“This place was surprising.Room was huge. It appears that the building was once apartments, and I wound up with what was a large 1 bedroom apartment. Living, dining, kitchen, everything. Nice views and ducks to toss lettuce to from the balcony I had. Fairly priced and great location.”

“Good experience! It's not the most luxurious but it's super quiet when I visited. Walking to the water at night without seeing another person is a nice retreat from the busy city.The rooms are OK! AC works great. Showers work and are pretty clean.”
“Enjoy it while you can. This is a fairly standard hotel, but the location is outstanding - right downtown with tons of shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel was sold recently and will be converted into some kind of housing or healthcare facility, maybe in early 2024. This is too bad, because most of the other hotels in Alameda are nowhere near downtown. And the staff are all helpful. It's a shame this hotel may be going away. I was in Alameda for work and staying here made my trip much more funNearby activities: Lots of shops, bars and restaurants close by. Full-sized grocery store almost next door. And, as another review mentions, Wally's Corner bar is on the same block :-)Walkability: Right downtown”
