“We rented a car from Marathon Car Rental this past week. The staff was very friendly and accommodating at the time of pick up, the things could not have gone smoother! We were even given a phone charging cord when I mentioned that the ones we had on hand were not USB.Accommodations were made for us to return the car outside of their hours of operation with no issues at all. They insisted we return it later as it would be more convenient for us.But what really made this experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ is the way they handled my call for help after-hours.Half way to LAX we realized that my daughter has left her wallet in the car. I was panicked. The car was locked, we no longer had the keys. No ID, no flying….Uber driver turned around to go back to Marathon Car Rental as I dialed them, not expecting a response. To my surprise, they picked up the phone on Saturday night!!Dave was on his way to unlock the car and let us look for the wallet. We were back on the road to LAX with time to spare.So if you would like to rent a vehicle from a business that cares, Marathon Rental Car is for you!”

“I highly recommend renting a car here! The cars are all very nice and the rates are quite reasonable. Dave, the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. I rented a car for a month from him 10 years ago when I first moved to LA. A couple of years ago my mom rented from him for 6 weeks and he remembered me. She rented again from him recently and at one point couldn’t figure out how to unlock the steering wheel so Dave drove across town to unlock it for her. Dave even helped me get my own car fixed when I was in a recent accident. Great place!”

He noticed a line was forming from everyone who'd just arrived from the shuttle and he came straight to me and helped expedite the process significantly. He walked me out to my car and let me pick the model from what was available. I'll always remember his friendliness and charm! I found it so welcoming. The car return went smoothly and I was able to get to the airport with no hassle.”

It's so nice to know that there are still people out there in this world that want to help you in any way that they can. I called because I had a concern for a rental car for my fathers rental car and she assured me that she would do everything she could to help. To the point where she even told me that even though she will be at another location the next day, to call her there if I had anymore questions. “This was my first rental in L. A., the process was simple. After a brief moment at the counter, we were given free rein of the lot. We picked a car based on where we were headed and what we were doing. Good and bad of it: car was fine, it was clean and in good working condition. I have rented two different Toyota cars and I will not be doing it again. I wouldn’t even buy them now. The ‘car play’ radio system is stupid. It doesn’t work. We were connected to it and it would reset completely…repeatedly…almost always when it was needed the most. (Not National’s fault, so I give 5 stars for them and their service).”

“My first but not the last time going here.I had a very positive experience renting a car on short notice because my personal car had to stay in the auto shop over night. I was picked up at the Honda service dealer and got a rental the same day for a compact suv. The rental agent was very knowledgeable and customer service was great.The other rental agent who picked me up was cordial and informative as well. At the last moment, when my car was ready for pick up just 7 minutes before closing, they offered me a ride back to theHonda service center to get my car before it stayed overnight. The rental agents would have to stay a little over their schedule shift yo accommodate me. This was service above and beyond my expectation as I felt that I would have most likely have to call Uber to help me out.”

The representative, Keon was so friendly and genuinely concerned for our safety when we picked up the rental replacement vehicle that the insurance company approved. “Car was clean but though a new Mazda CX-30 had serious design problem which made driving through the dark desert at night with heavy truck traffic distracting and very annoying. Instrument panel reflects a mirror image on tinted side window and additionally position of side mirror closer to one’s face than other cars I’ve driven so when side traffic alert occurs bright amber light appears in the same area of instrument reflection adding to the visual mess!”

“My car was in the shop after a minor accident and I needed to rent a car. I was referred here by Marina Auto Body and it was a great referral. The rental rate was reasonable (less than commuting by Uber), the car was clean and in good condition, and the service was fast and courteous. When I called to extend the rental, the phone was answered immediately and the process was done quickly. Drop off was similarly fast and easy.
