. Exams line takes a bit more time. Today specifically Annette was great getting our pets vaccinated even with our antsy ones.
As far as the pet store section, it's also super helpful especially when it comes to finding quality and/or hard to find pet products. So many products to choose from and hard to resist especially when my daughter visits with me.”
“This is our local spot for hay, treats, and pellets for our Ziggy Smalls! We stopped purchasing from Amazon and SPS, due to poor quality of 2nd cut Timothy...Ziggy was basically using it as his litter vs eating it. purchasing local here, supports his mission and ensures a safe haven for rabbit and Guinea pig owners so we feel good about coming here. We adore James and he's always helpful and kind when we visit. He was able to give advice when Ziggy had too much "wet poop", even after changing his daily amount of fresh greens. Thank you James! We also found out about them via local Facebook group: "rabbits of the Bay Area".”
“Just got my dog groomed here and it was a great experience. The owner is very kind and personable, it was easy to get an appointment, fair price and the groomer did a really good job. Will definitely be coming back!”
“Our pupp has been going to happy dog spa for some 6-7 years now. Over the years we’ve tried others and usually regretted it.This place truly cares for our fur baby who is super anxious about grooming. They are reliable, fast and caring and do an amazing job.”
“Visited today for the first time and had a splendid experience! I was greeted kindly upon entering the store and gently offered assistance. I had a couple questions and the employee offered an extra step to help me remedy a blunder I’d made with an online/pick-up in store order. They had me checked out and on my way quickly and exuded friendly professionalism and knowledge. Highly recommend this location - I will absolutely be back specifically for this level of magical experience!”

2869 Broadway, Oakland“Best place on earth!! For the cost of $12 a person my girlfriend and I visited and had an awesome time hanging out with the cats. Everyone here is so nice and respectful. Great service. Very calm environment (perfect for the cats). We had a hard time leaving without adopting a pair to take home. Please consider coming because the money goes towards taking care of the angels that live here.”

“Over all, I would definitely come back and support this business. Pro: I did not have to drop off my dog early in the morning. My dog was in and out within 3hours so he did not have to stay in shop too long. Clean cut over all. My dog is very fluffy and they did good job. Con: Maybe I am not still used to inflation but it is pricey. It cost me 200$ before tip.”
“Chill shop with friendly staff. I used to order a lot from Chewy. Now I come here for the inventory and the people. Even the security guards are warm and friendly.”
