“In a world of supermarkets, I love a corner neighborhood market. Great selection of snacks, drinks, candy, and grocery items. Went for the cheessteaks . Have to say, for the little corner shop, they were pretty good! They make them fresh, call ahead if you don't want to wait.”

“I was at the park for a walk and needed to refuel. Was I was just going to stop in to Subway but couldn't figure me it, lol. I drive by Marina Market and saw the sign for sandwiches so went in. I had a Turkey and pepper jack on sliced sour dough... excellent! Hand built and did not skimp on the ingredients. Tasty and fresh!!”

“Not a whole lot that's worth stopping for in Martinez except for the Buon Aroma Deli. I was helping out my pal Patch Garibaldi lay out the Caromneedles for his new Higgins-Popstarter and he said he'd spring for lunch. Well! As long as it's Buon Aroma, I'm all in!5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆”

“Being from out of town and looking for a specific grocery item, we called Nob Hill Foods asking if the item was sold there. The gentleman was confident it was sold here. He was so polite and well spoken. Additionally, he asked if he could check the shelf to make sure the item was in stock. I am over-the-moon impressed with this type of customer service. I’ve found telephone customer service to be less than welcoming in our general society practices. Thank you Nob Hill!”

“It's a great place to shop... but because of people who shoplift, it makes hard for other people who don't because alot of things are locked up and there is usually only one person with a key on the sales floor so most the time you have to wait.”

“I enjoyed going to safeway each Store is clean and the merchandise is laid out. Very well the only thing I can say is. It's a tad bit pricey but you get what you pay for hopefully. You have a card for the store so you can get the deals”

“I recently came in here looking for soemthing to bake cookies with my daughter for school. They had everything I was looking for. When I had some questions for one of the people working here, I feel they went out of their way to help me with my concerns. They've always had good prices, I do try and avoid walmart whenever possible though as they can be busy a lot”

“Wow, I have never seen this sampler variety of buttercream-ed cakes at any other Safeway stores besides the Martinez one. At $15.99, this really wasn't a bad deal. It came with 4 flavors: chocolate, caramel, red velvet and carrot cakes, all divided equally into 4 quarters. I especially liked the caramel cake. The buttercream was infused with caramel sweetness, but it wasn't too heavy or overly sweet. The sponge was caramel-y as well. The chocolate cake came close as the second best. I enjoyed the chocolate richness that it provided. Each bite was packed with deep chocolate flavor. I loved it. The red velvet was not bad, but the sponge was kinda lacking in flavor, and the buttercream was definitely cheesecake but it wasn't a really good one. I didn't get to try the carrot cake. I was full after trying the other 3. The calorie count of these cakes really shocked me. The caramel quarter was 1320 calories. The chocolate quarter was 1200, the red velvet quarter was 1280, and the carrot cake quarter was 1600! So, the whole entire cake was 54000 calories!!!! GASP! It was scary, but the cakes were good.”
