839 Lincoln Way, Auburn“U.S. Artisan Marketplace is a beautiful little shop in downtown Auburn. The owner, Carolyn, is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She takes such care in sourcing the products that are to be sold in the store. They're all ethically produced, and are high quality. There have been so many different types of products such as lotions, candles, pillows, clothing, hats, stickers, jewelry, chocolate bars, and olive oils. Because all items are sourced and researched by the owner, she tends to be very knowledgeable about any questions you may have while shopping. It might seem like the store is one big room, but climb up the steps in the back and you'll enter another section to shop. Up those stairs is the home of Carolyn's own jewelry line. They're all beautiful pieces, and I highly recommend checking them out.Something I've never seen in another store before is the bouquet bar. There's a section of wall with pots that house different types of plants and flowers. Pick some of those out, and then you'll have yourself a beautiful bouquet. I had one that lasted for a couple weeks! All the grocery store bouquets I've bought will usually die after 4-7 days. Even if you don't live near downtown Auburn, U.S. Artisan Marketplace is worth the drive.”

823 Lincoln Way, Auburn“When a small town boutique is featured in a big city magazine, you know you have found a hidden gem. The San Francisco magazine wrote an exceptional article on Martin Mattox Merchantile. It's a shopping treasure hunt with a multitude of hidden layers. While exploring the boutique you'll find; a collection of local and international merchandise, frontier-chic clothing, vintage denim, Stetson hats, housewares, dry goods, jewelry, art, apothecary, textiles, horsehair bolos and scrimshaw cuffs. The setting is like taking a time travel journey to 1850, with the original brick walls and pine floors built 170 years ago. The downtown Auburn area is a great date spot. There are plenty of stores to explore while getting to know each other better. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY”
“I’ve been shopping here for at least 20 years. Staff for assistance are almost non-existent & not all that friendly. This store is good for fabric, lace/trims, paper items and florals.”

“Do you like exploring antique stores? Do you like looking in nooks and crannies and shelves and exploring to see everything that is available for purchase? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you need to go visit Ingrid at the Merry Go Round. She owns this shop, and is a very polite, very knowledgeable owner, who has been known to be willing to discuss prices. I truly enjoy stopping by here and have purchased several items over the years. Do yourself a favor and stop by. She may have just what you are looking for.”
