My recent visit to The Home Depot on Katella Ave in Orange, CA, was mostly great, although it had one notable low point. Let's break it down, shall we?My mission for the day was simple - just a couple of boxes and some tape for an upcoming move. Of course, as with any trip to Home Depot, I found myself wandering around the store; you never know when inspiration might strike for a new DIY project, right?While navigating the store, I had the pleasure of meeting Anna in the kitchen area, who kindly pointed me in the right direction when I was looking for the restroom. Staff like Anna are what make shopping experiences truly enjoyable - it's not just about buying products, but the interaction and the community feel that really matter.Now, the one unfortunate aspect of my visit was the state of the bathroom. It was, to put it mildly, not up to par. I had to walk right back out, which wasn't a pleasant surprise.To sum it all up, The Home Depot on Katella Ave is a great place to shop for all your DIY and home improvement needs. It's brimming with potential project ideas and great staff like Anna. However, the cleanliness of the restroom could definitely use some attention. For this reason, I'm giving this Home Depot location a solid 4 stars - a little polishing and it could easily reach that 5-star standard. Keep up the great work, and let's clean up those bathrooms! “We did a full home renovation a little over a year ago, but I accidentally forgot about this place and decided to do a review now since we bought several items here and they have mostly stood up to the test of time. We bought 2 large LED mirrors for our Master Bathroom which have actually been fantastic. We also bought 2 other LED mirrors from Costco for our other bathrooms, and I'll have to say that the ones we bought here are much, much better and they were around the same price as Costco. You can definitely see the difference in quality not only in the lighting, but also in the mirror quality as the mirror we bought here has a much more clear reflection. I always thought a mirror is a mirror, but that is absolutely not true and it's clear when you have two different brands to compare them to each other, you can definitely see how one might have a better reflection than another. We also bought a freestanding bath tub which has so far been excellent. No issues so far and it also feels much bigger when you actually take a bath in it, then when when we saw it in the showroom. This also was probably around $200-300 cheaper than if we bought a similarly sized one at Home Depot or Lowes. With our freestanding bath tub, we also bought a freestanding bathtub faucet in nickel. Again, so far it's worked great and we have no complaints. This also was much cheaper than buying a more popular name brand such as Delta or Kohler. I would think it was more than half the price of the name brands. This was probably our best deal at Luxor. Finally, we bought 2 different brands of one-piece elongated toilets. This was probably our biggest disappointment. Although the price of these toilets were probably around one-half of name brands, such as Kohler, I think in the future, I would just go with a name brand. These aren't bad toilets, but one of the brands has really cheap seats that move around a lot. We tried to replace the seats, but it's hard to find a perfect size that fits. While the other toilet's seat is fine, but will splash a little water outside the bowl when you flush, which is kind of gross. Overall, we can live with the deficiencies of these toilets and would probably give them 3 stars for the price, but taking into account the other items, I'd have to give them 5 stars. Also, overall, the customer service is good. I wouldn't say great, but good and probably better than if you were to purchase at Home Depot or Lowes.”

“Nice place to get just about everything you need for home and garden. This time, tried the pickup lockers (Just outside the front entrance). Lift the flap, touch the screen, enter the code from the text, and it pops open the compartment containing your purchase. It's great for smaller items!”

“I had a problem with low water pressure in my house, and I called Green Garden Plumber's for help. The plumbers were able to diagnose the issue and fix it in no time. They also provided me with some tips on how to maintain good water pressure in my house. The service was professional, and the price was very fair.”

“The Home Depot! Everything you need for home improvement can be found here. And other things you need. I wanted to grab some boxes for moving and found some other things I've been needing. I found AA batteries, which I've been wanting for some toys. And then I grabbed some items for laundry; Woolite (a lifesaver for anyone who wears black or dark colors!), and laundry beads (they make my clothes smell soooooooo dang good!). I was able to get all the things I wanted and needed. :)”

“It was a typical Home Depot except for all the building supplies are in the back. So as a contractor, if you need to get it, that's where it is. Typically it's upfront I'd prefer that.. There's no people working there either huh I'm gonna. I didn't see anybody on the floor working, but it was closing time on a Sunday. It is a little smaller than most HD's. But for the most part it's there. I got my 3 sheets of drywall and split after that. I recommend it.”

“This store was really helpful and insightful for when I had just came in. I was referred to by a floor planner that I was working with and right as I came into the store I was greeted and helped with immediately. There were several customers inside being helped and I got helped as soon as they were done. I came in asked for silver underlayment they helped me find the right one and got me in and out with a snap of a finger.”

“Evelyn Captain of Events was my secret Santa this year!!! I came in looking for the Grinch tree and found a sad little dried up tree by the register. I was told there weren’t anymore but I decided to ask one more person and there she was! She was able to guide me to a rack that was hidden between these ginormous (small) palm trees, and found a tree that was exactly what I was looking for. I was actually hesitant to ask her for help because she looked like she was hustling trying to get her work done, butshe was very pleasant and approachable. Thank you so much, Evelyn!”

“Make use of their curbside pickup if you can. Like most homeowners, we have been to Home Depot many, many times, sometimes to pick up a specific item, but other times to just browse for inspiration. As I've gotten older, it has become less interesting to me (mainly as I've found that I'm just not as good as contractors who can do it faster and with a far greater professional finish). But as we start on a reno for our bathrooms, we've made great use of their website and mobile app to browse, choose, and pay for bathroom fixtures. For the things that are located further away and could be transported without a truck, we have been picking them via our car. One of those things is a medicine cabinet with lighted mirror, which my wife ordered through the mobile app. It showed that the closest one for quickest pickup was in Orange, which is why we drove down here on a Friday afternoon. Just like a Chili's, there are numerically marked parking spots near the handicapped spots in the parking lot. My wife had let this Depot know that we were coming, and once we arrived, we typed in the parking spot number that were at. Sure enough, in under 5 minutes, Nathan showed up with the packaged mirror and helped me put it in our hatchback. My wife showed him her ID, and that was it. We were on our way. Great experience, for no additional charge.”
