I had an amazing experience with this groomer! They had my pup looking and smelling fantastic just in time for the 4th of July. The pop of blue color was absolutely perfect — festive and adorable!
They were super punctual and had premier customer service from start to finish. You can tell they genuinely care about the pets they groom. I also loved the thoughtful accessories my dog left with — such a cute touch!
I’ll definitely be bringing my pup back again. If you're looking for someone who goes above and beyond, this is your groomer!

6755 Camino Arroyo Bldg 5, Gilroywhile traveling from Nor Cal to San Diego my little girl had some gastro issues that resulted in me seeing blood in her poop. it was 5:45pm i was in Gilroy for dinner. i looked up nearest vet still open and jammed over with her in my arms. as i approached the desk the sign said “apologies we are closing at 6 today” as i started to blubber my case the Dr. was literally on his way home. He stopped. went in with us and did an exam and gave me meds to soothe her issues- and took the fecal for a test. i am so grateful to the staff for accepting us so last minute. knowing i was traveling they still called the next day to check on my little girl. thank you Dr Gill and the receiving staff

Before meeting Akina K9, I thought I understood what it meant to be a dog owner. I loved my dogs deeply, but when it came to training, my knowledge was limited to the basics: sit, down, go home, and come. There wasn’t much structure or true obedience. Looking back at our two dogs of 10 years, I now realize I could have given them an even better quality of life—if only I had understood what real training meant.
Fast forward five years, we decided to bring a larger breed into our family. This time, we agreed that proper training would not only make our lives easier but also give our dog the best life possible.
Throughout our journey, Rich has been incredibly supportive—always available whenever we needed guidance. He’s patient, understanding, and knows exactly when to step in and help redirect us when we’re struggling.
Now, more than a year later, we’re still training with Akina K9—and plan to continue. The transformation in our household has been amazing. Our dog is thriving, confident, and his recall improves every single day.

The booking process starts with an email that spells out what is included in the service plus a questionnaire so they can better understand the needs of your dog. Suzana provides you with all the details you need and if you have questions she gets back to you quickly. A contract and invoice is provided via email and then drop off and pick up times are set. They are by appointment so no drop ins but having a booked time makes sure you get individual attention at drop off and pickup. The boarding facility can accommodate any type of dog you have. Plenty of parking. They accept all major credit cards and offer payment plans. The staff and owners are great and some of the best customer service around. The focus is on what is best for the dogs and that is what matters most. It is a small operation and small team so I recommend booking as early as possible to confirm your stay. You can reach them by email, text or leave a voicemail if you call. I always recommend my friends, family and clients to them!

2895 Dryden Ave, GilroyI reached out to Thriving Canine after receiving several recommendations from the Nextdoor app. My alpha maltipoo, Zelda, barks and nips at my mother-in-law's golden retriever in our home and we needed help to correct her behavior. I could feel Chad's calm and confident energy the moment he walked through our door. Our dogs LOVED him! He took his time listening to our situation and provided feedback appropriately. We did a few practice scenarios in our home in which he showed us how to correct/control the bad behavior. Chad is actually quite funny and had us laughing throughout the session. His passion for dogs is evident in his work and we plan to see him again in the weeks to come.

We ordered a large family combo with ribs, chicken and tri tip. Everything was very delicious, and our children (10 and 5) loved it too.
I'm looking forward to our next trip that passes through this section of 101!

My girlfriend and I stopped by Promised Land having no idea what to expect, and we were absolutely blown away! They offered an amazing selection of some of the best beers we'd ever tasted, and the staff were amazing. We even met the owner and the guy was off-the-charts friendly, funny, and definitely knew his beers! I can't recommend Promised Land highly enough, go check it out!

Settle Down Brewery & Taproom
7515 Monterey Rd, GilroyGreat beer choices and friendly staff. From the pictures, it looks like it might be more popular on weekends. We came on a weeknight, and there were not as many people. We found the furniture to be uncomfortable (metal high chairs with no back, and an unusually tall table with regular wooden chairs around it- it was awkward to sit at). It felt pretty bare, as far as decor and ambiance go.
But we DID like the beer! (They are on the Untappd app!)
You can walk down the street 1 block to Promised Land Brewery from here. That one has equally good beers and more ambiance (& comfortable chairs), but is much smaller.

They have a huge selection of reds and their desert wine is to die for. They also host large events. I absolutely love the ambiance of the tasting room, which includes a very long tasting bar for those crowded days. By all means, allow a couple of hours for this tasting, you'll enjoy your time here. The downside, I'm currently living in MN and there's no shipping offered to that state, otherwise we would have joined a wine club.

3050 Hecker Pass Hwy, GilroyLeider war unser Besuch alles andere als angenehm. Wir hatten einen Platz im Schatten reserviert. Kamen an und bekamen erst mal eine Platz direkt in der Sonne zugeteilt. Wir dachten uns, naja, hilft ja nichts. Dann ging das Warten los. Wir saßen 25 Minuten in der prallen Sonne, ohne auch nur beachtet zu werden. Nach uns kommende Gäste wieder bedient, wir hatten weder Schatten noch Getränke. Irgendwann wurde ein Schattenplatz frei. Den schnappten wir uns dann. Und nach insgesamt 35 Minuten konnten wir auch endlich unsere Getränke bestellen (kurzzeitig waren wir schon am Überlegen lieber zum goldenen M zu fahren) Wir bestellten als zeitgleich Getränke und essen. Essen kam dann auch. Nur leider hatten wir kein Bedteck. Also wieder warten. Nach dem wir leicht angsäuert waren, genossen wir aber das leckere Essen. Die restlichen Pizza gaben wir der Bedienung zum einpacken. Wir bezahlten und warteten wieder - auf die eingepackte Pizza. Irgendwann ging mein Mann nach oben zur Theke, wo die Bedienung stand und Besteck abtrocknen. Auf unsere Frage wo denn die Pizza sei, "oh die hab ich ganz vergessen, da drüben steht sie" Naja ist halt alles andre als gut gelaufen an diesem Tag. Aber das Essen war wirklich lecker.
