“Just came back from this gem of a store! I need a new pair work boots but they didn't have the specific model and color I wanted. The highly professional store owner suggested I visit a corporate store as they are a Mom and Pop Store and don't get the latest models as quickly! His honesty and putting my needs ahead of his profit, made me decide to wait and order it through his store. He brought several shoes for sizing and his excellent fitting advice made me leave the store with a big smile. This will be my store for all my work related footwear!”

“I organized a holiday fun activity for my work team and it was the BEST ACTIVITY EVER. Everyone enjoyed it, our instructors were fantastic- great attitude, kind, super helpful, and patient. Even my teammates who were nervous about having to do a hands-on creative activity loved the process and made their shoes their own. We were there for 5hrs but the time flew by! Excited to do this workshop again and bring new folks and a different pair of all white sneakers to customize.”

“Was in a pinch and needed steel toed EMT boots for my shift later in the day, and Workboots for U did not disappoint. They have an amazing selection of boots and are well stocked on sizes. None of the other places I called even had a single pair of boots in my size (women's 7.5). The guy working the desk was super helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. Not to mention so affordable! He even gave my sister and I a discount just for stopping by. 10/10 would recommend. This is the kind of business we should be supporting.”

I'm not interested in keeping up with all the current trends as I've seen most of them come and go in the past. I wouldn't call myself old but finding a nice shop that feels relevant with a good vibe in service is a breath of fresh air. “Lemon Frog Shop is an absolutely wonderful vintage store, and I highly recommend checking it out for any of my fellow vintage clothing lovers!! I've found so many incredible items there, and for excellent prices (especially by LA standards haha). The store's layout makes it extremely easy to shop efficiently- everything is organized by price range, item category (tops vs bottoms vs dresses vs accessories, etc), AND size, so it's very straightforward to find what you're looking for without having to dig through everything else! (but it's also still plenty easy to just browse/see what cool pieces you find if you don't have something more specific in mind). While the store itself and all the pieces there are fantastic, the biggest reason I wanted to write this review is the owner- you can tell how much passion has gone into this store just by interacting with her. She's very knowledgeable about her pieces, extremely helpful with any questions you might have or anything you might be looking for, and just super kind/friendly/a lovely person overall! She's truly made every one of my visits to Lemon Frog so far an above and beyond experience each time, and I'm definitely looking forward to going back again soon!!!”

“My wife and I came into today for some casual browsing. During our 20 minutes or so in the store, several employees came and kindly asked if we needed assistance. After a little while, I realized the store closed at 7 and it was several minutes past the hour. “After a couple weeks of breaking in my new shoes I wanted to leave a review. My feet are quite small and wide so ready to wear shoe brands are pretty much impossible for me unless they are clogs/slip-ons. Reggie made me this custom pair of leather Chukka boots, and I am really happy with them. The leather is sturdy but breaking in well, and the softer leather lining is a nice touch. Fitting was thorough, and it only took 6 weeks to complete the shoe. Reggie will stand behind his work but in my case the fit was good right away and no adjustments needed.
This was my first custom shoe so pricing seems high at first, but he is squarely in between the more high fashion bespoke shoe makers (5k+) and and the semi-custom Made-to-order options (~1k). There aren't many people doing custom shoes any more in LA. I will note he doesn't keep the lasts permanently like some bespoke shoemakers, so repeat orders would have to be done sooner to get a bit of a discount.”

After my shopping spree, I wandered around the Arts District and discovered numerous fantastic dining options.Overall, I give this store a solid 10/10 for its perfect location, exceptional options, and wonderful shopping experience.
