“My partner and I stayed at the Madrona for two nights in March. It was one of the best hotel experiences we've had in a long time. The mansion is gracious, welcoming, modern, and cozy all at the same time. If you have the opportunity, I encourage you to wake up early and spend some time in the main parlor as the sun creeps over the hills. It's incredibly peaceful and leads your mind to wonder what it must have been like for the original owners to live in this gorgeous place.The grounds are beautifully gardened. Spending time on the front porch or strolling the grounds fulfills your soul. We want to come back and enjoy the pool in warmer weather.The staff at the Madrona is top notch. Everyone was incredibly helpful and kind. If you need a wine tasting booked, check on local restaurant, or ask advice on things to do, they are there to help.We are looking forward to our next visit!”

“We had a relaxing and absolutely delightful stay at the Ruse! with zero complaints!

We were greeted warmly by Christine, who chose the perfect room for us: A Greenside Suite, #2. It's spacious, with a perfectly firm (but not too firm) bed, crisp white linens, a deep tub and roomy shower, hardwood floors, and an outdoor patio facing the putting green.

A spotless room with ample towels and high functioning A/C are two top priorities, and this room fit the bill.

There's also a gorgeous pool (warm enough for a relaxing dip) and the most beautiful, contemporary, expansive breakfast/dining room I've seen at a hotel this size. The young chef Aidan puts together a lovely egg based meal--different every day--and serves it with a smile and a chill vibe. We loved chatting with him about culinary school and his dreams. He's one of the many people who make The Ruse feel like a home away from home.

The housekeeping staff is also warm and friendly and does their jobs so well...it's impossible to feel anything but gratitude for such a beautiful spot.

The whole staff from Christine to Derek to Aidan and all of their colleagues are a delight. And that the hotel is located just 3-5 minutes drive from the center of downtown Healdsburg is an added plus!

We'll stay again, for sure, and couldn't be happier to have discovered this special spot!”

“My stay at Montage Healdsburg was genuinely memorable. The property is stunning, and the One Bedroom Deluxe Vineyard suite was absolutely worth the splurge. The setting, the design, and the sense of calm throughout the resort make it feel unlike anywhere else.

What truly stood out was the staff. Every single person I interacted with was attentive, warm, and carried a level of positive energy that made the entire experience feel elevated. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests.

Compass Sports was a highlight for us. I rented a bike to explore the property with my kid, and we even borrowed a guitar—small touches that added so much to the stay.

Hazel Hill was another standout. The food was delicious, the ambience welcoming, and the team there were absolute stars.

After staying at almost every high-end property out there, Montage stands at the top for me. The combination of stay quality, service, and overall ambience is unmatched. This is, without a doubt, one of the best properties anywhere.”

“We (2 adults) stayed for a week in late October and we had a great experience. The staff was always very helpful and the shuttle to town is a great feature. It’s close enough to town for convenience and wineries all around so it’s just a great spot. The building and room finishes are all very modern and clean. The breakfast is pretty straightforward but well prepared and there are loads of options nearby, easily walkable too, if you’re in the mood for something else. The pool is heated and was still open, bocce court also in great shape. We will default to this hotel every trip.

“This modern hotel is right there in downtown Healdsburg, within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, wine tasting rooms, etc. The hotel itself is excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and balcony was a great bonus. Service was very good overall. Complimentary continental breakfast was great as well. I can highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back!”

“Lovely garden but the view from our underground room was blocked by a privacy wall. Windowless room unless sliding door curtains open. Room when booked suggested a room with a view, not really. The inn is pretty and historic.”
