“Reviewing based on experience coming in with my son who was looking for a new pair of shoes. Zero, the owner, was there and was very nice to us. Explained to my son how to look up what they had in his size and helped him try on a pair he was interested in. Gave him a fair price on them when he decided he wanted that pair and was just nice to deal with the whole time we were there. Nice to see my son excited to get something nice he's saved up for. I had Pro Wings and LA Gear and stuff like that growing up so I don't mind looking at some of the Retro pairs of shows I remember growing up that I couldn't afford. Nice shop, been there a long time, and they have a lot more inventory than you'd think just peeking in from outside. Glad we walked over to check the place out and will be back again.”

“This is the type of place where you never know what you're going to get, so give yourself plenty of time to explore and try things on. It's a small place, but it really packs in a lot of clothes, accessories, etc. When I went I easily found parking across the street from the church, it's a small space next to the church and parking lot for what I believe is a public library. There was a clothing rack outside, but the door is usually locked even during business hours, unfortunately because theft has been an issue. The woman who I assumed owned the business was very friendly and helpful. There is a rack that is covered with cloth, she explained this is a special rack where the clothes are very delicate, so she has to size people before they try clothes from this rack on because they can break easily. I've never had somebody size me before trying on their clothes, but it didn't offend me and I get it. Vintage clothing sizes are literally all over the place and for a small business I imagine expenses can easily add up if people are accidentally ruining your most expensive and delicate pieces.”

“I can't remember the last time I experienced this type of customer service from a value perspective. I feel like the sales rep was almost reading my mind! I was looking to purchase some Navy Sk8-Hi vans to replace my old ones. While I was trying them on, he was giving me great tips on how to maximize their use. (He recommended stretchy laces to put them on quicker - among other advice) I could tell he cared more about helping the customer than his own bottom-line. So I had to give Sage a shout out”

The staff here was very patient and thorough with explaining their different styles of pants, the expected fit, the wear, and so forth. “I organized a holiday fun activity for my work team and it was the BEST ACTIVITY EVER. Everyone enjoyed it, our instructors were fantastic- great attitude, kind, super helpful, and patient. Even my teammates who were nervous about having to do a hands-on creative activity loved the process and made their shoes their own. We were there for 5hrs but the time flew by! Excited to do this workshop again and bring new folks and a different pair of all white sneakers to customize.”

I tried on maybe 8 total dresses and did not feel rushed. Always interested in what shoes and colorways his customers are looking for so that he can try to make it happen in the future. His tech team could help to improve website to more accurately the stock at hand (especially if there are variations in the colorways due to the color dying process for each small batch, and offer rough ETA's of when shoes might come back in stock), but overall, LA's lucky to have Phil H. and the small business that he's put his heart and soul into.”

“We also stopped here at the Vans store during our Westwood/Beverly Hills adventure weekend. My girl love to wear Vans since its a type of Skater/Surf OC thing in our backyard. I wore vans too when i was a kid growing up. Stopped here and bought both of us a pair of new vans. I have not wore any in a very long time. We were happy with the customer service. “It's a $7.99 Shoe Store. They are just by the busy streets. You park and you shop. However, street parking is mostly full so you may need to park farther and walk there. The store attendants (or perhaps also the owners) are very helpful and friendly. It's a quite large store for a very busy street.”

“Had an amazing experience at this store. It is my birthday week and my brother and dad decided to pitch in for a gift. I decided on red wings since my brother has a pair of iron rangers. Me and my brother both went to the store together and Walter was the one who helped me buy my first pair. He was very informative helpful friendly and patient. We looked at various boots and he explained the pros and cons suggested proper sizing and overall knew everything there is needed to get a great pair of boots. I am so happy with my moc toes and i am grateful that Walter was the one who sold them to me. He even threw in a pair of red wing socks as it is tradition in the store.
