“Yesterday I was attemping to change the gasketing on my wood burning stove. When I unscrewed a screw that holds the glass. The screw broke and got jammed. I thought that I was out of luck and that I needed to buy an entire new piece. I decided to bring the piece into the ace hardware in auburn ca. When I did one of the employees by the name of Vader brought the piece too their back and had to work on it for a half hour and was able to get the screw out. I offered to pay him and he said that he was happy that he could help and didn't want any money. Not only did he go out of his way free of charge. He saved me at least a couple hundred dollars to replace the piece. My experience at this store is night and day difference compared to home depot where some of the staff looks irritated when you ask for help.”

You never know what they will have on clearance there. Today they had a skill radial arm saw for a hundred and fifty bucks . That's like 100 off.”

“Employee helped me find items I was looking for and then gave me some tips on sizing wire nuts. Good customer service today. Normally I find someone not familiar with the department items and cannot point out the required items in electrical to do the job. In the fan department they did not have stock of the display I wanted. They have Hampton Bay but not Hunter ceiling fans.”
“First of all, this is a contractor store so I felt a bit apprehensive going in for the first time as I am just a DIY homeowner trying to fix my drip system. As soon as I walked in , Michael greeted me and made me feel right at home. He personally walked me thru my project and hand picked all the parts I needed himself! Later that day I had to go back for another part and Roberto provided me with the exact same level of service. It's clear that service is a big part of their store culture and they perform the lost art of customer service better than almost any other business I have encountered in the last year. “I was sent to Homewood with a list of lumber to replace some trim boards on our house. It's an older house, so of course, the size of the boards were different. Got tothe counter and was met by Sean. He was so patient with me. I was given a list, a very confusing list, by the guy doing the work. Sean was fantastic.I kept him busy for awhile.
