“At the end of what was personally an extremely difficult 2023, it became obvious that not one, but both of my dogs had reached the end of their 16 year old lives. My morkie had been in CLL remission for several months, but she suffered a massive seizure on Christmas eve and then several smaller ones resulting in fluid collecting in her lungs. My maltipoo's pain could no longer be controlled, he refused to eat or drink, and was constantly panicked over his "little sister's" struggle to breath. It was absolutely devastating and there was nothing left their vet could do. Because my dogs were always so nervous and scared at their vet's office, I made the decision that there last moments would be spent at home. I contacted more companies than I can remember. I wanted to make sure all three of us would be comfortable with the person coming into our home and was understanding of my need to honor their lives. I chose Dr. Kristi Freeman at Graceful Departure because she was knowledgeable, kind, used fear-free practices, extremely experienced, and genuinely cared. When Dr Kristi walked in the door, my timid little morkie went right to her. I couldn't have chose a better person. She was equally professional and compassionate while I cried my eyes out during their last minutes. She honored my dogs and my unusual requests of being able to wrap them and have them transported in the casket I made for them. She took the time to understand us and was a comforting presence. She made sure I was ready to proceed at each step and answered every little question I had. It was a terrible day that couldn't have gone any better. I wouldn't bother contacting anyone but Graceful Departure if your pet is in need of end of life services. Prices are *very* competitive while services are unmatched. There are no surprises and their partnership with Angel Paws for aftercare services make the entire process much smoother so that healing can begin much quicker. Thank you, Dr Kristi.”

“I have a long coat chihuahua that has had skin issues for almost 3 of his 4 years of life. I have taken him to 4 different skin vets. I came to Dermatology for Animals as my last resort. I let the doctor know that this was my last shot before euthanasia. My poor dog had no hair left and had a case of mange starting. Dr. Aniya said she could definitely help and she did!! We have a teacup Pomeranian and we have been to many different places in San Diego. Doctor Nagra is the first vet we met in the last 7 years, who truly cares. He is extremely knowledgeable, all his staff is so nice, caring and accommodating! He took an hour from his time, just to talk to us and to refer us to the best specialist!
I highly recommend him and this amazing cabinet and recommend it to anyone who really cares about their pet.

“I was skeptic taking my dog to a chain veterinarian, but boy, am I glad I did..
People were super friendly, and you can tell that they honestly love what they do
My dog developed an infection that needed serious medication. One week later, he is happy and back to his old self thanks to his new vet, Sara Thelen ... I can't say enough nice things about her... she let me know all my options for taking care of my dog, including having to write a prescription to go somewhere else for cheaper medication if I need it
I did not as their prices are very reasonable
100% I am done with the local Boutique veterinarians who seemed to prioritize money over beloved pets
Anyway highly recommended”

“I have brought a few of my dogs here and have always received great care. Of course its a little pricey but that’s to be expected. Tonight my dog had an allergic reaction swelled up pretty bad in his face and broke out in hives once he was ready to be seen the swelling went down and he looked better they still looked at him gave us some advice and sent us in our way. They were exceptional and calmed my nerves!”
