“DO NOT BUY MIXERS HERESo, the alcohol is fairly priced. The store is decently clean but very small. The only reason I am giving this place 4 stars is because I got charged damn near $20 for 2 32 oz orange juices and a 12 oz bottle of guava juice smh. They don’t have the price tag on any of the products so you won’t know the price of any of the mixers until it’s time to pay for everything. I understand the marketing behind, it just feels kinda underhanded. My advice, make sure you ask for the price of any mixer before he rings you up to give you your total. I won’t be back here unless I’m in a hurry or I know for a fact I have mixers at home. But if you just need a straight bottle of anything this place will be fast and efficient.”

The atmosphere was gorgeous, filled with flowers not billed to us. Marietta, the co-owner, was totally easy to work with, more than fullfilled our expectations. “This legendary market is amazing. The history alone is the reason we stopped by the first time. We have been several times. Each time, we stare in awe knowing the greatness that once passed through the doors. I originally found this market in search of Jim Morrison's footsteps. Stepping into the market is like traveling back in time. We have also walked around the corner of the market to see "Love Street". The last time we were in the area, we desperately needed a pen to sign a card. This market was not the most convenient location but we stopped by here because it is so cool. We did buy some additional items like bottled drinks, chips and cookies. We love looking at the black and white photos. I just feel like it is a really special place and it was something really magical. I think there is something for everyone here. Snacks, goodies, history and a good little deli for getting food to go. They have cute little tables outside to eat your sandwiches as well. We don't live in the area but we stop by as often as we can. Each time we are delighted to see this fascinating little market where we have always been treated kindly by the sweet staff.”

“Before I launched my Friday night beer tastings, I'd pass by Bill's and inwardly scoff at the claim painted on the side of the building--"largest beer selection in Atwater"--yeah, whatever. But THEN...I went in! I've been excited by the amazing expansion of interesting beers these days, and Bill's has a great rotating selection. I especially appreciate the variety of single beers--I like to taste before committing to a 4-pack, much less a 6! And even though there's always a plethora of IPAs (not my fave), there are also sours, Amber/red/brown/blond/fruited ales, pilsners, porters, stouts...you get the idea. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and I seldom leave empty handed. My Friday night tasters are happy indeed!”

“I was there today at 12:50pm. I bought a money order and paid with four 100 dollar bills. Everything seemed good until I was in my car writing info on the money order when he clerk came out and said one of the bills was fake. I went back in and saw that the bill shown by him was fake. I was a retail store manager for over 10 years and know how to spot a fake money when I actually check. The only thing is that I tend not to check anything that I get directly from a bank. I quit my job prior to Covid so any 100 dollar bill I have now is from Chase. Now here is the what gets me frustrated. He showed the surveillance video of the whole transaction. I saw that he kept my 4 bills separate from the rest of the store money until the last minute. He took one bill that he was comparing my bills with from the drawer, turned around, and walked out to the parking lot to talk to me, presumably to show the difference between the two? I watched the video till this point and decided this guy is good and I must have had the fake bill all along. If that one bill he took from the store drawer was the problem why would it be in the drawer in the first place? He seemed to me a straight forward person. I paid him the 100 then came home fuming to call Chase. The Chase customer pointed out something that I hadn't thought of. That I've always used an ATM, never went to a teller to withdraw money. An ATM machine makes a mistake. What is going on. ANYWAY. This isn't to blame the store.Everyone at this store always has been friendly and helpful. I get no nonsense straight honesty vibe every time I visit this store. The store is well organized and very clean. The clerk was very calm, polite, and accommodating the whole time I was there. I really appreciated that he didn't get emotional.”

“I had been seeing this place all over the internet and decided to try them when I came to visit! It is a nice liquor store, they have a ton of baggies to choose from. I loved this sour watermelon one, 10/10. You also get a cup of ice with your baggie purchase. I bought 5 baggies for a total of $65, which I don't think is too bad given the price of one drink in the area. The workers were nice.”
