Happy Tails Doggy Day Care and Grooming
1320 Park St, MontaraStacey has been my go-to for grooming and boarding my standard poodle for over two years now, and I can't imagine working with anyone else. Grooming a standard poodle takes a lot of experience and skill, and her expertise and attention to detail keep my pup looking stunning and stylish. Whenever I'm walking my dog, I'm constantly stopped and asked where I take her for her haircuts!Stacey also provides boarding services, and my dog LOVES playing in the fields of her ranch. Stacey's genuine care for my dog's well-being shines through and I have peace of mind knowing that my pup is well taken care of in a safe and loving environment.I highly recommend Stacey for exceptional care, grooming, and boarding for any dog owner looking for a one-stop-shop for their furry friend's needs. Her grooming waitlist speaks for itself!

Service was good considering there was only one person on. Pumpkin spice latte was also delicious!
Definitely a good spot to stop!

Gherkin's Sandwich Shop
171 7th St, MontaraWent for their breakfast sandwich and got the Backseat Driver. If you’re going with another person, I would just get 1 sandwich since they’re filled to the brim with toppings. I almost couldn’t finish it by myself and I was starving. The sandwich was really good! Warm, tasty, and very filling. Will come here again whenever I’m in the area.

La Costanera
260 Capistrano Rd, Half Moon BayWe like Peruvian food and thus food was amazing. We had grilled ups (octopus), empanadas with mushrooms and kale and a delicious cold, finely chopped chicken salad on top of a half an avocado with a tasty sauce. We each enjoyed a signature cocktail before dinner. For dessert we shared a yummy chocolate lava cake and an espresso martini. Michael, our waiter, was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great descriptions about each dish. He spaced out each dish delivery so we never felt rushed. The decor was fascinating. Pillars were painted with graphic Peruvian hillside scenes. Also scattered throughout were artful displays and driftwood and fishing buoys reminding you that you’re at Pillsr Point Marina. We would definitely return next time we visit the area.
