921 Washington St, Oakland“This place is tremendous and a MUST for anyone who is remotely interested in video games.
Brought my 11 year old son here and we spent a WHOLE afternoon learning about the games and playing them.
Mason, the Executive Director, is passionate about the history and design of the games. He was available for all questions throughout our visit and helped us a ton. He even led my son through a mini coding session on an Atari computer!
This place is super accessible by BART (only a 5 min walk from the 12th & Broadway station) AND there is a delicious food hall next door.
A+ (I would also recommend going on a W or TH, when it is less crowded).”

I've been here on other nights when it gets cold when the sun goes down.In short, performances are always great, but dress for the weather to fully enjoy the experience.”
“Got tested 2nd day of the new year. Community was very kind and supportive. Even the lady who took my tests was a nice conversationalist and made the process easier for me despite the tests being super new to me. 10/10 I’m going back again ??”

3400 Broadway, Oakland“Storyline church came into my life at the perfect time when I was going through a lot of inner healing and growth in my relationship with God. There is a lot of warmth when you step into the walls of Storyline, one that I certainly wasn't used to from a previous church I went to for years. I prayed about finding a church like this and it almost seemed too good to be true to find it, but God was listening to my prayers and he delivered like He always does. The community is amazing and the church is continuously growing. Pastor Akeem loves to connect with each person who walks through the doors (which is hard to come by with other churches), and the leadership team goes above and beyond in how they connect with all the congregants. It's exciting to see where Storyline is headed this year and I'm so thankful to be here!”
“Easy drive up and drop off. They do not accept oxygen tubing and said they have an overstock of emesis bags, so didn't want those either. I'm happy they exist.”
“Great place to find art supplies at an affordable price. Parking can be a bit difficult to find on the weekends, and sometimes items are a hit or miss. I would definitely recommend checking it out during the weekday for the best items”

4292 Keller Ave, Oakland“I've been attending SCC for almost 6 years now, and have been so blessed to call it home. When I moved to the Bay Area, I visited multiple churches to find where God was calling me to stay. I knew this was the place after my first visit. I was welcomed by loving people from all walks of life with open arms. This church is a beautiful mosaic of different cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds where no one person feels less important than the other. I'm so glad I found a real community of believers, who I can turn to for anything, as we pursue our calling together. SCC is rooted in scripture, powerful worship and the belief in Christ as our savior.”
“These people have helped soooo many others. Never asking for anything in return.Well worth a trip to there office. See what you can do to help. Donate money, food, or just a few hours of your time. Everything helps there cause.”

2847 Peralta St, Oakland“So much to love about this community garden. Right in the heart of West Oakland, it's an oasis of nurtured nature. Pick up seasonal seedlings to add to your garden. Or grab fresh organic produce from their community fridge. If your lucky you might get a dozen of fresh eggs from the chickens that live in the garden. It's a sweet place to bring little ones to see how an organic farm works and then enjoy the play structure. I love this little gem and what it does for the community.”
“Been coming to Pat and Yvonne for YEARS with my taxes. Their friendly demeanor and professional work ethic is spot on. I'll keep coming here for tax help as long as I live in Ca”

Prices are great for what selections and varieties they offer.Last, but not least. I received great customer service from Yeni. She was really cool and went out of her way to help me out. Thanks again!! Hope to see you guys in the spring or summer when everything is in bloom.”

I am always amazed at how much work they get done. Not only are they hard working but they greet and talk to everyone like you are the most special person. The folks who work here . . . they care!! They care a lot.I have seen them help people with taxes, distribute food, job search assistance, internships, English and math classes. They do everything. They have very high expectation of themselves and work hard to meet the needs of the community.”

“A Christian rescue mission, homeless shelter and charity organization that transforms the lives of sinners, including former robbers and drug dealers through rigorous Bible education, cooking responsibilities, house-keeping responsibilities, and referrals for job training to outside organizations such as People Ready and Episcopal Community Services. One gentleman I met named Antonio is in a cooking program through Episcopal Community Services. There is a lack of accountability, and a serious need to reinforce Biblical values with the foul language and lack of seriousness in glorifying Jesus with words and conduct.Regardless, I am very thankful for the resources and opportunities City Team Oakland has given for broken people like me to turn away from my sinful ways and keep in step with the spirit.”
“My experience at legal services for prisoners with children All Of Us or None. Positive informative and felt like home away from home. I hated to leave but had to get across the Bay for work.Charles Talib Brooks”
