Coconut Jelly King 皇阿玛椰子冻 (Rowland Heights)
18349 Colima Rd, Rowland HeightsAfter our lunch meal at Tofu Bean Koren BBQ in Rowland Heights, we wanted to go have dessert. One of my youngest brother checked the surrounding area and found Coconut Jelly King just a block away. We drove on over to check them out. This was my first time visit. They specialize in coconut jelly with various topping in a jar. They also sell a few other specialty items such as durian crepe, waffle pancake, mango pomelo sago, young coconut, etc. I ended up ordering several different topping flavors... red bean, hazelnut chocolate, mango, taro, swallow nest, black sesame walnut, single coconut jelly. They come in a pretty good size glass jar that can be reused at home for storage. I had to try their durian crepe as I love durian anything LOL. I must have my king of fruits! And I wanted to try the mango pomelo sago.Single coconut jelly was light and not too sweet... it was very good! Mango pomelo sago was okay... mango pieces were not sweet and tapioca was a little firmer than I would have liked. Durian crepe was good, however, the durian was not smooth and custardy.Staff was okay. Interior was cute... it had some interesting wall art. Tables, chairs, and bar stools are available for seating. They have one all gender restroom in the back room. Prices are a tad high depending on the item. But if you haven't tried them, at least try them once. If it's worth it, then do splurge a little. You only live once. Btw, they also have a location in Alhambra if Rowland Heights is not close to you. I'll have to check out that location since I'm out that way most of the time. See you there!

Tacos el Güero
19772 Colima Rd, Rowland HeightsMy friend and I were craving tacos tonight and found this taco truck. We got 5 asada tacos for ~ $11. The meat was flavorful and came with a side of grilled onions, fresh cucumbers & radishes. Fast service and very clean! Located next to a plaza so ample parking spaces. Can't wait to come back another time to try other items! :)

7 Leaves Cafe Rowland Heights
1627 Fullerton Rd, Rowland HeightsOverall, pretty standard 7L. My gripe is the location is pretty funky overall. It sits close to a busy street and is a mostly pickup and drive-thru location even though there is an outside patio seating area (next to the street) and some seats inside on the side where you initially enter for drive-thru and is an elongated hall.I'm not sure if anyone would like to do work or study at this location, but it's okay if you're going for the drive-thru or you're on foot/walking.

Sosom Ramen by Mister Bossam
18162 Colima Rd, Rowland HeightsYesterday was Good Friday. My family and I had originally planned to go have dinner at Grab Crab, but the wait was outrageously long. I believe that when I checked in, we had 18 people ahead of us. So, instead, we decided to go Sosom Ramen Bar & Bossam. Luckily, when we got here, it was nice and empty. We got seated right away, and the order was taken really quickly. This was our second time coming to this place. The first time we came, I dont remember much, but we decided to come back anyway. This round was much rememberable. The waiter was on top of everything, making sure we had refills on our water and gave us extra sides. He checked up on us multiple times to see if we needed anything else. Honestly, the food was just perfect. Like 10 min into our dinner, the restaurant started to fill up. The vibe with the customer everyone enjoyed their food. If you want to try Bossam, this is going to place. I don't think they will let you down. Meat is super tender, and the sauce is yummy. Just writing this makes my mouth water.

MATCHA CAFE MAIKO
18180 Colima Rd, Rowland HeightsBeen wanting to try this cute little cafè since I’m a fan of all things matcha flavored. Photos and reviews of the place seemed enticing. Visited around 9PM after dinner at one of the other restaurants in the plaza. There was a long line but the wait time after ordering wasn’t bad at all. We received our order in less than 5 mins. There was not much room inside the cafè to chill or “dine in” but there were a few tables and chairs outside of the café that are shared with other surrounding establishments nearby. My husband and I tried the Matcha with Matcha Soft serve Float and Hojicha with a Vanilla + Matcha Swirl soft serve Float. They gave us a generous portion of the soft serve. The Matcha soft serve and Float were perfect. Nice rich matcha flavor. The Vanilla+Matcha swirl was nice and sweet, which is what I would recommend for those who may not be used to the deep earthy strong matcha flavor since it was a nice sweet balance with the vanilla. However the Hojicha was very watered down so I didn’t really appreciate the flavor at all. Perhaps it can be attributed to the large amount of ice that they put into the cup for the “float” effect. Would probably only come back for the soft serve rather than the drink versions. A friend of ours tried the hot matcha version (not pictured) but she said it tasted more earthy like grass as compared to the iced matcha.

Cocohodo
18720 Colima Rd, Rowland HeightsCute and clean cafe. Always walked past it growing up but tried it out because we had some time to kill. The owner was so kind and I wish her prosperity for her business. I got a small bag of the walnut pastries and iced coffee. The pastry was fresh and hot. Very delicious as a quick breakfast. The ice coffee was very refreshing. Light, crisp, and clean caffeine that gets you awake.

Dean Noodles
17490 Colima Rd Ste B, Rowland HeightsFood at Dean noodle is great. Having a vegan diet makes selection scarce from time to time, but they can accommodate. Ask for options without meat or other byproducts, and rest assured that they will help.
