Kruse Feed & Supply
2300 E Lambert Rd, La HabraHand carry and efficient service. Wes recommended an appropriate solution for a reasonable price. Wait time is not long for this busy feed store. Met Yvonne on a previous visit.
Notice the little chicks---so adorable and no surprise that they are all female. They are "sexed" at the hatchery per Wes (who I realized is the owner) and a Cal Poly Pomona graduate.
Not pretentious. Simple feed and supplies. They deliver direct too as I was leaving I spotted a truck full of hay pull out. Great help today---heavy bag. Prices are fair. Thanks to Wes & Shannon Alcott!

Puppy Place Grooming
2409 W Whittier Blvd, La HabraI just recently moved to La Habra and I was in need of finding a new dog groomer. After searching high and low, I found the Puppy Place Grooming! I was shocked to see that this business had nothing but 5 stars and good reviews so I decided to take a chance and I'm happy to say... THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!! I told him how my dog was an anxious dog and she couldn't be kenneled. They were understanding and reassured that they would not place her in the kennel. They knew I was nervous myself because my dog has had terrible experiences in the past, and they kept reassuring me not to worry. When I dropped her off they told me they would start on her asap and let me know 10-15 minutes prior to her being ready so I can be there and they did just that!!!!! I am so happy, and my dog looks amazing!!!!! I want to note - Jose is the sweetest person ever. When we dropped our dog off he was so sweet and loving towards her and I knew she was in good hands! I will be back when she is due for a bath/haircut. Puppy Place is the best!!!!!!!

Doggies Bath & Groom
1951 E La Habra Blvd A-2, La HabraI am so grateful to Jackie and her team here they took great care of my baby girl Sophia. She is no longer here so it is important for me to leave Doggies an amazing review in her honor. Jackie and the team took care of her for her entire 12 year old little life. She was a fluffy cream Pomeranian mix who needed her gorgeous locks of hair trimmed quite often. Jackie was able to accommodate us when we’d ask if she can take care of Sophia before any of the other doggies would arrive for the day because my baby was special she suffered from epilepsy so we didn’t want her to get too nervous and jackie was kind and understanding and always gave her back with the cutest handkerchief. Thank you for everything Doggies ?

Pampered Paws La Habra
572 W La Habra Blvd, La HabraTracy was great with my dog, Luna! She was very nervous and fearful since it was her first time to try daycare and boarding. It took us two visits (prior to the actual day of boarding) to get our dog accustomed to the environment and she eventually warmed up and was able to enjoy playtime with the other pets there! Will definitely come back with Luna when we're in town. Tracy is very knowledgeable about dogs. Highly recommend this place. They also have a live feed where you can watch your dogs on video during daycare!

1301 S Beach Blvd F, La HabraIf you want to properly check your dog's health, go to this place. We don't regret taking our child to see this teacher. Still, we decided to take comfort in the fact that we did what we could. Sir, General fell into a deep sleep with a smiling face on Monday morning. My heart aches even more because he was smiling until the end. We would like to thank you so much for explaining it to us in an easy-to-understand manner. This is an additional review. I am very touched and grateful for the handwriting and heart of each and every card that was sent to General. Thank you for your hard work doing the inspection for the general. Thank you again.

La Habra Animal Hospital
741 W La Habra Blvd, La HabraI have used this business a couple of times and I wish I didn't have to but glad they are open 24 hours bc when it's after 4/5pm and you can't find any vet clinic open let me tell you they come in handy. We've have dog emergencies here and 1 was fatal but unfortunately that was the best and most difficult decision we had to make. They are thorough, a bit pricey but what After hours clinic isn't now-a-days. The staff is ok some comments made during some customers arrival were somewhat negative and unwelcoming and unnecessary (I felt) because you are there obviously due to a situation going on with your pet. I continue and will continue to come here bc of their hours. I had my 2 year old toddler with me and am appreciative they do have a small play area for kids with some toys, and the reception gave her some crayons and book and that really helped bc we were there 4 hours. Over all I give them a 4 star.

Ruby Red's BBQ
1841 W Imperial Hwy, La HabraWe've been driving past Ruby Reds for a while now and after a long day at the baseball field we decided to give it a try. We decided on the plater for two. The brisket was delicious, the very large chicken breast was so tender and juicy. The pull pork and ribs were good as well. We especially enjoyed the sauces they were all super yummy with a little bite. And... lastly the collard greens were the best that we've had in a long time. We will be back for the beef ribs (only available Friday and Saturday) and the creamed corn.

Akafuji
1450 S Harbor Blvd, La Habra(4.5) I've been wanting to try Omakase for a while, and this spot lived up to the hype based on the reviews. I made a reservation in advance and was seated within five minutes of arriving. The interior is modern and cozy, featuring a large central bar for seating and a few tables on the side. One thing I noticed was the atmosphere: lively yet peaceful. Great spot for you and your partner. I chose the premium luxury Omakase, which included 16 pieces of premium sushi, 4 pieces of premium sashimi, house salad and miso soup, monkfish liver tasting, scallop tasting, tempura, clam soup, oyster, Japanese egg custard, and ice cream. At $95, it was an incredible deal! The variety of exotic, high-quality fish really made it worth the price. Each dish was delicious in its own unique way. It was a fun experience tasting the different textures and sensations of each fish. Some of my favorite bites were the raw sweet shrimp, otoro, uni, and oyster. The otoro was divine--it melted in my mouth, leaving a rich, luscious, and oily texture from the fat. Absolutely sensational! They also had truffle ponzu soy sauce that you could drizzle on top, it's really good! A few things could have made the experience even better. At times, it was hard to hear the chef announce the name of the fish, so a printed list of the courses in order would have been helpful. There were a few fish I wished I knew more about. Also, some bites had a bit too much wasabi for my taste, causing that strong burning sensation through my nose. If you prefer less wasabi, it might be worth mentioning to the chef in advance. I really liked how the last piece of sushi they let you decide what you want. There were serval fish that had $5-$8 up charge due to its luxury. But, I chose sweet shrimp as my last bite and it was great. The dessert you have the option for lychee or yuzu icecream. The lychee really was the perfect ending. It also came with the moist Japanese egg bread that they make in house! Overall, this was an amazing value and a delicious Omakase experience!

Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders
1452 S Harbor Blvd, La HabraFriendly neighborhood coffee shop with lots of open seating and friendly staff. Came here twice in one week: once with the intention of coming and trying Bodhi and a second time because my family ate at an establishment next door. On our first visit, we had an extremely kind barista that walked us through their somewhat overwhelming menu (all standard coffee shop drinks but a plethora of syrups and flavorings). I enjoy the sugar cookie iced latte that Starbucks has during their holiday season, but have tried the sugar cookie syrup at Bodhi before and found it to be too almond flavored. After seeing another review with someone saying that they liked the Madeline latte, I went with the intention of trying that. I asked the barista id it was almond-y and she said it can be, then recommended that I try it with 2 pumps of vanilla and 2 pumps of Madeline syrup. She also told me that she was willing to remake a drink that I liked if it wasn't to my liking. Unfortunately the Madeleine latte was still too almond-y for me, and the barista quickly made me a new caramel swirl latte (basically a caramel macchiato) free off charge and let me switch out my drink. I really appreciated this as it allowed me to step out of my comfort zone without the extra risk. On my second visit a couple days later I came to get the churro latte that was on the menu since I felt quite overwhelmed. I ordered a large churro latte and the barista let me know that it had four espresso shots in it which extra caffeine is alway fine with me. I then proceeded to pay and wondered why my order total came out to nearly $10 despite my similar order only costing ~$7 days before. When I looked at my receipt I saw that I was charged for a 32 ounce latte, which made more sense. I wasn't necessarily upset, but just confused as most standard large coffees are around 20-24 ounces. I feel like maybe a 32 should be considered an XL? It's also not a size posted on the menu board (12-16-20 oz), but rather a cup display off to the side of the cash register. The latte was pretty standard but the service was quick. Bodhi leaf is not a place that I would be going out of my way to go to, but a place I would definitely stop by if I'm in the same plaza! PRO TIP: make sure that you ask them how many ounces each size is/confirm the ounce-age you're ordering before paying.

Cuzco's Peruvian Restaurant
1458 S Harbor Blvd, La HabraWe've visited this plaza many times, but my husband and I finally decided to try Cuzco's Authentic Peruvian Cuisine, especially since I've been craving Lomo Saltado! (Just a heads-up: the parking lot is small, so finding a spot can be a bit challenging.) We ordered the Lomo Saltado and Tallarines Saltados de Lomo, and they absolutely hit the spot. The beef was incredibly tender, and the fries that came with the Lomo were perfectly crispy--not soggy at all! The green sauce had a nice kick, though I wish it were a tad milder. Service was top-notch; our server checked on us frequently, ensuring we had everything we needed. The prices were reasonable for the generous portions. One small complaint: the door needs to be fixed--every time someone went in or out, it made a loud bang! We arrived around 6 PM when it was relatively quiet, but by the time we left, the place had filled up. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to come back!
