I must say this has to be the worst run business I've seen. It is consistently closed when it is during their hours of operation. Also the staff are smug or just indifferent. I can not believe it is still open.

My wife found a pair of earrings there that she could not resist. The painted pattern reminded her of indigenous Mexico and the dangly earrings had a great backstory harkening to Esalen's small group of vendors who sold original jewelry pieces outside of the campus property in the '80s. And the price and service was great too.

Alexa is a kind, knowledgeable, incredible asset for this business. I bought a couch, print and a pillow. Two of these were the best i've ever purchased, and there was a wonderful sale on each. They kept the couch for a while as i needed to pick it up later for my move. Accomodating, friendly and a lovely store. This is an amazing boutique

Have loved this shop ever since I was a teenager! Such a great staple for second hand items in Monterey. Every time I go I'm usually Sunshine is working and she is a delight, customer service and just being nice goes a long way! I send my clients down if their shopping for themselves, child or friend. They have it all

Stopped by while visiting Alvarado brewing! Sunshine was really awesome at recommending other store with men's clothes. The place is full of really great and unique items. Overall it was a great stop and I look forward to visiting again!

My mom had an appointment here at 1 o'clock today. There was a sign on the door saying they had changed their opening hour from 11am to 1pm on Fridays. My mom stood there until 1:30 (with 2 big boxes of clothes) and at that point decided to leave. No one ever showed up. We both called and no one ever answered either. Also, we never got a phone call from them with even so much as an apology for being a no-show. The owner sure doesn't know how to run a business here. I'm surprised they've been open for so long. Will have to seek out other, more professional places to shop and sell at.

I love Lunablu! You have to make an appointment to drop off clothing beforehand; it takes about a week for whatever is not taken to be returned to you. I prefer to sell here because she purchases the clothing outright for cash or credit, no consignment. The prices are on the high side for vintage shops, but the owner has her own aesthetic. There are a lot of boho pieces. I have gotten some insanely unique items here from smaller niche European brands I was not even familiar with.Now the store features cool pottery and home goods, in addition to clothing, shoes, and accessories. It also has a new corner for children’s toys and decor. I haven’t had any bad experiences with the service. They don’t bother you and nobody has been rude to me, quite the contrary. Many friends of mine in the community sell clothing here and it’s pretty much our favorite vintage shop in the area..

I just shopped here for the first time, and I will be back whenever I'm in Monterey! The selection and ambiance is wonderful. I also experienced really relaxed but attentive customer service. I tried things on twice and my 6-year-olf sat in the chair outside the dressing room. Never did I feel unwelcomed or rushed like another reviewer said. I'm a size medium/large, and I found lots that fit me. I know plus-size is hard to find vintage/second-hand, so there wasn't a lot, but it definitely seemed like they made an effort to get a variety of sizes. I've been to so many store like this that seem to only buy size xs/small, so I appreciated the large selection of mid-size clothes. I wish I had more time to go through their shoes and other goods... Next time!

For the amount of money in spent in this store, I'd advise the manager to tell her employee not to rush me out of there when trying on clothing to purchase! Its very rude and unprofessional!

I had an appointment to consign some clothes today, but unfortunately the owner didn't show. The business is supposed to open at 11, and my appointment was scheduled for 11, but upon my arrival, there was no one there. 15 minutes went by and I was a bit frustrated, but was trying to be understanding as I know things happen and people show up a little late sometimes. By 11:30 when she still hadn't arrived, I decided to make my way. If it weren't for having an appointment, I wouldn't have cared, but c'mon, that's just rude.
