The price for gas was ok since all other stations are more these days so I would say comparable.”

“My family used to go to Joe Reitmeir (and his son Jeff) for my mom’s Mercedes and my dad’s BMW in the 90s and the early 2000s. I haven’t gone there till just recently as I just purchased an older Porsche. I am happy to see Jeff has taken over from Joe and he is exceptional! He has his son Curtis working there too. They were courteous and helped me with my Pre-Purchase Inspection which was pricey but they did a good job. I’d go here again.”

“I would like to thank Greg and his team at Los Altos Gas Auto Care on El Camino for helping my mom and I on two different occasions. The first time, my mom’s friend’s car rear taillight went out, I looked for a shop nearby and it showed this one right across the street from her home. We dropped by hoping we could fix it the same day and Greg was able to care of it within 15 minutes and we were on our way.The second time was just recently when I tried to turn my car on and it would just shut off on me. Due to personal health issues I haven’t driven my car in a very long time and knowing that the shop that I usually take my car to is too far from here caused me enormous amount of stress. I thought about this shop immediately but I was almost 100% sure that they would turn me away because not everyone agrees to work on this specific make. I decided to try my luck anyway and to my surprise they agreed to do a diagnostic and oil change. I scheduled an appointment the following day, my car was ready within a couple of hours with no issues whatsoever.One very important thing I want to point out:As a woman, I greatly appreciate and respect them for their honesty and not taking advantage me as many shops usually try to do. I would have paid any price to fix my car at this point but I have never seen service prices like the ones here. I almost feel guilty and undercharged, in my opinion, I should have paid double the amount for their service and care. Nevertheless, my car feels great, drives very smoothly with no issues. I am looking forward to coming back to get my brakes replaced soon. Highly recommend!”

“Skips was beyond amazing for me. I have an old 97’ japanese sedan with some suspicious noises coming from the front end. Decided to go in for a diagnosis to confirm my suspicion that it was a wheel bearing before ordering the part. Staff was incredibly friendly and good at communicating. I was able to get a next-day appointment and they didn’t charge me for the diagnosis! Incredibly hard to beat their professionalism and service. Thank you again skips for your time and energy. Quote for one wheel bearing was 1000 but considering how high their property taxes probably are and the cost of living here it’s hard to blame em’. Skips is the best!”

“One of the better gas stations we have locally. Prices for gas are typically quite high in the Mountain View/Los Altos area. Most of the time this station, in downtown Los Altos, will be at least a dime less than other local stations. I try to use a route that goes by there on my way to the freeway when I know I need gas. Nice snack shop. Friendly staff. I have never used their auto repair services so I can't speak to that. We all gotta gas up.....I'll see ya soon 76!”
