Coastside Pets
Sunshine Valley Rd, Moss BeachMy dogs LOVE these treats! I'm a Dog Trainer & Behavior Consultant that usually uses human food treats but sometimes needs a healthier alternative for certain pups. These treats are as loved by the dogs as the hot dogs! High quality, safe for allergies and food limitations and deemed delicious by dogs! Jessie and Calvin are such kind and generous people and their customer service is fueled by their genuine care for our pets! Thank you so much you guys!

Moss Beach Distillery
140 Beach Way, Moss BeachMade a reservation for Saturday night on the patio and got to enjoy the sunset with a great ocean view. Would recommend a reservation if you want to guarantee a spot on the patio during peak hours, but looks like you could also see the ocean from some of the tables inside as well. It got a bit chilly after the sun set, there were some fire pits the staff lit but you could only feel the warmth if seated directly next to them. Also, a lot of dogs on the patio but they were mainly well behaved.
Standard fare for a seafood place, prices are a bit high considering the food quality but makes sense based on the location and view.
Liked that they had warm cocktail options since it got chilly during the night.
Clearly labelled vegan options on the menu. Got the battered artichokes hearts (with spicy ketchup and citrus vinaigrette instead of ranch). Really tasty and went well with the alternate vegan sauces. For entrees we got the pasta primavera and veggie tacos (both made vegan by removing cheese). Both were tasty and good portion sizes as well.
Service was a bit slow but they seemed to be short staffed so understandable. Would come again for the view, also a good option for a nicer dinner if there are vegans in the group.

Odyssey's Pizzeria Taqueria
2350 Carlos St, Moss BeachWhat a pleasant surprise! My daughter and I stopped in after discovering the Distillery was closed. We walked in at 8:30PM and were welcomed to order, even though it looked like they were closing. We honestly didn’t have high hopes, but we were wrong! Our order: 1. Caesar salad was fresh, dressing tasted homemade (as did the croutons). Chicken was reminiscent of the taqueria from across the street - 10/10. 2. Mozzarella sticks: perfectly done and fresh. Not sure how they pulled that off, but I’m glad they did. Marinara was on point. 10/10. 3. margarita, 1/2 garden…fresh veggies, sauce was good and they accommodated our request to remove artichoke hearts. Only complaint is that it was slightly underdone (though I think that was because we sat there and waited and they were trying to be as quick as possible) 7/10. We’re not from the area and I feel like if there are any other “out-of-towners” looking for a good bite but are having trouble finding a place, it’s worth taking a chance on this one.
