“I don't normally like to stay in Oakland because of how run down it has become. But my husband and I have come across this gem of a location and we happen to really love this hotel, so whenever I have to stay in Oakland, this is where I will stay. I love that it is on the water. I love the walking trail. I love the nature. I love the friendliness of the staff. I love the breakfast. I love the dinner at the adjoining restaurant.
The hospitality here is always great, and it is such a tranquil experience everytime.
Nearby activities: Jack London Square, Downtown, Coultural History, Bowling ? Plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Walkability: The walking trail is a nice feature. But I definitely wouldn't be walking anywhere else in this area. Unfortunately, it is extremely dirty & run down in Oakland now with an out of control homeless problem.
Food & drinks: Dinner & drinks are served next door. And an excellent breakfast spread at the Best Western.”

“A great place to stay and just a few steps away from bart station to get to San FRANCISCO and the staff are very nice and helpful and there are great views of city and there's local farmers market on Fridays. And there are a lot great local restaurants and the hotel have a great place to eat the Iron&Oak restaurant on the second floor they sever good food, the best are the loaded tots and truffles fries.”
“We were relieved to find a great room at a price even I could afford, at this splendid Motel 6!
Everything was great, & very nice, right on the waterside at the marina.
I had been long overdue to soak in an extended hot bathtub, so much so, that I stayed an extra day, kitty cats are welcome too! I've been to many Motel 6's across the U.S.A. in my time, but I'd say this is my # 1! ⛵

“I initially was underwhelmed with this property. I have to bw honest and say the staff came through for me. I learned of the death of a cousin, Tania consoled me with so much compassion. I am beyond grateful. The lady at check in was pleasant. I would stay here again.

“Rooms were simple, clean and well cared for, though nothing like a modern renovated motel or hotel. The parking area and walkways to the rooms, even though they are trying with the abundance of plastic colorful flowers in the planters, are kind of bleak. Extremely close to Kaiser Hospital.”
“Best kept secret for a safe, quality and affordable room in Oakland! I have stayed here at least a half dozen times over the past few years and have always enjoyed this place. This visit I experienced exceptional service from Emoni at the front desk - very peasant and professional young lady. Great room this time too … attached photos of the serene view from my balcony.”

“The hotel was clean enough. There were face smoosh marks on the bed backboard, but otherwise, it was pretty decent. The valet and front desk were nice. Location is sketch, but it's downtown Oakland, soooo....... you get what you get. Felt safe outside hotel.”
“Wonderful hotel with great staff. A very short (about one to two minute) walk to ferry which takes you to the Ferry Station on Embarcadero in SFRooms: Beautiful, quiet, bedbug coverings on mattresses to ensure no bugs”
“Navigating the harbor was pretty tight. Quiet at night but kind of noisy during the day. Other than that I enjoyed the showers and laundry service they had available.”
“Rooms were very fresh and clean. Bathroom facilities felt newly renovated. Overall very happy with the accommodation. Great service, the manager was both nice and helpful always greeting us with a smile. Neighbourhood is a bit rough but with that you can also stay at a nice hotel for a nice price.”

“Loved our stay here! The staff were so friendly which was very welcoming since we came from out of the country. The rooms were clean, tidy and very well priced! The housekeeper was so sweet and easy to talk to, very attentive. We were able to walk around the neighbourhood and make use of the nearby laundromat. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit !”

“At the rate paid for the room was awesome. A glass walk-in shower with sliding doors, and a body mirror in the bathroom was awesome. Clean wrapped 6 ounce gargling cups or beverage cups. The bathroom was clean with clean towels, hand towels, and face towels. The bedding was comfortable, I could not get up. The television worked and the sockets in the wall to recharge electric appliances. Most of all, I like the studying desk. For under a hundred dollars a night, I consider it fare market value....”
“Outside isnt much to look at largely due to the location.The rooms are way nicer than expected.And the staff was very kind and helpful.This is a work in progress and i expect things to continue to improve.This place is worth giving a chance.”

“The rooms were very clean and very nice. The service is also very good but I really think they need to improve their English and the location. I really don’t think it’s their fault because before I was here and there was no people on the streets in front. I also saw them tell them to go away but they did not. Overall I think this is a nice hotel just needs a little more help and yes please do try to come to Harris Motel. I also saw some other reviews and some of them were not true please do not believe everything they say about Harris Motel. One of the reasons I saw was that the dogs were not allowed and it was strictly forbidden, but I think they’re reason is, because some dogs create a lot of chaos, and that some people create huge mess with the dogs and they don’t want to clean that up because overall it is their mess. The last thing I will say is that service dogs are allowed. That’s all, and I don’t mean to disappoint you if this doesn’t happen but this is my opinion and if you don’t it is really okay! So I really think you guys should go to Harris Motel. Fun fact - ( before it used to be 7.4 stars!) until the people in front came so yea!Rooms: It was very clean. The bed was also very comfy and the sheets were clean aswell!”

“Dont expect to much but if you are in a budget this would be considered. No problem with the location, it is surrounded by foodies restaurant. What i dont like here is that one (1) hour before the check out, they will knock at your door informing you about the check out time. Staffs are not good and not bad.”

“We had an amazing experience at our stay here! Staff was so friendly, very accommodating to our large crowd (2 basketball teams) and they even gifted us a costco size package of water bottles! Sabrina checked us in and was so sweet and friendly! Hotel was very clean and we always had a parking spot! Beautiful views and great breakfast spread! Highly recommend!”
“Place needs updated really bad. Carpets need cleaned, or at least move the furniture around to clean the carpets. Not in a really safe area of town, owners were super nice though and that is a big plus.Gave me great directions to lacal places to eat or grab food for microwave.Safety: Not in a good atea of town if you were a white female traveling alone.”

“Very low frills hotel with exceedingly helpful, pleasant, and down to earth staff. Basic continental breakfast with yogurt, coffee, tea, wrapped pastries and a few other items.The room was small with the sink in the room instead of the bathroom. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Everything was clean.We mainly stayed to have an inexpensive and convenient place to stay after a concert at the arena. It was a very safe and quick walk from BART a little before midnight.”
“They just came out with a bunch of really good food. They have a full menu. The street tacos are FUEGO..Food & drinks: The owners offer a great little menu and you don't even have to stay at the motel to order food! I would really recommend giving it a try..”

“After reading recent reviews I was pleasantly surprised. The Ac works, I think some idiots on the reviews don’t know how to turn it on ? the rooms are clean and don’t smell like smoke. No roaches. I haven’t seen a single homeless person so not that rough of an area. Berkeley had tons of crack heads around my hotel there. Not the case. Close to the ballpark and airport. Save over $100 staying here.”

“Very conveniently located right next to the San Francisco bay Oakland airport, across the bay from San Francisco, with hwy access to downtown Oakland and San Jose
Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Lots of parking available (at a cost per night)
Rooms are spacious and very nice.
A basic breakfast is available as well every morning, coffee, tea, scrambled eggs, toast etc. Nothing to lavish, but does the trick if you are looking for a hotel with breakfast in the morning.”
