La Chapala Market is a restaurant and busy market in Old Town, near the Toyota dealership. It has all kinds of Mexican food items, including tacos, burritos, Pozole, homemade tortillas, and salsa. There are prepared items like tacos and burritos, and a grocery store for meat. Booths are in front near the street. Parking has gotten better with Project Connect. It is safe for bike or bus. Bones were in tacos and Pozole.
I have been here about four times and have always been pleased. I love how it's both a restaurant and a busy market. There are nice booths in front near the street. Parking has gotten way better since the Project Connect re-striping. And if you use a bike or the bus to access Old Town, you will find it much more safe now.

Bland fatty Barbacoa burrito. Truly disappointing. Salsa couldn’t even save this. I hesitate trying the rest of the items. While eating just biting into chunks of fat were disgusting.
