Very intelligent, informed staff with great suggestions!! Great selection of books. Quick turn around time when ordering books that they don't have in stock. Totally reasonable prices. Can do business with them over the phone. I like keeping my money local instead of feeding the web.

Beautiful shop with bright light and shelves complete with shiny new books. Great place to buy a gift and starve Amazon.
For nearly 30 years we were DIESEL, A Bookstore. In Sept. 2017, a store manager (w/ the help of the community) bought the store! We then became East Bay Booksellers. Don't worry, the neon still burns brightly, and we're as committed as ever to stocking the most diverse array of array our shelves can hold. Thanks so much for supporting this space over the years.
