6004 College Ave, Oakland“This is a beautiful store and the owner was extremely patient while I sent photos to my husband of the candlesticks that we were interested in purchasing. He is committed to staying on Piedmont Avenue and has been in this location for over 25 years. We are so happy that I “shopped local” yesterday.”
“It’s such a vibe …perfect place for a mother to listen for my next plant babies to whisper to me?. Also everyone is very knowledgeable and attentive. The plants are priced reasonably and are quality plants”
11AM - 6PM
5451 College Ave, Oakland“We love this table so much! The table was delivered quickly and the website was super helpful! The wood is great quality and heavy and thick and has so much character. Very happy with the quality and efficiency on delivery.”
“I was in need of getting our house staged. Michelle was so helpful and understood/appreciated the 1950s vibe of the house. She was accommodating moving schedules around to make it work and sending over an estimate right away.”
“First time shopping at Dimensional and not disappointed! I thought buying discount furniture wouldn’t be this enjoyable. Better selection of furniture and accessories than I thought I’d find. Customer service on point and don’t forget to look at the catalogs because you can order stuff ?”
“I’m visiting Oakland, and this store was right next to where I stayed. It’s such a beautiful place with so many beautiful and unique pieces. If you are looking for beautiful, elegant home pieces, then this is your store. I ended up buying three items. They also offer online shopping which I will be taking as advantage of. Customer service is also a 100%.
When I come back to Oakland: I will be visiting again.”
“Beautiful selection of plants and other happiness inducing items! The owner/curator is very helpful with information and how-tos. Stopped in by chance, and it's now a favorited location.”

276 11th St, Oakland“Emrick was amazing to work with. He did a great job of consulting us to find the best fit. He spent a lot of time with us to make sure we were 100% satisfied with our project and really handled our design with care. He kept up updated through the process and everything was delivered on time.”
“The colors, smells and textures were so exciting to my senses. I wanted to bring home so many things that I don’t need. I am going to remember this as a perfect place for gift giving. All of the things I would love to own!”
10AM - 8PM
101 Clay St, Oakland“Great World Market location. There are plenty of options here from furnitures to chocolate and food from all over the world. Spacious store and kind and helpful staff. Overall, it's a great World Market location.”
“Out of all the WaistBeads shops I’ve visited here in and around Oakland, this is the best! I would give her 10 stars if I could. Besides being the most friendly woman on the planet, her work , her craftsmanship is beyond measure! Immaculate , God bless this woman ??”
11AM - 7PM
560 2nd St, Oakland“Insane curation of vintage furniture, art and decor located in Oakland. I frequented the shop back when it was next door and in a much smaller space. It’s now expanded to a beautiful and generous location (used to be a Bed Bath and Beyond). I went in today and loved their new space and layout.
Most curation falls under mid-century modern and Scandinavian design. Some 80s and 90s as well. Prices are on the mid to higher-end but fair, selection is similarly diverse. This place isn’t a quick-stop though, best enjoyed with time because there is just so much good stuff to look at. I purchased a set of vintage Japanese side tables that are probably my favorite pieces I own at the moment. Great music, too.”
“We were looking for a lot of window treatments for our house in a couple different styles for different parts of our house. Pat was so patient and helpful while we were being very particular. At one point we'd probably gone through six or eight books of different shades and still hadn't found something we loved and Pat said she thought she had the perfect thing for us and left to bring more options and found us the perfect shades. Manufacturing was fast and installation was quick and professional and we're SO happy!”
12 - 5:30PM
3812 Piedmont Ave, Oakland“Very reasonable prices and the inventory is varied and extensive. If you just starting out on your crystal journey this an exciting place to start.I appreciate the large amount of "raw" crystals on stock. Friendly staff very accommodating.”
9:30AM - 8PM
7200 Bancroft Ave, Oakland“Customer service here was good for once. It was nice to walk into a Dietes discount store and they have a wide selection of everything you want. I will return as a satisfied, customer.”
11AM - 6PM
5640 College Ave, Oakland“From Tara-Nicholle's review - "totally stuffed to the gills" may be the biggest selling point and biggest gripe I have with Maison d'Etre. It's nearly impossible to move around when there's more than a handful of people in this shop, but that inspires you to look at everything more closely and enjoy every detail and the curation by the owners. They do have lots of handmade items, minimal vintage, and anything you could want to gift your friends and loved ones, and more often than note a treat for yourself too!”
“I can't say enough good things about Dee. We worked with her eight years ago and had such a good experience that we recently called her about freshening up much of the rest of the house. While Dee has an exquisite eye for design, she really listens to clients to hear what their design preferences are. She patiently explains options, and she is gracious about budget constraints. Finally, she is fun to work with!”
11AM - 6PM
5453 College Ave, Oakland“I never need to directly go here myself, but my husband loves it so I go with him sometimes. He likes to get the rugs there. This time we were looking for some rugs, but we ended up with socks, knives, and incense instead. Spacious boutique shop with unique items from household to kids to beauty to kitchen products. Dog friendly. The cashiers greet you, but usually keep to themselves until you're ready to check out. Great local spot to go to support your local businesses whether you're buying gifts or things for yourself. Easy walk from Rockridge BART or there is paid street parking, and free residential parking. Or bike or bus! Luckily for me, I can walk down here.”
10:30AM - 6PM
4025 Piedmont Ave, Oakland“They have a LOT of gift options, and you can order completely online for delivery or pick up. I did pick up, and they call you when it's ready. You go up to the door and ask the person sitting there for your order, and then you are done! This is a typical gift store, ie cute stuff, but none the less STUFF. They are unique and do have useful gifts, but just wanted to warn y'all that would rather give useful things and not just cutesy "idk what to get you" gifts.”
10 AM - 10 PM
371 9th St, Oakland“Wahing Trading is unfortunately closing which is such a bummer. Wahing has been open since 1996 and is closing down in 2021. The owner of Wahing decided it was time to retire and the property owner wanted to sell the building Wahing was in. I will miss you Wahing!”
10AM - 6PM
2201 International Blvd, Oakland“We have been purchasing furniture and rugs from Dimensional Design for years and have been very pleased with our purchases. They have all colors, shapes and sizes and are very professional when they deliver the items.”
10AM - 6PM
482 49th St A, Oakland“I've bought jewelry from this shop before and I appreciate their selection. I bought a couple of custom bracelets for my mom here, and when they were lost via UPS, Artemio and his team were lovely and helped with a complicated customer service issue. Truly standout service.”
“I've popped in the Oakland shop many times over the years, to buy a few special gifts but mostly to feast my eyes on the wearable art. When my fiancé and I went in to look at rings, we had the honor of being helped by Laur. She was so patient and kind with our very different shopping styles, and it was obvious she truly enjoyed the process of helping us find the jewelry that spoke to us as individuals. We came back several times to try things on and think about it before making our choices, and Laur saved our favorites from previous visits and offered thoughtful new options we might not otherwise consider. Nothing about the process felt stuffy or pressured, but rather like she was the super stylish and knowledgable friend who you'd want to take ring shopping with you. We finally chose options we are both thrilled about, she was great about walking us through the process to get my fiancé's vintage band resized. Thanks Laur!”
“I really appreciate having this Ross in East Oakland! It has a great selection, doesn't usually have long lines, and the staff here has always been nice and welcoming. They like to crack a lot of jokes, and that makes it fun. I love going as a chance to destress and look at all the good stuff I don't really need lol Great value and great seasonal merchandise”
“This shop is a sweet little piece of heaven. Their plants are lush and gorgeous, lots of goods from local artists, a cute little Studio Ghibli section, and meaningful events focused on mental health and well being. I love this place and the special folks that run it. I'm so impressed with their commitment to the community. It's a great place to shop and on top of that, a portion of the proceeds go towards supporting mental health initiatives in the community.”
