“Dude... I love Cole Hardware lol. Coming to this store is like going treasure hunting. Sometimes I'll wander in with no agenda and no plans - and then find something useful, exciting, or random to buy. Recently I got a "stubby hammer" - a mini adorable hammer. I also come here for gardening supplies. They have lots of soils in the back. The best part of cole hardware is the staff. They're knowledgeable and friendly. And not pushy! The staff doesn't hard sell you. One gentleman helped me find tools for de-weeding my garden. He suggested the cheaper option, because he said it did a great job. I've also gotten great tips for gardening. Don't let my photos dissuade you - go check it out!”

“Great service as usual on this rainy 18 Dec 2023 afternoon. All your sand bag and flood mgt needs are here. A few sizes of the Quick Dam products. 50# bags of playground sand. You can grab a tag and just one bag then tell the cashier the total number of bags you want and someone will bring all those 50# bags out to your car/truck for you and load them in. They also have sand bags if you need those too. Hello El Niño Winter!”

“Everyone is super nice and knowledgeable here, and the prices are so reasonable! I'm super shy but everyone here put me at ease. I was looking to create a fish tank cover with cutouts for my filter etc and Junior turned out also to be an aquarium enthusiast! I didn't come in with questions, but he educated me on the thickness of the acrylic meant to go under LED lights and heated water, whether or not it'll bow over time, how much light will pass through to my plants, and so on! He's so nice and patient, and made sure that my cover was the perfect dimensions. The cutouts are an additional $5 for each in addition to the price of the rectangular acrylic and the entire custom piece came out much cheaper than the pet shop.In addition, Edgar and one other person (sorry, I forgot his name!) helped answer questions about other pieces in the store and their customization. The plastic containers = food safe, great for use as travel bottles, and basically wholesale price--how could you beat that?”

I was the only person in line at the pick-up area and they had my items ready and waiting. The whole thing took 10 minutes. My recommendation: GO EARLY”

The double-pane insulated glass hasn't seen any condensation, and from the inside, the wood glows. The outside? Perfect match to my Rockridge home. There are plenty of cheaper, cheezy windows, sold at big box stores, often made of plastic, vinyl, MDF, or some gawdawful gunk. You get what you pay for. “Walking through the Financial District these days is a pretty lonely experience. Fortunately there's an island of friendly helpful people and they work at Financial District Hardware. I suppose as much for security reasons as anything, staff are standing at the door to open it, greet you, and direct you to the exact isle where sought after items can be found. Of course if they don't have your item, they'll tell you that too so you don't 'waste anytime, but that's rarely been the case. The store is convenient to my home and all 14 people working in the Financial District, and I'm able to get in and out quickly, making my shopping experience a breeze. The only negative I can think of is that the prices are a bit more expensive than the box stores but the helpful service and convenience more than make up for the prices. Oh, and if you are thinking of driving there - don't.Overall, Financial District Hardware offers exceptional customer service and a great selection of products. While it may be a bit more expensive, the convenience and fantastic service more than make up for the prices. I would highly recommend this store to anyone in the area.”

“Like a mini version of Home Depot but instead of missing certain departments and supplies do to being a smaller size, you don't actually be reduced in any, instead you gain in many of the things you're missing from home depot. The main and most important thing that any and all businesses rather alike or not always will have this one same thing at the very least, customer service, good or bad or even so ignored, that it seems obsolete(nonexistent), which is what you get if at all at home depot. But Ace hardware you can count on, for customer service and having the supplies you need. Although being one of the smaller, if not the smallest store in it's category, you would think it has more employees than some of the bigger and biggest stores in it's category. The reason it may seem so, is cuz you don't have a problem finding help if needed. You can always find someone when needed, instead of having to search around for someone like they are hiding or something. The employees actually come looking to help you in case you need it or need help finding something.”
