I randomly met the owner of pappy's in a public setting today.. he was very polite and interesting man. He shared some of his story withe and gave me some encouragement in building my new business. What a down to earth and humble man. I will support his brand from now on.

This seasoning is the best. We really enjoy it. Use it on ribs, chicken, tri-tips, steaks, pork. All around goodness for your BBQ!
In 1960, Alex “Pappy” Papulias started Pappy Meat Company in Fresno, California as a wholesale meat company for the San Joaquin Valley. In 1981 Pappy passed away, leaving his wife Marie, four sons and a daughter to run the increasingly competitive meat business. Pappy and Marie’s youngest son, Edward, while attending college, decided the company should change direction focusing on specialty seasonings and sauces. With little capital to start off, Edward began manufacturing its first product as Pappy’s Choice Seasoning in 1985 and distributing to a few supermarkets under the new name Pappy’s Fine Foods, Inc.
