“Service is unparralled here and price is comparable to the big box hardware stores. I'll come here any day over the big box places. I like it here, It just feels good coming in here. Employees seem happy and so do the customers. I live down the street and pop in when I've needed a quick sprinkler head or pvc piece, I've even bought bigger items like vanities, and faucets, and a lot of outdoor plants and always gotten really good customer service.”
“Everyone that works at either locations are super friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of mouldings. I found their website to be easy to navigate. I found the part numbers and simply called in my order and was texted a payment link to pay through my phone. Everything I needed was in stock at their El Cajon location and they help you load everything into your truck. I even had to do a return because I decided on a slightly different size moulding and the return/exchange process was easy.”
“Francisco has delivered two tons of really nice river rock. We liked the first batch so much that we bought another.
He helped us determine which size and colors would work best and kept in touch throughout the process. The rock was delivered on time, placed exactly where we asked, and was in a closed bag which prevented dust and mess.

“I wish I had discovered Discount Glass and Mirror earlier. I wasted a bunch of time with two other companies that never got back to me with quotes after I visited their storefronts in person with a template for my coffee table top. By the time I found DGM, it was too late for me to get my tabletop by the time I wanted it.
When I went to Discount Glass and Mirror, the friendly and helpful receptionist got a sales rep out to meet with me right away. She looked at my oval template and let me know my options. I could have my tabletop cut on premises, but it wouldn't have the nice finished edges it would have if the distributor did it. Even though it meant I wouldn't have the glass when I wanted it, I went with the nicer, finished edges. She said she would call me back with a quote either that day (Friday) or on Monday. Unlike the other places I visited, she called me back right away with a quote. The price was reasonable and I told them to go ahead.
They did try to get it to me in time, but it just didn't work out, which was not their fault. They didn't have enough lead time thanks to the other companies that wasted my time. When I picked up the glass, it was exactly what I wanted and looks great on my table.
Although the other two smaller shops weren't interested in my business (but couldn't be bothered to tell me that), the much larger DGM treated my tiny little consumer order like it was just as important as their larger orders from contractors and such. They were easy to work with and very friendly and helpful. I would 100 percent recommend them and I'm happy that next time I need glass I have a reliable place to go.”

“Im not a fan of dixieline any more. Had bad experience with door and window orders in past. Covid came and they price gouged. Strong ties were more than 2x home depo and the norm. But this place has good inventory and good helpful staff. Just price compare before u hit the counter to check out. They might be gettin ya.”
“I love this place and come here for all my tool needs. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My only recommendation is to tell the young white man who helps in the aisles not to refer to the customers he's helping as "the boy behind me." It comes off as incredibly arrogant and will upset the wrong person if he uses that term.”

“We found a great Christmas tree at Home Depot. Service from the guys working the tree area was superb. The guy cut the trunk so it was straight and trimmed the bottom branches. He put it ito the orange netting and even offered to load it for us. No need, I was perfectly capable of tossing it into the back of the pick-up. They had Noble firs and Douglas firs that I saw in a variety of sizes. We scored a 6'-7' foot Douglas for $54.98.”
“I don't know why people are giving this place bad reviews. I've always came here and got my products cheaper than any other place in San Diego. I understand they might not have the best customer service all the time but I've always had good experience here. I recently came here to buy concrete powder release and this kid Austin helped me. He was very nice and knowledgeable. He went out of his way, showed me different colors and suggested what would work best. They need more guys like him.”

“I was in the carpet section looking for something for my front yard for a birthday party. Charlie (or Charles I forgot which was his name was) was really great and genuinely cares for his customers. I came looking for a specific item but they didn't have it. He tried calling other stores but they were taking too long and took his time to give me better options. Great guy. He's the reason why this place gets 5 stars. Also, the lady at the cashier in the garden section was very nice and genuine. This place has some really great staff.”
