Puppy Party San Diego - National City
Suite #E17, 1430 E Plaza Blvd, National CityThere is nothing wrong with the dogs from here except for the price. All these dogs look spoiled, and I'm sure the people who adopt them spoil them too.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

La Flamme Française
3030 Plaza Bonita Rd ste 9274, National CityHis quiché is probably THE BES in SD; love how much he adores what he does and genuinely a kind soul. Anytime I interact with him at farmers market events around SD, he is kind and remembers what my family and I get regularly. Informs us of new ingredients or new recipe if he has any. Service is always good, may not be the fastest because he operates and does everything on his own but you will feel his kindness and passion for what he does. They have nice seating areas throughout the farmers market street so it'll be easy to find a place to sit.

Hannegan’s House Beer Co & Creamery
1535 Tidelands Ave. ste c, National CityThis is such a great little place. If you want to come somewhere that there's no judgment, good beer, good people, this is your spot. It's out of the way which has its pluses and minuses. It's truly a microbrewery almost a nano brewery. My favorites are the Irish Red and the Irish Stout. There is occasionally a pale or a blonde that can't be passed up.

Nandri Indian Cafe
106 E 8th St, National CityIt's nice to see more Indian food around the national city area! Customer service and food are good! Parking is kind of difficult if it is busy, but the food makes up for it. I tried the butter chicken and that was really delicious! I also tried the biryani rice and it was good, but a bit of a fusion that I'm not used to. My friend loved it though, so there ya go! We also got the Naan bread which was good. Would come back to try other dishes next time!

Over The Tap
2424 Hoover Ave Suite A, National CitySo I stopped in here thinking it was actually a brewery. Thrown a curve. Misinformed. Yes, when I did the Yelp and Google search for the area, it came up and, honestly I made the mistake of not reading the reviews.. It's ok though, a beer bar is the next best thing for me! And I wasn't the slightest bit disappointed, as they did have a well-rounded, eclectic selection of beers, ciders and kombuchas on tap. I mean really, this was probably the first place in a very long time that I had tried only 3 of the beers they had on the board. The bar gal was very friendly and offered me anything to taste also. It was somewhat impressive for a small place near the Chick Fil-A and In-N-Out burger in National City. There are plenty of other businesses here too in the same parking lot for the spillovers that are impatient to wait in those long lines, especially when one is hungry. Here, I chose a 5.4% brown ale named "Who's That? Brown!" from Tarantula Hill brewing, that was nutty yet light bodied. A simply fantastic beer like their "Liquid Candy IPA" that I had at Phil's BBQ months ago. Most of the beers were one-offs and overall less commonly found around town. The vibe here was-bring your own food, super-friendly bartenders, 91x type music- and though I was solo, it was a super chill experience and left happy even after just one beer. This is a place I would return to.

Pho Mai Cali & Grill
1635 Sweetwater Rd h, National CityFound this hidden gem one mile away from Westfield Bonita Mall. I come in around 10:30am and didn't wait long till I got served. The lady who looked like the owner took my order and recommended to try #13 Combination Special Pho (Large) $15.50 Rate it 4.2 out of 5 stars - comes with rare steak, fatty brisket, well done flank, tendon, tripe, & meatball. You should definitely try it, all the meats were fresh and tender. The pho broth was great! Would recommend coming here when they first open at 10:00am. D2 Vietnamese Ice Coffee $4.99 Rate it 4.6 out of 5 stars So far one of the best Vietnamese Ice Coffee I've had since I've been in San Diego. It tastes similar to Lee's Sandwiches. Subtotal $20.49 Sales tax 8.75% Total: $22.28 Worth the price! Overall rate this place 4.5 out 5 Stars a place would recommend my friends and family!

Ping Yang
41 E 8th St, National CityCustomer Service plus. Friendly, helpful, explained the ingredients in each of our selections to make sure were not allergic to anything (we’re not). Did I mention she had a cheerful personality? Ordered food, given a device that buzzed when our food was ready. Our food was so fresh, hot off the grill. She provided extra spice and chilies, sauce to increase the heat. Excellent quality. The Tom Kha soup had a slightly different taste than we are use to, but not a bad variation. Wife got the fried rice with shrimp, I got the Pad Thai with chicken. The 3 items were very filling. The open venue with long tables, couches, etc for seating and large roll-up windows provided the indoor/outdoor environment. Very enjoyable meal.

Niederfrank's Ice Cream
726 A Ave, National CityI finally got to try this spot, and the ice cream was really good, but I was hoping to be able to walk into the store and admire its classic vibe. I didn't know they had a type of kiosk thing at the entrance, and pretty much that's where you order and wait for your ice cream. Still, everything was fine. I'm glad I got to try it after living in National City for 23 years.
